A/N:
This isn’t my first English fic, but the first being published. I know there are some grammatical errors, so I’ll appreciate it if you readers leave your opinions and corrections in a review (not to mention it will make me happy xD).

This is a Layla/Sora fic, so if you don’t like yuri you better go away! (although flamers are welcomed too).

--Rainy Day--

And so, this rain will continue, as result of a minor hurricane passing by close to our shore. But don’t worry, it’s nothing serious, and by tomorrow’s noon the hurricane shall be gone and the sun’s warm will be with Cape Mary citizens again. By the time left, my recommendation is to don’t go outside…”

This weather was now the same for the past two days. And it was going to last one more.

“… hot cocoa and your beloved ones next to you. And to the lovebirds, use this time to gain intimacy! Cuddling on the carpet in front of the fireplace it’s romantic as doingit.” Someone’s voice could be heard faintly, it was yelling. “Oops, sorry for the last sentence-don’t repeat it, kiddos. This was your weather report with Cape Mary’s Weather Miss. Until next time!” The set changed and now the face of a mortified broadcaster offering his apologies for the inappropriate remark could be seen. “…sure she didn’t mean that. Next... ”--Layla turned the TV off before the broadcaster could finish his sentence. Surely the Weather Miss will be scolded by the channel’s executives if she wasn’t being fired… the blonde doubted the last. The Weather Miss was precisely the channel's news viewers magnet.

About the weather, yeah, it was raining; hard enough as to don’t leaving home, and for once, Layla thanked the weather girl’s advice. But it was a sorrow that her place didn’t have a fireplace. Maybe it was time to move on…

Ah, well. That can be discussed later. More important, is she still home?”

Layla searched around the apartment, and found her lying in bed, still wearing her pajamas.

“Sora?”

The mentioned one got her head out of the covers, looked at her, and said the most intelligent reply she could came up with at that time.

“Huh?”

Well, she was sleepy after all.

“Are you going to the stage today?”

“And freeze to the bones when it’s warmer inside here? I don’t think so; I’m not in reckless mode now.” She covered a yawn. “Besides, I’ve hear the Weather report from here.”

“Sorry for the loud, I figured you would be out by now.”

“Ah, well, that’s true---but I’m not in the mood for training. I went yesterday, when it was raining a little bit less, but more of the half of the cast didn’t come to the practice. Every one of them called saying that it was due to the weather.”

“What did Kalos do?”

“Ohhhhh, he just looked like a chimney. He was cursing the hurricane. It was fun to watch how Sarah was demanding him to be quiet or she would dump him. He-he…”

“Hmm… Then? You are not going today?”

“Nope. And I’m not calling them, Sarah told me yesterday to don’t go for the rest of the week. We’re just keeping it from Kalos. Sorry that I won’t be there to watch the scene…”

“Well, it’s about time for a little vacation. Kalos should give that more often…”

“I’m with you. Sure the stage is fun, but his tyrannical way it’s beginning to tiring us…”

“Us?”

“The crew.”

At this time, Sora was now sitting in bed, with the covers at her lap. Layla was leaning in the door frame, watching as she was still rubbing her eyes. Her travel coat was folded in one of her arms.

She noticed Sora’s expression.

“Something is bugging you?”

In a deadpan voice, the lilac-haired woman answered.

“Hai.”

Japanese. Sora used it when she wanted to sound serious around her---that was another indicative for the blonde that something serious was going on.

“What is it?”

“Anata.”

She was the problem?

“Am I?”

“Yes, you. You just arrived from that business trip, went to watch the news, asked me if I’m going to Kaleido today, and you are still there in the door. How much are you gonna make me wait?”

Ohhh… so it was that…”

Layla smirked. One moment later, she was cuddling with Sora in bed.

“I missed you” the younger said.

“It was only two days…”

“I know. Still, I missed you.”

“So did I.”

Sora looked through the window in their room.

“Can we stay like this for the rest of the day? It’s a nice way to watch the rain…”

“We can, and we will. Even if the rain goes away.” She said, while nuzzling in the Japanese’s neck from behind. Sora giggled. Layla sighed in content. “I love rain.”

Sora feigned hurt. “I thought you loved me.”

“Hmm… right now, is hard to say…”

“You’re mean. You love to tease me, that is.”

“You are right, I love to tease you.” That earned another giggle from the Japanese woman.

A comfortable silence passed.

“I love the rain, but I love it just because it let’s me to be like this with you all day long. So, what do you think? Do I love the rain more than I love you?”

“There is no point telling me the reason you love rain.”

“Why?”

“Because I know that. Take that.”

“Oww” said the blonde, “Now my pride is hurt.”

Both of them laughed.

Yes, the blonde loved rain for moments like this. Who wouldn’t?

“You know,” started the blonde. She just remembered something.

“Hmm?”

“I think we should move on.”

“Move on?”

“Yeah, a new place, preferably one that has a fireplace so we can buy a nice carpet.”

“You want to move on to a house with fireplace so you can buy a carpet?”

“You don’t get it, do you?”

“No, I don’t.”

“I want to move on to a house with fireplace, so we can buy a fine, proper carpet. That way, on times like this, enlightened by the firelight and with a fine wine glass, we will be able to lay in the carpet to our heart’s content and nothing more than our nakedness covering us.”

Sora blushed. And as Layla realized it, she continued.

“We haven’t done it on a carpet. I mean, we have already done it on the kitchen, the Jacuzzi, the sofa, the stage’s dressing-rooms after that play, your house at Japan when we went to visit your family, Kalos offic…”

Sora was blushing harder than before. “Layla!”

“Oh! The car! That’s on pending-list too! And don’t forget the gym!”

“LAYLA!”

Sora was nearer to the tone of a crimson wine than to the normal Japanese paleness.

Cute!” was on the blonde mind. Oh yeah, the blonde loved rain for moments like this.

A/N: Well, that’s it. Care to tell me how was it?
