Disclaimer - I do not own CSI, or profit in anyway (unfortunately)
A/N - OK, so I'm not sure if there are actually canals in America. Where I live we have a couple big ones (I live 5 mins from the Falkirk Wheel - do a search if you've not heard of it - it's awesome!) So this is kinda based off the promo for 8.04, and an incident that happened beside my work (which overlooks a canal) last year. Also I don't know if you do projects like this in health class, or if you do what age you do it at, so I took liberties :)
Spoilers - Based off the promo for 8.04, nothing else.
Marriage
The last time someone asked me to marry them I said yes. It didn't work out.
I was in 8th grade, and we were given a project to be 'married'. Aaron, one of the hottest guys in the year was in my health class, and he asked me. Of course I said yes.
After being given income information, and family information (we were supposed to have 1 kid) we were told to come up with our budget for the month.
We arranged to meet after school in the library, to get started. I waited for almost an hour, before I realised he wasn't going to show, and left.
I walked out of the school, and started walking along towards the canal. As I turned onto the pathway, I saw Aaron with Cassie. They were kissing each other and didn't notice me walk right up near them.
"Why did you ask her to be your partner?" I was up close when I heard her ask that, with venom dripping. "She's an easy 'A'." Aaron replied. "She has never failed, and won't want to start now. If I don't show, she'll do all the work."
I had heard enough at that point. Walking closer, I coughed to get his attention, and then pushed him, hard. He fell into the canal. Cassie just looked at me, before jumping in to try to 'save' him. He was fine; I mean he is on the swim team!
So now I'm being asked about marriage again. I think I'll say yes. But I don't see this one ending with me pushing him into a canal. His bugs? Maybe, if they get out and into the bedroom again.

A/N 2 - Canals are fun! So far, in the 2 years I've worked there, we've seen boats (obviously - and we have locks at either side), naked men swimming (drunk) and the police who tried to fish them out, and too many other random things! And if all else fails, and you are bored with nothing else to do, it can be theraputic to watch the water!
