First off, you do not know me and we have never met. I have heard praises and insults to your name for a few years now. Not recently I have come to the conclusion that while you are a negotiator and scientist, you are also brave, honest, and a man of war. I find this an agreeable combination and have recently decided that it would be a wise decision for me to impart some of my knowledge to you.

I am intimately knowledgeable about a race know as Vyam Pi’ar. From what I can gather, they settled on you planet for a short while and were called Vampires. I must add that this name rolls oddly off of my tongue.

If you are interested, I will send a trusted servant of mine to the planet that you and your team on the 12th day of your month of July in two days following the retrieval of this letter. Try not to patronize her or question her logic. Do not act as if you think that she is too young; she knows far more then looks alone can tell. She will take offence to these courses of action and she is easily brought to anger.

I regret to say that there is a slim to no chance at all of us meeting, but through her you will learn some of the facts of this race that few acknowledge. Her name is Telkaynsha’lakra, though she has found a fascination with the name Aries from you world and wishes to be called by this name instead. I think that you shall find this easier to say.
