Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who or anything to do with it, it belongs to the BBC.

Note: This story was inspired by various Nightwish songs and the Wiccan religion, I find it extremely interesting. Also, I decided to remake this story because I didn’t like the original idea.

The Kinslayer

Chapter One

The Sorcerer

Ami Smith’s Residence

The stars came out to do their usual dance about the black sky.

The Sorcerer laid his back against the wall of his girlfriend’s home. He wrapped one arm around his belly; the other was raised in front of him. He studied his crimson glowing hand, moving it around his circular motions from left to right. There were still some things he’s not sure about yet, answers he wished he understood. His father had been teaching him many wondrous things when he was a child. The rest was treated like a big secret.

His father taught him how to use white magic and that they were not to be for his own pleasures. He kept his father’s promise before he died. He swore to him and to himself that his magic was to be used for the good of man-kind. The thought made him hold onto his silver pentagram dangling from around his neck. It’s something that his mother had given him for his 100th birthday.

The Sorcerer closed his bi-coloured eyes tight at the grotesque thought of his father and mother being murmured in front of him. He secretly made a vow to take revenge on the one who done it... even if it meant killing them. Nevertheless, the Sorcerer had morals, unlike the slaughterer. Therefore, he spends most of his time thinking about the tragic event instead of doing something about it.

The Sorcerer got rid of his glowing hand with a quick shake and then running his fingers through a mass of curly auburn hair. He had been waiting for his human girlfriend to get dressed and then they’re off again. By the time she came out, the Sorcerer had a teleportation cube made within seconds. Ami Smith had been irritated with him and he couldn’t blame her for being so, but what that man had said to him was impertinent.

“That’s the last time I’m ever inviting guests around my house when you’re there.” She said angrily, not looking up at him. “Have you any idea how deeply embarrassed I was?”

“What your friend’s husband had said to me was inexcusable and highly offence towards Enchant-Lords.” He said with a stern expression. “He would have been hanged for that in some planets.”

“Josh was only joking with you.”

“Joke or no joke, he would have been done for.” He continued.

“He didn’t mean to accuse you of doing Hex.” She explained. The Sorcerer shot her a deadly glare.

“Just because he and his wife are Christians, that doesn’t give him an excuse to insult those who are Wiccans or Pagans, or whatever you humans call the witchery people.” He growled.

Ami shook her head. “Look, it’s not exactly easy to lie and say that my boyfriend’s a Wiccan and that he leaves a lot of his witchcraft materials around the place. I mean, have you seen the way you left my living room? Candle wax gets everywhere; your magic herbs gave Ashe quite a scare for one. She thought it was a bag of weed.” She raised an eyebrow.

“I’ll be careful with the candles this time, I promise. Besides, magic herbs are very sacred on my planet.” The Sorcerer looked down at her with both arms crossed over his chest, his emerald and sapphire eyes twinkled. “But, if it’s what I think you’re thinking, I’ll be more than welcome to move out. Without any questions asked.” He spoke gently. He couldn’t be angry with her, even if he tried.

The soft sparkle in his eyes made her feel guilty. She didn’t want him to leave her, no matter where they were. The Sorcerer meant everything to her and she’d die if anything bad had ever happened to him.

She bit the bottom of her lip and shook her head a little. Ami licked her lips. “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to burst out like that. It’s just so difficult to try and hide the real truth from the world. Lying to your best friends just makes it worse.”

“I understand.” He smiled, placed both hands on each side of her face and then planting a kiss on her forehead. “I’m deeply appreciating everything that you’re doing for me, Ami. You’re allowing me to live in your home, practice magic in the living room.”

And then blowing up countless objects that belonged to your family from many generations.” Ami imitated his voice. “I wish you didn’t keep doing that, some of that stuff is very rare.”

“Sorry.” He apologized innocently, as if he were a child that’s just being caught nicking a cookie from the jar. “I can’t help it if my powers get a bit out of control.”

“You’re still struggling, aren’t you?”

He lulled his head forward. “I thought I had it,” He whispered. “I could have sworn I felt something happen.” He shook. “Guess I’m not strong enough yet.”

Ami placed a hand on his upper arm, she raised her eyebrow. “Didn’t you once tell me that your father said you have an extraordinary ability unlike anybody else in the universe?”

The Sorcerer shrugged helplessly. “I don’t know if I have it or not,” He moaned. “I’ve tried hard to gain as much ability as I could, nothing’s changed so far.”

Ami stood on her tip toes, her chest crushing against his as she gave him a quick kiss. She smiled sweetly. “You’ll get there.”

The Sorcerer gave her a half smile. “Let’s hope so.” He bent forwards and kissed his Ami in return, wrapping his arms around her thin waist and pulling her up close. She felt his hearts beat tenderly. His hearts were her favourite sound in the whole universe. He broke away from the kiss. “Let’s go, my dear.” He murmured. Ami nodded happily.

The Sorcerer held onto her hand and led the way from the house and out into secret area. From behind the bushes, Ashe had been spying on Ami and her Wiccan boyfriend. She felt like leaping out from the darkness and warning Ami the dangers of the man she’s dating. Well, she considers their relationship to be, somewhat, deeper than just simply girlfriend and boyfriend. Ashe found it disgusting.
