CHAPTER 12: HERO OF TOONIA

Everyone cheers to see the defeat of Chase Young as fireworks explode. But Donald walks down the stairs in a tattered outfit and slightly burned. “That was a deliberate attempt on my life!” he snapped, “Where is she? Now she's done it. What a mess.” He sees Dani and her friends but Jimmy, Timmy, and troops push Dani behind them to protect her. “Stand aside, that creature's not worth protecting,” Donald said.

“Don’t say that to Buttercup or Dani!” Timmy snapped.

“Right. She's a hero,” Jimmy spoke.

“'Tis a woman,” Donald said, “She will never be worth anything.”

Angered, Jimmy grabs Donald by the shirt collar, “Listen, you pompous…”

“That is enough!” The gang looks up to see Mickey walking down the steps.

“Your Majesty, I can explain,” Jimmy said.

Emperor Mickey motions for Jimmy to stand aside. Jimmy, Timmy, and the men and girls part giving Emperor Mickey a clear path to Dani. Dani steps forward and bows before Emperor Mickey. Donald with a sinister look waits to write down the words of the Emperor.

“I've heard a great deal about you, Danielle Fenton, Mickey said to him, “You stole your father's armor, ran away from home, impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonored the Chinese army, destroyed my palace, AND...” Dani winces, knowing the Emperor was really mad now. What was he gonna do to her? “…You have saved us all.” Mickey said soft. Dani looks up, shocked. Mickey then bows to Dani.

Donald looks at Mickey’s actions astonishingly then immediately falls prostrate before Dani. Jimmy, Timmy, the PowerPuffs, SpongeBob, Patrick, Eduardo, and Numbuh 1, 2, and 4 follow suit to bow down. Dani looks up then turns around hardly believing what she sees as the entire Toon population within the palace grounds fall prostrate on the ground in a wave like pattern, bowing to her. Spirit bows down also with the Digimon and Mudkip on his back.

Guilmon sobbed a bit. “Our little baby's all grown up and savin' Toonia.” He spoke.

“I know,” Agumon said.

Veemon was sobbing and turns to the Mudkip. “You have a tissue?”

“Mudkip?” Mudslap looks at him.

“Donald…” Mickey began.

“Your Excellency?” Donald asked.

“See to it that this woman is made a member of my council,” Mickey answered.

“A member of your coun... what?” he was shocked and stutters. “But there are no council positions open, your Majesty.” He said smirking.

Mickey turns to Dani “Very well then, you can have his job,” he said pointing to Donald.

“What?!” Donald asked shocked, “...My...” Then, he faints.

Dani smiles big , happy she saved Toonia and brought honor to her family at last. Then she turns to Emperor Mickey and bows. “With all due respect, your Excellency,” Dani said, “I have been away from home long enough.” She deeply misses her family and home.

“So have us,” Blossom added as she and her sisters bow also.

“Then take this,” Mickey said taking out his pendant and putting it on Dani’s neck, “So your family will know what you have done for me. And this, “ he hands her the sword of Chase, “So the world will know what you have done for Toonia.” Dani takes the gifts and happily hugs Emperor Mickey. Mickey was shocked but he smiles as the PowerPuffs hug him also.

“Is she allowed to do that?” Numbuh 4 asked. The boys just shrug with a smile.

Dani and the girls walk away from Emperor Mickey and is embraced by SpongeBob, Patrick, and the KND comrades. Eduardo comes up and lifts all nine of them off the ground in a big bear hug. Eduardo lets them all back to the ground again.

Buttercup smiles and stops to see Timmy, who is in armor now. “So you’re really leaving,” Timmy spoke.

“Yeah,” Buttercup said.

“Well, to let you know,” Timmy said, “I think you're cute and hey, I like Kissy Goo-Goo and Skull Squisher.”

Buttercup gasped in shock. “How did you know that?” Buttercup wondered and daggers at Bubbles and Blossom who chuckle nervously. Buttercup and Timmy lean to each other and look at their eyes.

Suddenly, Buttercup slugs Timmy on the shoulder and slaps him. “Yeow!” Timmy moaned in pain. “What did you do that for?”

“That’s for being a bad kisser!” Buttercup snapped remember the kiss that Timmy gave her. Timmy winces but Buttercup grabs him by the shirtr. “Here’s a really good kiss,” Buttercup smiled and kisses Timmy on the lips. Timmy was happy and they continue kissing and hugging.

“Aw…Buttercup and Timmy in love,” Dani smiled.

“Yay!” Bubbles cheered.

“Yeah,” Blossom said, “Our sister is growing up also.

Dani passes the new couple and walks toward Jimmy and stops in front of him. As Jimmy begins to speak Dani starts to smile anticipating something good “Um... You... “ Jimmy was saying, “You fight good.”

Dani’s smile turns into disappointment. “Oh, thank you,” Dani said. She walks toward Spirit. Jimmy turns toward Dani and grunts with disappointment in himself.

He turns to Timmy who stops kissing Buttercup. “Bye…” Timmy said as he and Buttercup tightly let go of hands.

Dani, Buttercup, and her friends mount on Spirit. “Spirit, let's go home,” she said. Spirit whinnies and jumps down the steps and gallops on the flat parts of the stair case back down to ground level. The crowd cheers all the while.

