“Promise”

“I promised you at great summer which we had and hopefully by the next, we’ll be back.”

“You promised me a great summer which I had and hopefully I will be back with you to continue great summers farther on.”

The two boys which one, named Sora, was 13 and the one named Riku,who was a year older, said these promises to each other on front of the lake in which they always said these promises to each other ever since they found this place. Destiny Islands seems to be small but if you go farther into the woods, you’ll find a new place with a beautiful lake. Sora and Riku found this place 7 years ago and they have been coming here every summer, experiencing the life in the woods together as their childhood continues in their lives. They made a promise that they promised each other a great summer and come back in the next. When finishing these sentences to each other, one of them holds a beautiful silver feather from an unknown bird that they both found and let it lay on the hand and wait for the wind to blow the feather to the lake.

Every year, every summer, these boys were best friends since they can remember,

Even when a girl named Kairi came into their lives, they still kept their promise…..

Until that night 2 years later which things had turned…..

When Riku choose the darkness….

And Sora chooses the light….

Not seeing each other for 2 years…

Searching yet staying away…….

Amazing that all of this happen only two years ago…..

Almost seems that the promise Sora and Riku kept was just a faint memory……

Wonder if it can came back.
