Author’s Note: Second Avatar Oneshot today. Be happy. Read and Review as always. Thanks. And also, tell me if you want me to keep this story going beyond a one-shot.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Avatar or any of the characters… sad, I know.

Ty Lee sighed and walked through the forest contentedly. Her hands were clasped behind her back as she looked around, examining every detail of the trees, of the bushes, of the creatures that hid when she passed by. Azula had allowed her some “alone” time today, although she had prepared to take the time regardless of whether the lightning princess allowed her or not. Mei was still depressed that Zuko was exiled, poor girl, and Azula had been lightning bending during all their free time, so neither really cared when Ty Lee left to take some time to calm herself. Traveling with Azula was taxing to her emotional health and mental sanity. She also almost never EVER had time to practice her martial arts. Azula always had her running errands.

Ty Lee came into a clearing, and smiled softly. Finally, an open place that wasn’t tainted by the presence of the fiery princess. The acrobat did a light flip, landing on her hands and moving around with practiced ease. How good it was to be able to bend yet again… and not the way that she normally was born to. A silent tear ran upside down from Ty Lee’s eye, up her forehead and into her hair. She flipped upright and wiped it away, repressing sobs as she remembered her horrible heritage. She was the daughter of the fire general. The normally bubbly acrobat clenched her teeth and lifted a palm into the air, conjuring the fire that she hated so very much. Nobody else knew that she could firebend… and nobody would ever know. Slowly, Ty Lee closed her hand and her slight form wracked with horrible sobs as she collapsed to the ground, body shaking. She never wanted to be this… she never wanted to be fire nation.

A rustling sound echoed throughout the clearing and immediately Ty Lee stopped her crying, wiping away the tears and steeling her gaze toward a bush. It rustled again and she flipped upright, a single arm extended in that direction, the other pressed close against her incase she had to defend herself. With that, a growl emanated from the bush, yet it wasn’t an animal-like sound. And then a person walked out that she knew all too well.

“Ahh…” she whispered, recognizing the blue clothing and the black hair pulled back into a ponytail. “And friend,” she said, referring to when they had met during the time him and his “gang” had taken down the huge drill outside of Ba Sing Se. Sokka had a shocked but annoyed expression on his face as he drew his boomerang and club, awaiting her to flip forward with a barrage of pokes and jabs that would render him defenseless. “Oh, how am I supposed to stand up to such a strong man like you?” Ty Lee said lightly, in her old bubbly tone, beckoning the boy to make the first, reckless strike.

“Oh I don’t know…” Sokka replied sarcastically and slowly, cautiously, he strolled forward. Ty Lee didn’t miss a beat, flipping up high into the air so she landed behind Sokka, but he was already turned around and was dodging her strategic taps with ease, fluidly moving out of the way.

“Ooohh, cutie’s learned some new moves,” Ty Lee teased, and Sokka was unable to withhold a smile. She thought that he was cute. The acrobatic fire princess jumped up into the air, jabbing down at him from above and then easily landing behind him. He ducked down, turned to face her, and then used his crouch to spring forward, knocking Ty Lee off of her feet and onto her back. So he laid there, arms pinning down Ty Lee’s dangerous hands as he straddled her wriggling form. “Let me go!!” she squealed at him angrily, attempting to get her hands free so she could jab him into oblivion.

Sokka smirked quietly, looking down at the small form of Ty Lee and seeing how… how cute she actually was. With that, Sokka bent down so his mouth was right by Ty Lee’s ear. “Never,” he breathed on her cool skin, and he could feel the shiver run through her body as her breathing grew ragged. With that, he got up from on top of her, teasing her by breaking his promise, and picked up his dropped boomerang and club. She just lay there, staring up at the sky and wondering what had just happened. “Are you gonna get up or not?” a voice whispered into her ear and she flipped up lightly, turning around to see Sokka. How had he snuck up on her so quietly?

“So…” Ty Lee began elaborately. “What happened to ‘never’?” she said to him, walking forward and swaying her hips back and forth. Sokka immediately tensed up, fearing one of her crippling taps, now that she was able to move freely. She came to a stop in front of him; her hips pressed up against his and fingers doodling across the front of his shirt. “Well?” she breathed into his ear quietly, and before she could react, she had been lifted off the ground, his arms around her waist as the water tribe boy kissed her. She slowly sunk into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her face back against his.

With that, she totally forgot about her horrible heritage, and decided that all she wanted was to stay their, entwined within the boy’s strong arms as their faces pressed together feverishly… that was all she wanted… and all she would ever need.

Author’s Note: I always thought that Ty Lee and Sokka should be together. They made such a great couple. Lol, anyway, R&R as always people, but as much as you beg, this remains a Oneshot. Sorry!
