Ask Aunt Emmett

Dear Aunt Emmett,

I was always wondering, how do you pronounce Carlisle’s name? Is the s silent? Or is it pronounced Car- weasel? Please help before this problem distresses me any more.

With Love,

Bad with Names

Dear Bad with Names,

The last part of your letter confused me so forget about me answering it. When Carlisle first let me into his family, I had the same problem too. At first, I also called him Car-Weasel but he just looked at me kinda funny and wouldn’t really talk to me. Then I realized that he most likely doesn’t like his formal name so I called him by a cool nickname, Carshizzle. But then he looked at me even stranger, but I really didn’t care. I switched off names from time to time, but he wouldn’t even talk to me anymore. I was sad because I thought he didn’t like me anymore. My family noticed I was sad. They helped me out by calling me “Emo Emmett” whatever that means. And then Esme eventually hid all knives and anything with sharp edges from me. Edward finally explained to me that everyone thought I was depressed. I tried to explain to them, and I now think they understand. But I still can’t find the knives anywhere… Anyway, back to your question. I think it is pronounced Car-weasel. However, you can call him any name you want. I hope I have now cleared things up for you. Super Aunt Emmett saves the day again!!

-Emmett

PS By the way, NEVER call Esme Emu, I learned that the hard way...

If you have a question for Aunt Emmett please tell me!! I need ideas! Sorry about grammer thingys!
