A.N/// OK! People this new story will be a bit different then my usual standard. It’ll take place in Konoha of course, duh. Any way. It takes place in a sort of time skip ok. So every one’s older. For example: Sasuke is fifteen. Naruto is fifteen, Sakura is fourteen, and she’s also a member of the Akatsuki. And Itachi’s at least twenty-three…Wow he’s getting old. And I like to confuse some people so there will be twists in this story. Read and review!

Disclaimer:

I Sharingan-Youkai do not unfortunately own Naruto or any other Anime that might be thrown in. But I am proud to admit that I do own one Character and her pack. You will find out what I mean later.

Chapter 1: Enter: The Silver Dawn

Today was a day like any other, Mothers were seeing their children off to the Academy, Shop owners were opening their shops and Ninja’s went off on their missions. Yes, today was a normal day. Well, normal enough anyway.

“Ahh! Kakashi sensei can we go back now?” asked Naruto for the fifth time in ten minutes.

“No Naruto…” said Kakashi as he turned a page in his orange book. They had been walking for hours. They were supposed to travel around the forest of Leaf village to confirm an odd report from a younger team. They had reported a large wolf pack was in the area. But the thing that makes it odd was that there hadn’t been any wolves near Leaf Village in decades. (Not really but it’s my story) Sasuke rolled his eyes at his teammates lack of patients. He was so annoying.

Kakashi sat down next to Sasuke with a sigh.

“Well guys, looks like we can head back in the morning. I think it’s safe to say there aren’t any wolves here.” Said Kakashi pulling out his book again. Sasuke sighed in annoyance at his sensei’s lack of profession. He reads that damm book everywhere! It’s unprofessional! Especially for the great Copy Ninja. Buy hey; he had nothing on the Toad Sannin and his ‘research’. A twig snap suddenly caught his attention. He put down his book and stood; staring in the direction he heard it. Sasuke noticed this and also stood.

“Sensei?” he held a finger to his lips to silence him. He pulled out a kunai and approached the source of the sound. He looked back at Sasuke who was just a few feet behind him, also holding a kunai. Naruto on the other hand was to busy eating his ramen to notice anything. Kakashi put a hand on one of the branches, ready to move it. And with a quick yank he pulled the branch revealing, a weasel. No people not Itachi, a normal weasel. Kakashi let out his breath as Sasuke smirked. “Keh, watch out sensei, the weasels are out to get you.” Kakashi glared at him as he turned back to the weasel that had scared the hell out of him. He was about to move back when he suddenly yelped. Sasuke span around just in time to see a large grey wolf jump out of the bush, fangs bared. Naruto who had finally noticed what was going on yelped and jumped aside as the wolf lunged at him. Sasuke pulled his kunai back out and charged the wolf. Only to be nocked aside as two more came out of know where.

“Fight them off!” yelled Kakashi as he pulled a wolf off Sasuke. Who had long claw shaped cuts down his arm. Naruto threw a kunai at the closest wolf, which just happened to be the biggest out of the three. The kunai made its mark deep in it’s side and with a yelp of pain the wolf ran off into the forest. Soon followed by its two companions. Kakashi lowered his own kunai and looked at Naruto, who looked like he’d seen a ghost. Kakashi looked around into the darkness with his sharingan to see if the wolves had retreated. They had. But now a much stronger Chakra source was approaching, quite fast too.

“Naruto, take Sasuke, I suggest you make a run for it, head back to the village as fast as you can…” They both looked confused.

“Sensei?” asked Naruto. “What is it?” Then Sasuke stood up.

“Don’t you sense that? Some ones coming…their Chakra levels are threw the roof!” Naruto blinked in shock.

“What! You gotta be kidding me! First the wolves and now a powerful Ninja?” Kakashi cleared his throat.

“Most likely a missing Nin, only a few Shinobi I’ve faced have this much Chakra…” At this Sasuke straightened.

“It has to be him!” He growled. Kakashi sighed.

