To Anyone whose Lost Someone Close To Them;
I hope that you find the closer that you need in order for you to move on in life but also I hope you never forget the good times you had with that person.

The sound of Healers shoes walking past them gave them hope that maybe this time they might get some news on their daughter, sister and friend. Each and every person that was sitting in the waiting room had some sort of reason for feeling hurt or sad but just looking over at the group that had been sitting there, for what seemed like days but had really only been hours, made them think that maybe they were going through a tougher time then what they were.
Lily Potter sat in the waiting room, surrounded by those close friend and family that had come with her and her husband when it had happened. She bit her lip and looked up at the ceiling. The chipped paint could even make her forget that picture of her little girl lying there on the grass, almost like she was asleep but at the same time there was something sinister about it.
The feeling of someone touching her made her jump a little and she turned and looked at her husband. She hoped that she didn’t look as distraught as what he did because she knew that James had away of making things look better with just one look and with him looking the way he did it didn’t do anything but make her realise the severity of the situation.
She sent a smile at him and then looked back at the rest of the group. Each person was dealing with what was happening in their own way. He eyes settled on the children who were either playing or they were sitting quietly, not knowing what was going on but knowing it wouldn’t do any good asking questions. Lily’s eyes settled on two little boys sitting about six feet away from her and she began to wonder if they had known something was wrong before anyone else.

Lily looked over the top of the half blown up balloon and over at the kids that were running around the living room. Each and everyone was excited, even her husband was; it wasn’t every day that someone’s triplets turned four after all. As she began to tie a knot to stop the air coming out of the balloon, her eyes were drawn to a little girl sitting on the floor just watching the others run. Lily looked around to try and spot where the other two thirds of the triplets were and once she had spotted them her eyes went back to the third and youngest triplet and youngest girl of the Potter family.
Harannah Jade Potter was just sitting there watching as her brothers and sister engaged themselves in a game of tag with the Weasley children who had arrived about fifteen minutes ago. Normally Harry would be the first into something so it was very strange to see the newly four year old just sitting there and watching everything that was going on. Next to her, Lily noticed, was her teddy named Pumpkin. It was very strange to see Pumpkin out of Harry’s room, let alone on a completely different floor.
As Lily placed the balloon on the ground with the rest of the balloons, she saw Fred and George Weasley run in, followed closely by the other two thirds of the triplets. Daniel Manix and Matthew Grahame were a pretty good match for the Weasley twins but with Harry in on it, the twins didn’t stand a chance. On a number of occasions the twins were brought down by the triplets who used there prank skills, that were passed on genetically, in order to get the jump on them.
Lily picked up another balloon and then watched as Daniel went and sat down next to Harry while Matthew continued to chase after the Weasley twins, with the help of Bill Weasley. Molly Weasley walked over and started to help with the balloons now that she had stopped a fight between Charlie and Percy Weasley and that took her mind off Harry.

James Potter held his wife’s hand in his, trying to comfort her but at the same time trying to make himself realise that this wasn’t some sort of nightmare his subconscious had created in order for him to spend more time with his children. He cast a glance at his wife and then looked away. There was a look on her face that was a look he had hoped he would never have to see when concerning one of their children. Getting to his feet, he made his way towards the bathroom; not bothering to tell Lily where he was going. He got in there and then leant against the sink.
As he closed his eyes he realised that it didn’t matter what he had promised when they had gotten married; he wasn’t able to fulfil it. He wasn’t able to realise that something was wrong with his baby girl.
He wasn’t even watching when she had collapsed.
He looked up at the mirror and realised he didn’t look like the same person that he had seen that morning while he had been shaving. He sighed and ran a hand over his face. That morning seemed like it was such a long time ago, it felt like years in stead of hours.

