Hiya. I'm Fai, Tracie's(Two-Bitty) little sister. This is my first fic. I write alot like Tracie does, so we might look the same. This is a slash fic of Two-Bit and Darry, becuse you never see that pair. Tracie helped me with it(everything except the kiss) and i owe it to him. Please be nice!
One kid, not much older than my self, kept popping up everywhere I went. On my couch at home, at the dinner table, mooching off of us, and he even got a job roofing houses with me. And I have to say, he’s not bad at it. Not that I mind having him around, he’s a good friend and he always lifts the mood when he’s around. The guy can’t keep his mouth shut for a good five minutes, though. But I like him. A lot.
“Dar! Wake up!” the familiar voice yelled. I cracked open my eyes and blinked a little, to clear the blurred vision. None other than Two-Bit’s gray eyes were staring blankly into mine. Then, he smiled. “You sleepin’, Dar-Dar?” he asked. I grinned and put a hand on his cheek to push him away. He fell to the side, landing on his back.
“Yes, I was sleeping, Two-Bit,” I barked, sitting up and smiling. Two-Bit had an arm shielding his eyes from the sun. He was shirtless and dripping with sweat and grease, “You workin’ hard, kid?”
“A lot harder than you, my good man,” he said with a phony British accent. Playfully, I punched him and got to my feet.
“Hey, I did finish before you.”
“So?” He got to his feet and poked a finger into my stomach, “At least I’m working.”
“I know. A sign of the Apocalypse,” I barked, swatting his hand. He sucked on his finger.
“So violent,” he whined.
“Get over it,” I said, “C’mon, lets finish the roof real quick,” I said, guiding him to the other side of the roof. He was whining at me to stop pushing him.
We finished roofing the house after another hour and I noticed it was about time to head home and cook dinner. Two-Bit’s car was in the shop, so I was his ride home. In the car, he leaned back in the chair and rested for a moment or two. I directed the car to the road and sped out onto it. Occasionally, I’d look at him to see him staring at me. Since he had gotten the job with me, his body has gotten a lot tanner. Made him look rougher. Tuff.
“You staying for dinner, kid?” I asked as we pulled in front of the house. He shrugged.
“Only if I’m invited,” he said, getting out and grabbing his shirt from the dashboard. I followed, grabbing the bundle of roofing I brought with me.
“Since when do you care if I invite you to eat over?” I asked, patting him on the back and passing him the bundle. He chucked it over to the side wall of the house. I went in first and he followed. His usual route was to toss his shirt across the room, grab a towel from my room, and hop in the shower.
I heard the shower roar quietly through the kitchen wall. No one was home yet so I was stuck making dinner by myself. I knew Two-Bit wouldn’t want to help, he never likes to cook. I was making the sauce when Two-Bit, freshly showered and dressed, came out and sat at the table. He looked at me for a moment.
“Need help, Dar?” he asked, looking at the pot of boiling water.
“Since when are you so helpful, Two-Bit? What are you, sick?” I asked laughing as I tossed him the box of uncooked spaghetti. He caught it and opened the flaps. I moved out of the way as he squeezed past to the pot. Taking a handful, he broke all of them in half and threw them in. Then he took the spoon and stirred the pot. I was adding spices and pieces of meat to the sauce. It was about that time the front door slammed open and I could hear the buzz of conversation from Sodapop and Steve. Then, there was a crash.
“I DIDN’T DO IT!” they yelled in unison. I shook my head.
“Be careful guys!” I yelled in response. There was a thud and I already knew Steve had tackled Soda. It was routine. I switched places with Two-Bit, leaving him to finish the sauce. I took the pot off of the heat and went to the sink where I had placed a strainer earlier. After I emptied the pot into the strainer, I ran cold water over it. Pony walked in, rubbing a hand through his hair. I guess I didn’t hear him come in from the sound of Soda and Steve fighting.
“Hey Darry,” he greeted, sitting down at the table. He looked around for a moment then at Two-Bit, “Hey Two-Bit, how’d Darry get you to cook?” he asked, grinning. Two-Bit threw the wooden spoon at Pony.
“I’m trying to figure that out myself, Pone,” I said, grinning wide at Two-Bit, “I think he’s sick.”
“Haha, very funny, Dar,” he said, turning off the heat on the stove. Pony rested his head on the table and closed his eyes. It had been a month or two since Johnny and Dally died and Pony was almost back to his normal self. Except for the occasional crying spells, he was back to normal. But now, he was concentrated on a piece of red-blonde hair. It was almost back to normal, since the bleaching in Windrixville.
“Darry, when’s dinner?” Soda yelled, “I’m STARVING!”
“I was just about to call. Come on, you too Steve. We have enough.” Steve was peaking around the corner. A grin placed his self on his face as he came around the corner.
After everyone was down, I dished out the food. For a moment, we all ate in silence.
“Not bad, Darry,” Steve said,
“Thank Two-Bit too, he helped.” Suddenly, Soda and Steve both spit out their mouthfuls and made hacking noises. Two-Bit cocked an eyebrow.
“Geez guys...” he muttered.
“Guys, don’t worry. It ain’t poisoned!”
“How do you know?” Steve answered, smartly.
“I was watching him,” I said, taking another bite, “Ya’ll better eat cause you wont get anything else.” Soda and Steve reluctantly gave into the food.

Steve and Two-Bit decided to spend the night, after all, tomorrow was a Saturday. Two-Bit took the chair and Steve took the couch. Soda and Pony went right to sleep, so did Steve and Two-Bit, so I decided to hit the hay too.
In my bed, I was staring at the point where the wall and the ceiling met. There was a stupid little spider crawling around. All my focus was on it. I heard the door open and close, then footsteps coming to my bed. My eyes shut, pretending to be asleep. If it was Soda, he’d wake me up, but if it was Steve or Two-Bit, hopefully he’d go away and let me sleep.
“Darry?” Two-Bit called. I pretended to still be asleep unless he really needed me, “Darry?” he repeated. The edge of the bed sank where he knelt. I could feel him lean over me. Then, I felt his lips on mine, softly. My eyes opened and I saw him, lightly kissing me with his eyes closed. I blinked for a minute. In one swift movement, I grabbed onto him and flipped him onto the bed so I was on top. His eyes were huge, expanding over half of his face, or so it seamed. I grinned.
“Hey there. Funny meeting you here,” I said, smiling. He blinked, a blush creeping onto his face.
“Um... I... I’m...,” he stammered, searching for words. Rolling my eyes, I bent down and gave him a small kiss. He tensed up for a moment, but relaxed and let himself enjoy it. I broke the kiss and saw him blushing again.
“I guess...” he started, stammering a little, “this means... we’re...” he trailed off, blushing more."
“Together?” I finished. He blushed again. I laughed. “Aw, you’re blushing. You've been exposed, kid.”
“Shut up!” he said defensively.
“But hey,” I began, nuzzling his neck, “Our relationship will never be the same.” and I kissed him again, but deeper than the first two. I felt him chuckle into it, then kiss back. After a minute for two, we broke again.
“I guess this is a whole new level,” he said, grinning.
“I guess so, little buddy.”