“No Sasuke it isn’t him…His Chakra is different from this ones…Just go!” With a nod Naruto sped off back to the village. Sasuke however stayed put. Kakashi saw this. “Sasuke!” But before he could finish his sentence a howl echoed through the forest. A wolf’s howl. Kakashi turned around and blinked. Sasuke too was shocked. From the direction the wolves had run, a woman with hip length white hair stepped out of the shadows. Kakashi’s eyes widened…well eye. Sasuke had to blink. The woman’s eyes were bright yellow and cat-like. She wore a knee length skirt made from some kind of white fur, and a ‘V’ top with one long sleeve made from the same fur. And what looked like a white tail behind her. And at her sides sat two large white wolves. Obviously the two from before. The injured one was absent.

Kakashi blinked. Well, this was new. Sasuke slowly reached for his kunai pouch, but the wolf on the right growled. The woman stepped forward out of the shadows, revealing bare feet and a sword strapped to her side. But what made Sasuke and Kakashi look twice were her sharp white claws, since when did woman have claws? Both on her toes and fingers. Kakashi opened his mouth to speak, and to his surprise found his voice. “Who are you?” The woman blinked slowly as if she hadn’t heard the question, but she had.

“My name is Syleene.” (That’s pronounced Sai-lean as in Sai, and Lean.) Kakashi blinked.

“Ok, What do you want? Why are you here?” The woman now known as Syleene approached Kakashi until they were a foot apart.

“Which one of you human’s injuredLathen?” Sasuke blinked.

“You mean the wolf?” Syleene turned to him with a glare.

“Yes the wolf, Lathen is a member of my pack, and I will not stand by and let you human’s get away with it!” Sasuke flinched as she growled. Not like a person, more like an animal. Kakashi went for a kunai but was knocked off his feet as Syleene simply punched him. Sasuke went to jump to the side but was slammed into the ground by her foot. “I will ask only once!” With that said she pulled out her sword, pressing it onto his throat. Kakashi jumped to his feet, but dare not move.

“It was me!” He said quickly. Earning a shocked glance from Sasuke. But an angry glare from the woman.

“Lying will not make his death less painful.” She growled. Kakashi blinked in astonishment. How did she know he was lying? Sasuke was thinking fast, he had no idea what to do. She was that much more powerful then Kakashi it wasn’t funny. She pressed her blade harder on Sasuke’s neck, drawing a thin line of blood. Kakashi stood up straight.

“Let him go, if you want to punish some one then punish me!” (Man that sounded gross…) Syleene looked Kakashi in the eye. Her stare strong and determined. Kakashi thought for a moment. It was better him then Sasuke. Besides, he didn’t want the others to find out. Syleene removed her sword and lifted her foot. Sasuke rolled over and jumped up. “Sasuke, do as I said, go back to the village.” Sasuke was about to argue but Syleene’s sword pointed at him stopped that. He nodded and sped off. He would get help. Kakashi turned back to the woman before him. “Well, do your worst.” Syleene laughed.

“With pleasure!” Kakashi jumped as Syleene charged him sword ready, she was pissed. He pulled out his kunai and countered her sword, but she was faster then he expected. Kakashi cried out in pain as her sword cut through his shoulder, blood splattering everywhere. Syleene smirked, her fangs glinting in the moonlight. “It seems your finished.” Syleene’s eyes widened as he did something she wasn’t expecting. He grabbed the sword from his shoulder and pulled it.

“I don’t give up that easily!” With practised ease Kakashi performed several hand seals, bit his thumb and pulled out a scroll. He splashed some of his blood onto its surface and slammed it into the ground. “Kuchiyose: Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu!” several Ninken burst from under Syleene’s feet knocking her over, she jumped up only to scream in pain as the Ninken bit both her legs and arms, holding her in place.

(Think of when Kakashi and Zabuza fight, how Kakashi uses his Ninken to hold Zabuza in place. It’s pretty much the same thing.)

