I Wish

Another one-shot that popped into my head this morning during science.

Disclaimer-Don't own Harry Potter, only own Abby.

"It's been a long time". Abby murmured.

"Yes it has". Lupin replied, staring at his former student.

"It's been what"? She paused and thought for a second. "Three years"?

"Three years, two months, and eight days". Lupin said nodding.

"Everyone's finally stopped celebrating". The annoyance in Abby's voice was clear as she rolled her eyes. "An entire week dedicated to me and Harry…..bloody ridiculous". Lupin laughed.

"Why shouldn't people celebrate"? He asked. "What you and Harry did was wonderful". He patted her shoulder and Abby jumped, she looked down at his hand and she stared at it before putting hers on top of it.

"If you hadn't already noticed". Abby said grinning. "I had the baby, a beautiful baby boy—we named him Alex Remus Weasley, do you like it"? Her head turned towards him and for a second Lupin would have sworn she'd seen him.

"I love it". He whispered, Abby's grin widened.

"I thought you would". She replied. Lupin's thumb rubbed circles on her shoulder and Abby looked down at his hand once more.

"Ginny's pregnant, I don't know if Hermione is ever going to get pregnant". Abby said quietly. "But Teddy is doing great, he's with Harry right now at a fair in London". Abby sighed and looked down at her lap. "You know how you said that he'd always be ashamed of you because of what you are"?

Lupin nodded.

"Well, I think he couldn't be more proud". She said grinning. "He's really smart for his age and I think he understands that it wasn't your fault that you were what you were and you'll be happy to know he has no werewolf traits that I can see".

"That's great". Lupin said smiling.

"Well, I think Alex is half vampire". Abby said smiling. "His eyes are a deep purple, George was so happy when he opened his eyes". Abby laughed softly. "He can't fly, luckily but don't worry, George will be tossing him up in the air and hoping he'll fly soon". Lupin chuckled.

"How is Sirius and my mum"? Abby asked.

"They're good, David isn't too happy about them together but Marcy doesn't care, neither does Sirius". Lupin said.

"My dad is an idiot". Abby muttered bitterly.

"Too right you are". Lupin said, Abby grinned.

"Professor". She said suddenly. "Do you miss us"?

"Everyday". Lupin said. "But I'm happier now than I've ever been, do you miss me"?

"Of course I miss you, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you, Tonks, my mums, my dad and Sirius". They were quiet for nearly twenty minutes when Lupin suddenly spoke.

"It's getting late". He said. "You should get home".

"Yea I know, the house is going to be in shambles when I get back, I let Fred and George baby sit, my poor baby". Lupin laughed once more and Abby stood. She conjured a white rose that had a few black petals and placed it at his feet, she smiled and kissed the tips of her finger before placing them over Lupin's carved in stone name.

"I wish I could talk to you Professor". Abby said staring at the grey headstone.

"I wish you could hear me Abby". Lupin said quietly, Abby turned back around and she seemed to stare right into Lupin's eyes.

When she reached the kissing gate at the front of the cemetery Abby glanced once more back at Lupin's grave, Lupin winked and a huge grin split over Abby's face.

"I think she can see us". Tonks said interlacing her fingers in her husbands.

"So do I". Lupin said softly watching as Abby glanced around to make sure no one was looking before soaring up into the air and out of sight.

"So do I".

I know it's very short but I like it and I was very sad that Lupin and Tonks died.

The little purple button is calling,

It's saying—

PUSH ME!