James groaned as he heard the alarm clock go off next to him. He didn’t know why they needed an alarm clock in the first place; but after two weeks of James sleeping in and being late for work, Lily had insisted that they got one because then she would have to hear him complaining about his boss. Next to him he heard Lily moan and then turn over to look at him.
“Why did you set the alarm clock?” She asked, still half asleep. “It’s Saturday. You don’t have to go to work.”
“I didn’t,” James replied and then sat up.
“Harry,” Lily sighed.
“Pardon?”
“It was Harry. I was wondering what she was going in here yesterday,” Lily explained. “Obviously she’s learnt how to set the alarm.”
“She’s took smart for her own good,” James said and then swung his legs over the side of the bed. He made his way into their private bathroom before Lily even decided to move again.
By the time be got out of the shower, Lily had left the room; not doubt to go and get the kids downstairs to have breakfast. He pulled his t-shirt on and then looked in the mirror. Had someone told him when he was seventeen that he would be married to his major crush and would have seven beautiful children; he would have told them that they were crazy. He was halfway through shaving when he got this feeling that he was being watched. He turned his head and looked at the doorway. Standing there was Harry.
He smiled and looked at her for a few minutes. Her black hair was out and looked like it hadn’t been brushed yet as her curls were everywhere. She was dressed in denim overalls and a red t-shirt; the only things other then a simple t-shirt and pants that Harry could put on herself without getting her parents to help. Her feet were bare and James would swear he could see some of Kimberly’s nail polish on Harry’s toes. Obviously Lily’s hadn’t known about the toes.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” James asked before going back to shaving.
“Mummy wants you to know that breakfast is ready,” Harry said as she walked into the bathroom, put the lid down on the toilet and then sat on it.
“Is that all?” James asked.
“I think she mentioned something about hoping you left hot water for her,” Harry said looking at her father.
There was silence for a few minutes, allowing for James to finish his shaving and wash the remaining foam off his face. He turned around and looked at Harry.
“Why don’t we put a comb through that hair first?” He asked, before picking her up off the toilet and sitting her on the vanity bench.
As James brushed Harry’s hair, he watched as she looked around the bathroom. He could never understand why it was that Harry and he had a bond. They were completely different, opposites to the max. While Harry took after him in colouring, she was Lily in everything else. She looked like a little dark hair Lily Potter. As he watched his daughter he figured that it was because of those differences that they were so close.
Once he had finished brushing Harry’s hair he picked her up and got her to stand on the bench. As he looked at her he could guess that there was something wrong but he couldn’t put his finger on it at all.
“You alright, hon?” James asked and Harry looked at him for a few seconds before answering.
“I’m feeling a bit tired.”
“You think you could make it through a day filled with lollies, ice cream, cake and presents without falling asleep?” James asked and smiled at Harry’s enthusiastic nod.
He got her off the bench and then carried her out of the bathroom, his and Lily’s room and down the hallway. As they walked James looked at Harry.
“Did you set the alarm to wake me and your Mum up?” James asked.
“Nope” Harry replied.