Kakashi was about to attack again but the two wolves attacked the two Ninken at Syleene’s feet. But before they could get them off Kakashi had already completed his seals. He didn’t want to do this but she was a demon so he had no choice as a Shinobi. “Raikiri!” Syleene watched as Kakashi charged her with his blade of lightning. She clawed at the Ninken on her arms but only succeeded to remove one. That was all she needed. She did some quick one-hand seal’s and vanished. Kakashi stumbled and lost concentration, loosing his Jutsu. “She must have used Kawarimi, but how did she know it? She wouldn’t have been to an Academy…she’s a demon.” He blinked as he heard laughter.

“Poor little human, just because I’m a demon doesn’t mean I can’t graduate from a Ninja Academy, it’s called an Alias! Just because I’m a demon doesn’t mean they have to know.” Kakashi frowned.

“The Jounin in charge would have sensed your inhuman Chakra!” Again Syleene laughed.

“They didn’t even bother to check, you human’s are so predictable! I went in broad sight in descise. Who would think to make sure every student is human or not!” Kakashi’s frown deepened.

“I’ve never heard of any one like you at the Leaf Academy…”

“Well I must have been there before you, there was only one student there who actually questioned me about my…strange Chakra. He was quite the Prodigy I heard. I was surprised he was so young, but he still found me out. Though the odd thing is he never said anything to his superiors. So mysterious he was, he graduated the same day I did…I haven’t seen him since, he’s probably dead by now, if not he’d be about…Twenty three I guess.” Kakashi’s eye widened.

“Who are you referring to pray tell?” Syleene jumped down from her hiding spot in a tree.

“His name was Itachi Uchiha.” Kakashi’s eyes narrowed.

“I thought so…I have heard of you, you went by a different name then…” Kakashi thought hard for a moment. But Syleene beat him to it.

“Does then name ‘Shevan Renen’ ring any bells?” Kakashi clenched his teeth.

“Yeah, I remember you. You were on his team… The supposed orphan from the Renen clan. But after I met you I did some digging, it turned out the Renen clan was whipped out a hundred years ago!” Syleene clapped her hands as if to congratulate him.

“Well done, well done in deed. And you know what, I might just spare your life. But if we cross paths again, I won’t be so merciful.” With that said she picked up her sword she had dropped and started to walk off. Kakashi’s Ninken disappeared as he fell to one knee; he had lost too much blood.

“What now then Syleene?” the said Youkai stopped.

“You tell me, should I cause some more trouble in your village or should I just ‘give in’? Knowing the Ninja in Leaf they won’t stop until I’m either safe behind bars or dead, but then again I could just have some fun and turn myself in, what then?” Kakashi stood slowly.

“To be honest, I don’t know? But you’re right about the Ninja, they will find you.” Syleene smirked back at Kakashi.

“Well then, maybe I should find out.” Kakashi looked up, shock written all over his face.

“Come again?” Syleene stroked one of her wolves on the back.

“I did learn everything I know from that village, demon or not I still have honour, besides, I miss that place.” Kakashi was at a loss for words.

“Wha?” Syleene rolled her eyes.

“I said I’m coming back with you.” Kakashi blinked several times.

“But, you attacked me! And you’re a demon, hello!” Syleene laughed again.

“Yeah but they don’t have to know that.” With that she kneeled down beside her two wolves. “You two head back to the others, stay clear of the village until I get back ok?” The two wolves nodded and ran off back into the forest. Kakashi looked as though he was going to argue but stopped as she made a few adjustments. She performed some hand seals and in a poof of smoke stood an older version of the Alias she used years ago at the Academy. She still had her white hair and yellow eyes, but her claws were gone as was her tail, she still wore her white fur shirt and skirt and still had bare feet. Kakashi blinked. Syleene pulled out a black ribbon from nowhere and tied her hair back. Several loose white strands curtaining her face. Kakashi blinked again.

“Ok then…but what about this little problem?” He said pointing to the wound on his shoulder. Syleene performed some more hand seals and pressed her hand onto his shoulder. She pulsed Chakra into it using a Medical Jutsu. Kakashi raised an eyebrow.

“It’s not perfect but it stopped the bleeding, it’ll leave a scar but that’s it.” Syleene dusted her hands off and started walking in the direction of the village. (A little straight forward I know but hey, it works doesn’t it?)

