“Come on then lets get this over with,” Catherine Willows stormed into Grissom’s office pulling the chair out and slamming herself down into it opposite him. It was her progress report, something she resented doing and she was fairly certain Grissom resented too.
“Right you’re going to ask me how things are and if there’s any problems,” Cath took a breath before launching into her rant, “I’ve just spent three hours at a decomp and had to go to a B & E because were a CSI down since Sara moved to swing, I’ve had a two hours phone argument with Lindsey that I thinks he won. I have no time to myself and no time to spend with Lindsey; I spend all my time here which leaves like chance of ever having a life or god forbid a relationship. Not that I’m certain anyone would want one with someone who works all night, smells like human decomp and goes slightly neurotic because they haven’t slept for twenty hours. When I finally get home I’ll see Lindsey for all of two minutes during which time she’ll just grunt at me. So your probably doing me a favour because every relationship I get into is a train wreck, so maybe I should spend all my time here because according to Lindsey ‘it’s better with out me’. So far all my relationships are going down the drain, my daughter won speck to me and any man I come across whose half decent wants to spend time together in the day and doesn’t want to put up with someone ranting on like me,” Cath finally ran out of air in her lungs and looked up to see Grissom sat exactly how he was when she walked in his pen in one hand string at the desk.
“Oh that’s great now even you’ve stopped listening, do you have nay idea of what I just said because I’ve had enough today and I doubt you want to put of with a hormonal sleep deprived woman any longer so I’ll just sign the damn review and leave.”
Still Grissom had not moved and it took a moment of silence for him to look up.
“Sara’s pregnant,” he said staring directly at Cath, “so I’m going to go home to a hormonal sleep deprived woman.”
“Oh,” was Cath’s only reply he had finally silenced Catherine Willows.
THE END
Just a short one shot that popped into my brain so therefore I had to write it. Please drop a review I love reading them.