Emperor Mickey approaches Jimmy and clears his throat. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.”

“Sir?” Jimmy asked dumbfounded.

“And you call yourself a boy genius,” Timmy said walking to Mickey and Jimmy. “The mouse dude is right,” Timmy said, “You love her do you?”

“Uh…” Jimmy was about to say.

“You don't meet a girl like that ev'ry dynasty,” Mickey spoke to him. He puts back his hat and leaves with Jimmy thinking about Dani.

Weeks have passed. In Dani’s home, Dan is sitting beneath the blossom tree. A blossom falls and lands on his leg and he sighs sadly. Dani appears at the threshold and moves toward her father. Dan sees her approaching and starts to stand. “Danielle,” he spoke.

The PowerPuffs were watching and decide to stand back and let Dani and Dan talk. Dani quickly moves in front of her father and kneels causing him to sit back down. “Dad, I brought you the sword of Chase Young,” she said handing the sword to Dan, “Snd the crest of the Emperor Mickey,” Dani said also handing the crest to him.

“They're gifts,” Bubbles answered.

“To honor the Fenton Family,” Blossom said.

Dan takes the gifts and throws them down to the ground beside him to the surprise of Dani. He bends down and holds her arms outstretched. “The greatest gift and honor, is having you for a daughter,” Dan said smiling. He wipes away Dani's tear then hugs Dani, “I've missed you so.”

“I've missed you too Daddy,” Dani said hugging him. The Girls were happy for this, proud of Dani that she brought honor to her dad. Still, Buttercup was a bit depressed.

Then, Jenny and Nora watch from the doorway. “Ahhhh,” she said sighing.

“Great, she brings home a sword,” Nora said sarcastically, “If you ask me she should have brought home a ma…” But she leaves her mouth open when she sees two people…Jimmy and Timmy!

“Excuse me, does Dani Fenton live here?” Jimmy asked.

“Is Buttercup here also?” Timmy asked.

Nora's mouth stays open as she and Jenny point toward Dani's position. “Thank you,” Jimmy said. The boys walk toward Dani, Dan, and the PowerPuffs.

“Woo,” Nora said to see the boys who seem cute to her, “Sign me up for the next war!”

Jimmy approaches seeing Dan. “Honorable Danny Phantom, I…” Jimmy was saying but sees Dani, “Danielle…” Dani steps up and smiles.

“Timmy!” Buttercup smiled to see him again.

“My girl!” Timmy smiled. Buttercup comes in and hugs Timmy. Timmy gags at this since Buttercup was so happy that she’s hugging him with super strength. “Choking! Not breathing!”

Jimmy was a bit silent to sees Dani as Blossom and Bubbles giggled. Jimmy speaks insecurely. “Uh...Uh...You forgot your helmet. Ah but well, actually it's your helmet, isn't it?...” He hands the helmet toward Dan, “I mean...”

Dan motions with his head for Dani to take over. Dani holds the helmet Jimmy offers. Dani kisses Jimmy on the lips, which shocks Jimmy, but made him happy. They stop as Jimmy blushes. “Would you like to stay for dinner?” Dani asked.

“Would you like to stay forever?” Nora called up. Jimmy and Dani look back at her. Dani shakes her head with a smile at her grandma’s statement.

“Dinner would be great,” Jimmy said smiling. He and Dani hold hands, staring at each others eyes romantically.

Unknown to them, Genni was grinning happily looking at the scene with Jimmy and Dani through the temple window. He watches Dani hand the helmet back to Dan. Veemon, Guilmon, and Agumon climb up to the window sill by Gennai. “C'mon, who did a good job? C'mon, tell me who did a good job,” Veemon said.

“She got the Digivice,” Guilmon mentions.

“And we digivolved to help,” Agumon said.

“Oh, all right,” Gennai said unwillingly, “You three can be guardians again.”

“YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!” the Digimon cheered. They runs to their new posts in the temple.

“Mudkip!” Mudshot and Mudslap bang the gong awakening all the ancestors.

“Take it guys!” Veemon cheered.

“Mudkip!” Mudshot replied. He had sunglasses on as he plays the drums in a beatbox beat. Mudslap was on keyboard and Guilmon and Agumon appear in black leather jackets and sunglasses, playing guitar. Veemon appears and puts on sunglasses, playing the saxophone.

Everyone cheers and dances and parties. Rika does a dance from Pulp Fiction while Jack does the Hand Jive. “She get's it from my side of the family,” Jack mentions to his wife. Rai smiles and uses his head like a volleyball or party balloons.

“Call out for egg rolls!” Veemon smiles and swings by.

Gennai groans at this. “Guardians.”

Veemon hits Agumon and Guilmon and they land on the steps outside the temple. Dani walks up to him and rests besides him on the steps. “Thanks, Veemon, Agumon, and Guilmon,” Dani said and kisses them on the foreheads. The Digimon blush at this.

Then, Stitch runs up the steps and into the temple with the bag of grain tied to him. The chickens follow him in.

“Veemon! Agumon! Guilmon!” Gennai shouted annoyed. The Digimon paid no attention to him. They were proud for Dani. Dani saved all of Toonia and has a new friend, probably a boyfriend. She brought honor to her family and becomes one of the greatest heroes in Toonia.