Kakashi looked bewildered for a moment, then frowned. “What am I doing?” With that he followed her back to the village, where he’d have to explain everything to his team as to why the woman that attacked them was in the village.

The next morning Kakashi and Syleene now referred to as Shevan again sat infront of the Hokage, Tsunade. Who looked confused. “So let me get this straight, your Shevan, the girl that graduated the Academy at age eight? The same orphan girl from the Renen clan?” (Obviously they haven’t checked into it…idiots) Syleene…wait Shevan nodded her head for the only Kami knows what time. Kakashi remained quiet. Though ‘Shevan’ was looking at the roof touching piles of paper work. It looked like a city made from paper! Tsunade flicked through her manila file and sighed. “Well where’ve you been? I haven’t seen you around since you graduated.” Shevan laughed nervously.

“I went home back to my village in Mist…” Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

“Then why come back now?” Shevan’s white brow twitched.

“Am I not allowed or something? What’s wrong with coming back? I’m not a Missing Nin or something.” Tsunade laughed.

“Of course not my dear, you are welcome here, I’m just doing my job is all…” Shevan smiled. “Well then it’s good to have you back Shevan. Now Kakashi if you please I wish to have a private word with her.” Kakashi hesitated for a moment then nodded. He stood and left the room, closing the door behind him. Leaving the two women alone to talk. Tsunade turned back to Shevan. “Now, on a more serious note…why didn’t you tell me you were a demon?” Shevan fell side ways off her chair.

“You new!” She squeaked. Tsunade nodded her head.

“I new from the first day I met you, sure the Hokage before me might’ve known, if he did he didn’t say anything. He must’ve seen something good in you.” Shevan blinked. “So, is Shevan your real name?”

“No…it’s not. My real name is Syleene. I’m the leader of the western wolf tribe.” Tsunade nodded slowly.

“Who else knows?”

“Kakashi does… I’m sure his team would’ve figured it out…” Tsunade folded her hands over her lap.

“Any one else?” Syleene hesitated for a moment.

“There is one other, but he’s not here.” Tsunade raised a delicate eyebrow.

“Are you willing to tell me his name?” Syleene smiled sadly.

“You will know him, but he’s no where near the village. He probably forgot about me any way.” Tsunade blinked.

“Alright, I’ll leave it be then. I see you still have your head band.” Syleene pointed to her headband, which was tied not to loosely around her neck, like a collar. Leaf’s symbol in its centre. “Ok then. You can stay, but be careful about your identity, your still Shevan Renen and we won’t have any one knowing other wise. Got it?” Shevan nodded quickly. “Good, I’ll put you with Kakashi and his team.” Again Shevan fell over side ways.

“WHAT! They know I’m a demon!” Tsunade laughed.

“I’ve told Kakashi to tell them about you, and that you’re not a demon. He said something about a false Kekki Genkki and such. So don’t worry.” Shevan nodded slowly.

“So anything in particular you want me to do?” Tsunade sat up straight.

“Well now that you mention it there is! There’s a boy on his team, Naruto Uzumaki. I want you to stick by him ok, keep an eye on him and make sure he stays safe. He’s had some bad run-ins with some not to friendly Criminals. I’ll tell Kakashi, you can tell Naruto. But what ever you do don’t say you’re his bodyguard. Just say your there to make sure he stays out of trouble ok.” Shevan nodded.

“What about shelter? Where can I stay?” Tsunade thought for a moment.

“Well, I can ask Sasuke to rent you a house in the Uchiha estate…But I’ve asked him once before and he said No…If that does happen… I’m sure Kakashi will think of something. If he says you can stay at his place nock him out! He can’t be trusted around pretty woman…He’s just like Jiriaya.” (Sp?) Shevan blinked several times, then nodded. “Ok then! You’re all done, Kakashi will be waiting outside and he’ll take you to meet his team. Now I can get back to my Sak-”

“TSUNADE-SAMA!!!” Tsunade jumped ten feet in the air as Shizune burst through the door. “You will not touch that Sake you hear me! You have paper work to do!” Tsunade pouted as Shizune grabbed her Sake and threw it out the window, hitting some poor random person on the head. Shevan backed out of the room slowly to avoid drawing Shizune’s rage. And with one last step she was out the front door. Where a poor unconscious Iruka lay sprawled over the ground with Sake all over him. Shevan found Kakashi leaning on the wall just by the entrance reading his little orange book.

