Well, here is a short one-shot that I thought I’d write to counteract the rather strange pairing in my other story. so here comes some Reed/Sue fluff for you! (And some siblingness I just couldn’t resist:p)
A/N: I know the song used was not around when mentioned, but let’s just pretend it was.
Disclaimer: I don’t own anything you recognise. Including the song, “Head over Heels” this belongs to Switchfoot, who are awesomely awesome!
Head over Heels.
Sue Storm glared at her soon to be husband and folded her arms across her chest to emphasise her glare, “Reed?”
Reed Richards looked up from his work in the lab and smiled at the brooding Sue, “yes honey?”
Sue put more iciness in the stare, “What, may I ask, are you doing?”
Reed blinked, “Ahh, saving the world?”
Sue rolled her eyes at her fiancé and looked at the mess that covered the work bench that he was working at, “Really? How so?”
Reed flinched at Sue’s tone, “Um, well, an old army buddy asked me to look at some data and um….” He blushed under Sue’s glare.
“And the wedding that we have to organise?”
“I thought you were doing that….” Reed sighed as he watched Sue go from annoyed to angry, “Sue, wait, no, I’m sorry I…”
“I can’t believe you would even think like that Reed,” she huffed, turning away to leave the lab, “I’ll do it myself, but don’t complain about ANYTHING!”
Sue stormed out of the lab, nearly running into her brother in the process, she glared at Johnny as well before side stepping him and slamming the glass door of the lab behind her.
“Okay Richards, what have you done now?” Johnny asked with a grin, walking up to the scientist.
Reed blinked, “I told her, um, the weeding, that she…should…organise…it…”
Johnny gave Reed a look as if to say ‘you’re kidding right’, “Seriously? You are the most stupid genius I know.”
Reed resisted telling Johnny that he was the only genius he knew, instead he commented, “go on.”
“You’re really going to have to do something special to get you out of this one, believe me, that look that she had, not an easy one to recover from,” Johnny grinned, “I should know.”
Reed sighed, “What would you suggest?”
Johnny grinned, even though she would never admit it, Johnny knew that he knew his sister more than anyone else and therefore knew just the thing to make this right.
“Come with me,” Johnny told Reed and without waiting for an answer, walked out of the lab.
Reed followed quickly, rushing after the retreating Johnny calling, “Come with you and do what?”

“Are you sure about this?” Reed asked Johnny, waving a c.d in the air, “it doesn’t seem like something she would listen to.”
Johnny rolled his eyes at his soon to be brother in law, “who had to listen to her sing to it day after day?”
“Really? Sue sang to this?”
“Loudly and badly.” Johnny said with a grin, “trust me it will work, “he patted Reed on the shoulder, “you go get everything ready, I’ll do get Sue.”
Reed nodded, he went to leave but turned at the last moment and said with a smile, “thanks Johnny.”
Johnny shrugged, “just don’t let it happen again!” He called out before going to look for Sue.

Johnny found Sue in her room, magazines and sheets of paper surrounded her, as well as samples of fabric, flowers and food.
Johnny couldn’t help but grin as Sue was mumbling to herself, probably about Reed, “Sue?” he asked, walking into the room, “Should you be doing this yourself?”
Sue glared at him, “No one else is going to do it,” she told him, sighing she looked up at him as if expecting something, “did you just come here to stare at me?’
“Oh, yeah,” Johnny laughed, “Reed want’s to see you,” Sue scowled, “It seems important.”
Sue sighed, “fine,” she muttered, she got off the bed she was sitting on and went to go to the lab until Johnny called out,
“He’s not in the lab Sue, he said something about the roof.”
Sue blinked, she gave Johnny a strange look before making her way up to the roof.

“Johnny said you wanted to see...me...” Sue’s mouth dropped open at the sight that greeted her on the roof. It was covered in sunflowers, their bright yellow petals, shinning in the moon and starlight, the clear sky gave the roof a faint silver glow, as it was bathed in light.
“Oh Reed,” Sue whispered, spotting him standing by a table, set for two with a beautiful silver tablecloths, silver candles, and a bottle of champagne, “this is...this is...so...” Sue words were lost in the beauty of it all, she couldn’t believe Reed had done this for her, “I can’t believe that you would...”
Reed shock his head, “You deserve this Sue,” he motioned for her to come over and sit at the table, “you’ve been working so hard and I haven’t even noticed, I haven’t even done anything to help...” he paused, “I love you Sue, but I don’t think I’ve shown it in the last few days.”

After a nice, romantic, dinner, with much talk of their relationship and planning of the wedding, Reed had yet, another surprise for Sue.
Sue had her eyes closed, leaning back in the chair, savouring the moment when her eyes snapped open at the hearing of a song that Reed had put on, “How, how did you know I...?”
Reed smiled, he held out his hand to Sue for a dance and told her in a whisper, “I have a good informant.”
Head
over here and take me
Head over heels and aching
When I told
you I was yours,
I was yours
In this life you're the one
place I call home
In this life you're the feeling I belong
In
this life you're the flower and the thorn
You're everything that's
fair in love and war
I'm coming down like a gun shot
In all
these battles that I've fought
You're the mark I'm aiming for
I
was yours
In this life you're the one place I call home
In
this life you're the feeling I belong
In this life you're the
flower and the thorn
You're everything that's fair in love and
war
In love and war
Head over heels
Head over heels
In
this life I'm stubborn to the core
In this life I've been burning
after more
We both know what these open arms are for
You're
everything that's fair
In this life you're my only one
In
this life you're my only one
In this life you're my only one
In
this life you're my only one
In this life you're the one place
I call home
In this life you're the feeling I belong
In this
life you're the flower and the thorn
You're everything that's fair
in love and war
After they had danced to the song, they stayed in each other arms, staring out into the star lit sky, enjoying each others presence.
“You know what made this night so special?” Sue asked Reed in a whisper.
“No, what?” Reed asked, running a hand through her hair.
“You told me you love me.” Sue whispered, her eyes brimming with tears, she turned to look up at him, “you haven’t done that in a long time.” She tip-toed up to kiss him softly on the lips, “thank you.”
Reed smiled, “no, thank you,” he mumbled, as she buried her head in his chest, “thank you for loving me.”
Although, Reed had someone else to think, and his voice was floating in his head as he swayed Sue back and forth as the song started to play again.
“Just make sure you tell her that you love her, she hasn’t heard it in awhile.”
‘You’re my everything Sue,” Reed whispered, “You’re my home.”
In
this life you're the one place I call home
In this life you're the
feeling I belong
In this life you're the flower and the
thorn
You're everything that's fair in love and war