Remus Lupin watched as his friend James walked past him. At the moment he didn’t have the energy to go after him. He didn’t have the energy to do anything at the moment. It was like the moment Harry hit the ground that all his stocks of energy were completely wiped out and there was nothing left in order for him to go and comfort his friend. His close friend. His trusted friend. He felt like he was just staring down a tunnel and everything else was just blurred around him when really it shouldn’t be.
He should have been able to do something, anything. But it was just another thing to add to the list of things he hadn’t been able to pick up on when the time came for something to be done. Just like he didn’t pick up on Sirius and how he didn’t pick up on Peter. Remus put his head in his hands as the younger children decided that they had had enough of playing and wanted to know what was going on.
They couldn’t hold it off any longer and when Remus took his head out of his hands he knew that no one else would be in a state to be able to explain that something was wrong with Harry. Something that no one at this moment knew about. Something that seemed to be seriously wrong.
Another Healer walked past as Matthew started to tug on his mother’s robes. Daniel just stood there next to his brother watching his mother and the other children had just taken seats there. Remus looked at Lily, who had turned her attention from the roof to the two thirds of the triplets that were out here at this current moment.
“Mummy, where’s Harry?” Matthew asked.
As Lily tried to explain it to the kids that she didn’t know, Remus turned and looked at his watch. It had been three hours since they had arrived. Three hours since the party had been cut short. Three hours since he had seen Harry smiling at the present that she had gotten from him.
xxXXxx
The carpet was covered in brightly coloured piece of paper and at this point in time none of the adults seemed to give a damn. They were just watching as present after present was ripped open and gazed at by each of the triplets in awe before they moved on to the next one. As Daniel and Matthew showed each other their new four year old brooms; Harry left hers and went to grab the next present.
She picked it up and then grabbed the card that was attached. She smiled and looked up and over at Remus. The only person who attached cards to the presents was Remus because as he explained it while the presents might not last all that long the cards would last longer. She placed the card to the side before ripping open the paper and smiling at what was lying inside. She pulled out a rather large book. She opened the cover and tried to make sense of what it said but she couldn’t. Even though she couldn’t read she knew what it was.
Climbing off her chair with the book she ran over to Remus, who picked her up, book and all. She hugged him for a few seconds before showing him the book. Remus smiled and opened it to show the message written in it. She smiled as he read it out.
“This isn’t the one from your house,” Harry said looking at Remus.
“No, it’s not,” Remus said.
“Why isn’t it?” Harry asked.
“Because now you have one of your own,” Remus said.
“Thankyou,” Harry said and Remus placed her back on her chair to finish opening her presents.

Daniel Potter sat next to his mother, on his father’s lap. He still quite didn’t understand why they were here in this strange smelling place but he knew that it had something to do with Harry. Daniel hadn’t been able to put his finger on it but he had felt something was different that day but he didn’t know what. He had a feeling that it had something to do with Harry not wanting to play that morning when the Weasley turned up. It could also have had something to do with the fact that she hadn’t been very hungry like she normally was. Or it could have been because she looked tired when Daddy had brought her down for breakfast.
Whatever it had been it was a feeling that Daniel didn’t like and it meant that Harry was here and it meant that everyone was sad. After his mother had explained a little bit, Daniel had just climbed up and sat on his father’s seat until he had come back from the bathroom. James didn’t even remark like he usually did when one of the kids were sitting in a seat that he wanted. All James had done was pick Daniel up and then sit him up on his lap.
A couple of seats down, Daniel’s Grandfather Potter was remarking on how Harry was a fighter, just like the rest of the triplets. Daniel didn’t quite catch the rest because he had turned his mind back to what had happened just before Harry had fallen. Harry had disappeared under the table and no one had been able to find her for cake. Daniel had found her under the table with Pumpkin and the book that Remus had given her.
xxXXxx
“Whatcha doin’ under here?” Daniel asked and sat down in front of Harry. She just shrugged. “Did you know that we’re about to cut the cake?” Harry shook her head. “Why aren’t you taking?”
“I don’t know,” Harry explained. “I just don’t feel like it.”
“Cake?”
“No silly. Talking. I also don’t feel like being around all those people.”
“But we know all those people!” Daniel said, “There people we’ve know for a long time.”
“I just want to sit with Mummy and Daddy,” Harry said, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Maybe after cake you can do that?” Daniel said.
“You sure?”
“Yeah”

Everyone looked up as a Healer walked over to them. She stopped at the end of the rows.
“Mr and Mrs Potter?” she called.
Lily and James got to their feet and walked over to the Healer. Everyone else just sat and watched. They talked for a few minutes and then James gave a motion for everyone to follow them. The walk was silent and nothing was said until they got to Harry’s room. They looked through the window and saw this tiny figure on a huge bed.
“At the moment we’re still not clear what it is that has caused your daughter to collapse. What we do know is that she’s got abnormal levels of Elevo magic running through her veins.”
“What’s does that mean?” James asked.
“Elevo magic is the magic that our bodies use in order to heal our selves quicker then normal. Without the magic we’d have to heal at the same rate as Muggles. Because of these high levels we can guess that your daughter has had this condition for a while and it’s just now with such high Elevo levels that her body can’t function with her being awake and therefore has shut itself down.”
“But she’ll wake up right?” Harold Potter asked.
“At the moment we don’t know. We don’t know what it is that is causing this shut down and if what is causing this is something that could end up threatening your daughter’s life later on down the track, I personally don’t want to force her body to wake up.”
“So we have to wait for her to wake up normally then?” Lily asked.
“It seems like the best thing to do. The thing is if this is something that is deadly, it would end up taking Harannah’s Evelo level to a hight where she’ll never wake up again and she’ll stay in this coma or her body will just give up.”
“Just like that? She could die?” James asked.
“We don’t know for certain.”
James nodded and looked back into the room.