“So, What did she say?” Shevan brushed some hair from her face and sighed.

“She said I could stay, and that I’d be watching out for Naruto…” Kakashi nodded.

“I had a hunch. Where will you stay?”

“She said she’d ask this Sasuke kid if I could rent a house in the Uchiha estate, if not then leave it up to you, wait, Sasuke? Where have I heard that name before?” Kakashi blinked. Then laughed shortly.

“The chances of Sasuke letting you stay in his estate are a thousand to one!”

Roughly two hours later…

“Are you sure?” Sasuke nodded his head. Tsunade was blinking incredulously. Kakashi was staring wide eyed at the raven haired Uchiha.

“As long as she keeps it in one piece I have no problem with it.” Shevan stuck her tongue out at Kakashi, who looked like he was about to faint.

“And that would be the one in a thousand...” He said as he scratched his head. Sasuke had said yes… Naruto leaned over and whispered into Shevan’s ear.

“He must be in a good mood or something.” Shevan shrugged. Tsunade finished writing down Shevan’s paper work and sighed.

“Well then Shevan you better thank Sasuke, It’s not like him to be so…” Sasuke glared.

“You don’t even want to finish that sentence.” Tsunade smirked.

“Ok then have it your way Mr 24/7 crank.” Naruto laughed under his breath as Sasuke glared at her. Kakashi rolled his eyes. Shevan looked at Sasuke and did a short bow.

“Thank you Sasuke.” Sasuke shrugged and walked out the door.

“What ever.” Naruto frowned.

“What a jerk.” Shevan ruffled his hair.

“Don’t worry Naruto, he won’t get away with it. We’ll see to that tomorrow at training.” Naruto snickered as he followed Shevan out the door. Leaving Kakashi with Tsunade.

“So, you actually trust her?” Tsunade nodded slowly.

“Yes I do.”

“So why did you place her with Naruto any way?” Tsunade stood and walked over to the window.

“Because, Naruto’s in danger. I received a report yesterday by one of our ANBU that Hoshigaki Kisame and Uchiha Itachi were spotted just outside the village. I think they want Naruto…” Kakashi’s eye widened.

“Itachi? Why would they send him?” Tsunade shrugged.

“I figured having Syleene guard Naruto was a good idea, she’s powerful, she graduated the same day as Itachi. They were both A+ students. Besides…if they find Syleene before Naruto, she can get rid of them…” Kakashi frowned again.

“But what about Syleene and Itachi’s past? They were team-mates.”

“Itachi killed his best friend Kakashi, what makes you think an Ex-team-mate will be any different?” Kakashi was about to say more but stopped himself.

“When do you think they’ll make their move?” Tsunade thought for a moment.

“I’m not sure, but alert the other ANBU, I don’t want them near Naruto.” Kakashi nodded and disappeared in a poof of smoke. Tsunade sighed as she rested her head in her hands. Now she had to do her paper work… “Nah.” With that she ducked under her desk and pulled out another bottle of Sake. “Secret stash!”

Shevan started wide-eyed at the sight she was seeing. Never had she seen something so…so horrifying! “Naruto don’t be a pig!” Yelled Sasuke as Naruto slurped down his ninth bowl of beef ramen. Shevan’s eye twitched.

“I’ve seen wolves with better manners.” She whispered to Sasuke, who swallowed his own ramen.

“When it comes to ramen Naruto’s out of it. Never say you’ll treat him to ramen. Don’t make the same mistake I did.” Shevan nodded quickly.

“At least wolves don’t eat like bottomless pits…” She said watching Naruto down his tenth bowl.

