Author’s Note: VERY SLASHY!!! Gotta love Jason x Troy. Lol. Anyway…

Summary: Both of em are in college, and both of em go to Dartmouth, and it’s Christmas break. Jason’s coming back from babysitting and isn’t really in a good mood. Until someone goes and cheers him up. R&R please. Thanks! PEACE!

Jason scowled silently to himself as he trudged through the knee-deep snow, heading back to his house. It had been a long day, babysitting his baby cousins, who seemed to be multiplying constantly. Jason distinctly remembered there being 3 at the beginning, yet how had there been 8 when he left?

The basketball jock shook the thoughts from his head, turning that anger outwards, steeling his body against the biting cold and continuing on. Jason visualized his boyfriend, his beautiful blond hair and electric blue eyes that sparkled mischievously, and his wonderfully enrapturing smile that graced his delicious mouth every so often.

Jason sighed in content, and then remembered what his malicious boyfriend could do. He had forced Jason to cut his hair, and Jason personally didn’t like it. It was the same look as when he had been a junior in East High. That was 4 years ago. Jason was a sophomore in college now. Then Jason remembered what his oh-so-loving boyfriend had done in return… Jason had convinced him to dye his hair to a golden blond, and as far as the basketball star was concerned, it made him look even hotter than he already was.

Jason spotted his house and began walking with a renewed vigor, forgetting about the cold, his mind deeply set onto the fire that was probably roaring in the fireplace, and his lover waiting for him to get back home. ‘Just a little while left!’ Jason’s mind screamed as he reached the end of the driveway. The snow seemed to part before his legs, but more of the crystal snowflakes were falling from the sky to replace it. Jason saw through the large window on the front of his house that there was, in fact, a fire in the fireplace, and he trudged as fast as he could to the front door, bursting it open.

“Troy! I’m home!” Jason yelled out through the air, the sound echoing through the halls and the entire house. He pulled off his gloves, coat, boots, and snow pants, and a wide smile stretched over his features. The other basketball star, Jason’s boyfriend, Troy, walked out from the kitchen and strode over to Jason, wrapping him into a warm embrace that fought away the small remnants of cold that coursed through his body.

“So how were your cousins?” Troy breathed into Jason’s ear, smiling as the other boy shivered, not with cold, but with pure ecstasy. Jason was about to reply when Troy put a finger to his lips, suddenly very solemn, “you must be extremely cold, come on,” Troy’s voice was normal and deep now, instead of the previously quiet whisper. Jason loved both equally, and gladly followed Troy into the living room where he sat down on the carpet in front of the blazing flame, Troy wrapping a blanket around him and then striding back into their kitchen. Jason inwardly moaned in despair as he departed, but then he just sunk into the warmth of the thick blanket and the large flame in front of him, watching it crackle enthusiastically. It was good to be back home, back with Troy…

Troy. He was practically a god incarnate on the Earth, so nice, and strong, and loving, everything that Jason had ever, and would ever, need, Troy had. Jason felt so small beside him though, as though he meant absolutely nothing beside the shining image of his boyfriend. Troy had assured Jason that they were equals, and he had been getting better during their one-on-one matches, and Troy had even shared some of his relished secrets on hair gel, face cream, weight-lifting, etc. Yet Jason still felt demeaned.

Troy walked out quietly, holding two cups of hot chocolate, and immediately recognized the familiar contemplative look on his boyfriend’s face. “You know, you really shouldn’t feel so bad about dating me, it’s starting to become insulting,” Troy remarked offhandedly, setting the hot chocolate onto the coffee table behind them and watching Jason with a concerned look.

The dark-haired boy shook off the gaze and turned, reaching for one of the cups of hot chocolate. Troy’s hand intercepted his, tangling their fingers together and pulling Jason’s eyes to Troy’s now even ones. “I love you, and that is all that matters,” Troy whispered and Jason let a small, sad, contented smile twitch the sides of his mouth. Troy always knew the right thing to say. Troy squeezed Jason’s hand once, knowing that he had said the right thing and he scooted behind Jason so that his chin rested on the other boy’s shoulder and his arms were wrapped around Jason’s waist.

“Anything interesting happen while I was gone?” Jason inquired; a single hand resting on Troy’s clasped ones, the other reaching for a cup of the steaming hot chocolate. Troy chuckled quietly in Jason’s ear.

“Gabi called. She’s pregnant again. She also says hi to you. So does Ryan. She also said that if it was another boy that she’d name it Jason,” Troy whispered into Jason’s ear, and then he nuzzled his nose into the crook of the other boy’s neck. Jason smiled. Gabi already had a boy and twin girls, Troy, Taylor, and Kelsi. “But what about you? How was babysitting?” Troy inquired, causing Jason to groan, and then choke on the hot chocolate that was pouring down his throat at the time.

Jason was sputtering, and Troy had collapsed into a fit of absolute hysterics behind him, and when Jason regained his composure, he set an angry glare on his mischievous boyfriend. Troy’s laughing subsided, and he apologized to Jason, who reluctantly allowed him to resume his previous position. “Well, it started with me babysitting Jamie, Lizzie, and Nate, piece of cake, right? Two ten year olds and a seven year old. Not really,” Jason said, beginning his speech about his experience, the words falling on Troy’s waiting ears. “Then Phil appeared from nowhere, and right behind him was his twin Mark. I was surprised, naturally, but I shook it off. That’s when the triplets came, and you’d think that three 14 year olds would be a lot more responsible,” Jason continued, Troy listening intently. Troy always listened. “They must have smoked too much shit before that though, because Jack and Richie were half-naked, running through the house, and don’t even get me started on Bridget,” Jason wrapped up, sipping his hot chocolate, happy that the horrible experience was over. Troy let out another quiet chuckle and tightened his grip around Jason’s waist.

“Aren’t you glad we’re on Christmas break? And to think, we have to go back to Dartmouth next week,” Troy breathed onto the side of Jason’s face, bringing a smile to the other boy’s mouth. “Oh well, we still have 12 days left, and you’re all mine now,” Troy whispered mischievously, and Jason put his hot chocolate down, leaning backwards into the embrace and smiling contentedly.

“When I hear my favorite song,” Jason sang quietly as he stared out the window into the falling snow.

“I know that we belong,” Troy reiterated quietly into Jason’s ear, one of those beautiful small smiles gracing his lips. This was one of their favorite memories from high school, Lava Springs. That was where they had first realized their true feelings.

“Ohh, you are the music in me,” both boys sang softly, watching out the window as the snowflakes feel idly.

“I love you Jason,” Troy whispered into the dark-haired boy’s ear.

“I love you too Troy,” Jason breathed back, eyelids drooping.

And with that, the two boys fell asleep in each other’s arms happily, blanket and fire keeping them warm against the frosty exterior of winter.

Christmas break had just begun.