It had been at the suggestion of Lily’s parents that they should take the children and go home. At least there they could keep the children occupied until there was some other news. Lily and James had only agreed with nods. Like any parents who were in a situation like this, they were worried about the child who was in the room but they knew that they had to do something so the other children didn’t think that anything was really wrong.
After bidding everyone farewell, Lily and James were the only ones left standing in the hallway and watching Harry through the window. The Healer was checking her vital signs and once she wrote something down on the bulletin pad at the end of the bed. The Healer then walked out of the room and over to the parents.
“You can go in and sit with her. Talk with her. She’s responding to people talking,” The Healer said and then walked off down the corridor to check on her other patients. Lily and James stayed rooted to the spot, just looking into the room. After a few minutes, James took Lily’s hand and they walked into the room and over to their daughters bed.
She looked so small on that huge bed. The pale white sheets didn’t help at all and she looked neath death. The only sign that she was actually alive was that of her chest gently rising and falling and the beeping of her heart and Elevo magic monitors.
Lily sat on the side of the bed and took one of Harry’s hands. James stood beside her and they just stood there; waiting and watching for something to happen and for their daughter to wake up.

“Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Matthew, Daniel and Harry. Happy birthday to you!”
The sound of the birthday tune vibrated right around the back yard as each of the triplets stood behind their own cake and laughed at the silly faces that the Weasley twins were making as they were singing. Once the song had been sung, Lily and James passed each off the triplets a knife, not a sharp knife but a butter knife, and helped them cut into their cake. Each of the cakes was different because each represents the part of the game of Quiditch that they liked the best.
Matthew’s was a giant quaffle, Daniel’s was a giant bludger and Harry’s was a snitch; hoops, bats and wings and all. Once the cake had been cut, the triplets were helped down by their parents off their stools while the cake was being cut up for everyone to have a piece. As James placed Daniel on the ground, Daniel held on to James’s shirt.
“What’s wrong Buddy?” James asked.
“Harry’s not feeling well I don’t think,” Daniel explained.
“What makes you say that?” James asked.
“Cause she doesn’t want to play,” Daniel explained. “All she wants to do is sit with you and Mummy and she always wants to do that when she’s sick.”
James nodded and looked over his shoulder at Harry who was sitting on her stool just looking at her feet which she was slightly swinging.
“Ok, I’ll deal with her,” James told Daniel as he turned to look at him. “You go off and play.” Daniel nodded and started to walk off. “Danny!” Daniel stopped and turned to face his father. “You’re a good boy for looking out for your sister”