“Well any way. After this I’ll show you to the house.” Shevan nodded and finished off her ramen. After they finished Shevan and Sasuke had to tackle Naruto to keep him away from the ramen shack as the left.

“Naruto you’ve already cleaned out Kakashi-sensei’s wallet!”

“Well he’s the one who made the mistake of giving it to him in the first place.” Said Sasuke as they walked through the streets of Leaf.

“So Shevan. How old are you anyway?” Asked Naruto as they continued on their way.

“Naruto, it’s rude to ask women their age.” Mumbled Sasuke.

“Shut up Sasuke-teme I wasn’t talking to you!” Naruto snapped back. Shevan sighed.

Just like pups. So bent on sibling rivalry…Like two guys I know.” “I’m twenty two, Sasuke blinked and Naruto laughed. Shevan on the other hand was ready to start knocking heads.

“Twenty two! Jeez you don’t look a day over eighteen! Did you use the same Jutsu as Granny Tsunade?” Asked Naruto. Shevan’s eye twitched.

“No Naruto, I’m a fare ager.” She said through clenched teeth. Sasuke was shaking his head.

“Naruto, you’re an idiot.” Naruto fell over.

“Look who’s talking Sasuke-teme!”

“Guys knock it off!”

“Well at least I can respect women’s privacy!” Snapped Sasuke.

“Well I’m not emo!” retorted Naruto.

“Guys…” mumbled Shevan.

“You’re the dumbest kid I’ve ever met! And what’s with that stupid outfit?”

“Hey orange just happens to suit me ok! What’s with all the black?”

“It’s the colour that happened to suit me!”

“Guys…” Again Shevan went ignored.

“Come on lets settle this with our fists!”

“With pleasure! I’ll kick your ass!”

“Bring it!”

In the background the group failed to notice two figures in black and red cloak’s approaching.

“WILL YOU TWO IDIOTS KNOCK IT OFF!!!” Sasuke and Naruto both fell over at the tremendous volume. Shevan’s face was red with anger while she stood hunched over with her fists clenched at her sides. “YOUR GIVING ME A HEADACHE!” Naruto blinked in fear. Sasuke too gulped. But the scene was cut short, as Shevan stood upright, on alert.

“S-Shevan?” Asked Naruto sitting up. She ignored him as she sniffed, her demon senses kicking in. Then she stood still.

“Sasuke, take Naruto and go to Tsunade…Now.” She said strongly.

Then Sasuke felt it. He span to the source but saw nothing. He looked around but saw only empty street. It was getting late so every one was at home cooking dinner and so on. “Did you two not hear me? I said GO!” Naruto jumped to his feet with Sasuke. “Go find Tsunade, and stay with her until I come get you! NOW!” Naruto and Sasuke nodded as they sped off leaving Shevan alone, well not really alone. “Still using the same cologne I see, after all these years I’d think you’d change it.” There were footsteps from the darkness, and out stepped Uchiha Itachi and Hoshikagi Kisame.

“You’re looking well, Shevan.”

A/N Hey! Cliffy…well review me and tell me what you think ok! Yes it was a long chap and I apologise…well not really I like long chaps. That way there’s less of them…by!

Jutsu’s:

Kuchiyose: Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu’

Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique’

This jutsu summons several Ninken (ninja dogs) directly into the ground. The Ninken follow a scent given to them during the summoning and burst from the ground under it, grabbing whatever target happens to be there at the time.

‘Raikiri’

Lightning Blade’ This jutsu is an enhanced form of the One Thousand Birds, and has the same, albeit more powerful, effect. This jutsu requires a larger amount of chakra and better chakra control. This is exemplified in their respective appearances. Whereas One Thousand Birds creates a large mass of chakra in one hand that appears near white, the Lightning Blade is considerably more concentrated and appears in the normal blue colour of chakra.

Kawarimi’

Body Swap Technique’ Academy level technique that allows the user to exchange places with an inanimate object, or if skilled an animate object. Most shinobi know it and is easily detected, but can and will save a ninja’s hide when they bite off more then they can chew.
