XX: The Beastmaster

Before he became a Nobody, Vexen loved to experiment with gene splicing (it was more of a hobby, really…). Most of his experiments ultimately blew up on their own accord, but two or three them survived.

One of these experiments was a luckless girl named Hannah. She came to the scientist by way of space pirates. The pirates captured her while she was in a certain (seedy) port, running a certain (seedy) errand for her mother. They sold her Even, who promptly began to turn her into a monster. After months of painful experiments, she became a beast with large black wings, a wolf's muzzle, and dragon claws (there was some llama in there, too, but it just made her legs hairy.). Her mind, however, was untouched.

The scientist eventually forgot her, having more 'important' matters to attend to (i.e. being dead). Hannah was left alone for months on end, with minimal food and drink, but her stubborn heart would not let her die. Eventually, the Heartless found her. The girl was much too weak to fight back, so she finally accepted what she thought was the sweet embrace of death.

And so, Xemnas acquired another beuterused minion to add to his collection.
