BELONGING

I’ll be so alone without you; maybe you’ll be lonesome too’

My hands were shaking, and tears streamed down my face. I thought of his silk touch, and how the fire in my heart burned for him.

I yearned for him to be here, I was desperate to fell his warm breath, dancing across my neck, making my body shiver with delight.

I wiped my eyes, and peered back to the stadium floor. Shadows of people were visible in the starry night sky, surrounding a small group of huddled figures. Staring closer, I gazed at the lifeless body on the ground. I wouldn't believe. I couldn't.

I sat back down on my seat, breathing slowly. Selfishly I thought "Please let it be someone else, let it be one of the others", despising myself for it.

Thoughts of our first encounter lingered on my mind, enclosing every rational thought I might have had left.

A hand come from behind me, slowly entwining in my own, causing me to jump. I was about to give this guy a piece of my mind, when a small, breathless voice spoke into my right ear.

"Meet me tonight. 11 o'clock, on the stone steps"

The tones resonated in my ear, making me anxious to know the mystery man. My breath caught in my chest, while my heart created sea like ripples as it back flipped.

As he pulled away, I felt a something drop into my hand. Looking down, I spotted a tiny gold and black badge in my hot grasp. My mind reeled with the possibilities, frantic for it to be him, the one I hoped for.

My memory skipped ahead from that blessed moment, changing the scene playing before my inner eye. The memory of his kiss, his touch, nearly killed me.

He was so soft, gentle, his velvet lips brushing tantalisingly on my own, making me ravenous for more. I let my hands wander across his built torso, untucking the rest of his shirt. I slowly undid the buttons, a sense of hunger churning deep within me. I gasped as a saw his rippling abdominals, his toned biceps, while his lightly tanned skin enticed me. He allowed my hands travel his naked chest, feeling every curve, exposing their hidden secrets to me. I remember his sexy grin, as he dared to take things further, swiftly, yet subtly removing my jumper, undoing the buttons to my shirt with skilful mastery. His hands travelled y under my shirt, exploring my back. He was warm, gentle, his hands were supple, and it felt like satin my tailing my body. His playful skill mocked me. I was the prey, and he was the predator. He explored my body further, taking off my shirt completely, leaving me wearing nothing but my bra to cover myself. He traced around my stomach with his finger, in silent awe. I felt exposed, yet I felt safe. I knew he would never hurt me. His hands smoothly moved upwards, touching the maroon cotton of my bra. He gasped, blushing, and looked away from me. I melted with his innocence, and how he treated me like a porcelain doll. I looked into his eyes, and kissed him. He engulfed me in his full embrace; passionately kissing me like there was no tomorrow. I was helpless, lost in his gaze, forever trapped in the ocean of his eyes, and his godlike body.

Tears connected with my smile, as a remembered back to a stormy day in winter, and how a solid gust of wind blew me away.

I had just left my seat, ready to head back inside. As fast as I had stood up, I was on the ground once more, pinned with my arms above my head, an appealing man sitting across my chest. Once again that sexy, seducers grin toyed with me, being but centimetres from my nose.

Slowly, he lifted a little from me, sitting up across my stomach, while wrapping his gold and black stripped scarf around my bare neck. With one quick move, he pulled to my feet, wrapping me in his warm embrace, making me stare up into his grey-blue eyes.

As long as you are mine, and I am yours, never take this off.”

His breath tickled my forehead, and I nuzzled my head into the nook under his chin, wistfully believing this is how we would always be.

Snapping back to reality, I clutched the damp scarf around my neck, holding it tightly to my bosom.

Deep down in my heart, I knew he was gone. I knew we would no longer connect in this life time. Never again would I feel his gentle breath along my body. Never again would I stare into those oceanic eyes, and be in awe of that chiselled face.

I vowed I would never take this scarf off. I was his, and I always will be his, as he will always be mine. My one and only - my darling.

My sweet, Cedric.

But just remember when a dream appears, you belong to me’