It had been about twelve hours since Lily and James Potter had walked into St Mungo’s and neither had had any sleep. Both had taken the time to go visit their other children and put them to bed but other then that little trip and other trips to the bathroom, neither had left their daughter’s side. The Healer would come in every half hour to check on Harry’s vital signs, explain how the levels were going and then leave to go do paperwork or check on the various other patients that she had under her care.
Across from her, James had fallen asleep. His head has on the mattress and he was lightly snoring. One of his hands held Harry’s and as she watched them she wondered how James must be feeling at that point in time. He had been the first out of his seat when Harry had started to fall and he was the first to get to her.
He just wasn’t quick enough to catch her.
Even Remus had said he wouldn’t have been able to make it over in time to catch Harry because the attack was just so sudden. Lily turned her eyes from her husband to her daughter who was just lying there, motionless against the pillows and sheets. The only sign of life was her chest rising and falling. Lily ran a hand over the top of Harry’s head and then placed that hand on her cheek.
“Wake up baby. It’s time to open your eyes. So many people are waiting for you to just open your eyes and smile,” Lily said quietly. “Your grandparents want you to wake up so much, I believe that Grandpa Harold even said that when you wake up he would take you to Disney land. Remember when you saw all of the pictures that were taken from when I went and you said that you wanted to go because it looked like so much fun? I replied that we couldn’t go because you and your brother’s were too little and because the baby was on the way Mummy wouldn’t be much fun and Daddy had so much work to do. I’m starting to wish that we had taken you earlier.”
Lily looked over at James and then back at Harry. He was asleep, she was sure of it.
“Daddy’s starting to miss you so much. I think that sometimes that if he had a choice over who was the main person in his life he would choose you over me or Madison any day,” Lily whispered. “You-”
Lily stopped mid sentence when she noticed that James was watching her. She bit her lip as he got to his feet and made his way around to where she was sitting. He wrapped his arms around her and then planted a kiss on the side of her face. He placed his chin on the top of Lily’s head and then looked down at Harry.
“Please Baby, open your eyes,” He heard Lily whisper.
xxXXxx
Music was playing from a record player that was situated in the kitchen. The notes were flowing out through the open window and the back door where everyone could hear it in the back yard. Lily and James were sitting at the table with the left over guests, just family and close friends that were left over. They were all watching as the triplets were trying out their brooms. Lily picked up Harry’s books and flicked through it for a few pages and then looked at Remus.
“What’s with the fairy tales?” Lily asked.
“Harry found my old one in a box I was looking though a couple of months ago when I was watching her and the boys were with you two at St Mungo’s getting their Dragon shots,” Remus explained, “She was interested in them. I thought that it would be a good present to get her a copy of her own.”
Lily nodded and read through the note that he had left for Harry. She smiled at Remus and then looked over at the kids. They had gotten James’s natural flying talent that was for sure. All three of them were flying around easily after the miniature, charmed quaffle that Grandma and Grandpa Potter had gotten them for Christmas.
She had thought that it was a very good touch of James’s to colour code the three brooms to colours that the triplets wore the most. Matthew was normally wearing red the most, while Daniel preferred blue and Harry had green because it was a colour that her grandparents on both sides liked to see. They said that it brought out the eyes that she had inherited from Lily.
James was chatting away with Arthur Weasley, his father and his father-in-law about something, while the rest were busy talking in their own little groups. Molly Weasley pulled Lily into a conversation which made her take her eyes off the children for a second.
A second is long enough for anything to happen.
Matthew and Daniel Potter stopped and climbed off their brooms as Harry flew over to where they were. She wasn’t going really fast but it was fast enough that if she fell off there was be some grass burn and some grazes. Daniel turned around to say something to Harry when he saw Harry’s eyes begin to droop. Her grip slackened on the broom stick and she began to fall.
It was just a Lily began to reply to Molly that a cry came up into the air. Lily turned her head in a flash and saw Daniel crying out and running towards Harry as she began to fall off her broom. Within a couple of seconds all the adults were out of their seats and James had started to run. He’d started a few seconds too late. She hit the ground before anyone could do anything and then she rolled.
When James got to his daughter’s side she was just lying there, as if she had just laid down on the ground and fallen asleep. Her breathing was shallow and her eyes were slightly fluttering, as if she was fighting to stay awake.
xxXXxx
James watched Harry as Lily got to her feet to get something to drink. She was about halfway across the room when James noticed that Harry’s hand had moved. He called out Lily’s name and then turned back to look at Harry. Her head was turning from side to side and then slowly, her eyes began to open. Lily was there in a heartbeat and the two parents watched at Harry rubbed her eyes and then turned her head to look at them.
“Mummy? Daddy?”
James smiled.
“We’re here baby,” Lily said. “We’re here.”
