Ok, DV is sort of the sister site to DA. Now, some of the characters have the same name. They ARE NOT the same person.

Henri stared out the window, watching the rain fall down. Henri was a teenage boy, around sixteen. His hair was brown and he was in all green. He sat up and looked at the foot of his bed. A stuffed T-Rex sat at there, worn with age. Henri wasn’t an orphan like everyone else in the orphanage. Well… he might be. Truth was, he didn’t know. Henri had arrived on the door step when he was seven. He remembered nothing. Well, he knew his name. But nothing else.
The door opened and three kids walked in. Well, one of them really stormed. All three were soaked. Ah… the Inaba kids were back.
Henri smirked and sat up. “Back a little late, aren’t you? School ended what… two hours ago? I skipped today… Miss. Parker needed help with the little ones.”
You could tell all three were related. The oldest, Taro, looked like he belonged to a gang. His hair was messy and dirty blonde, his eyes emerald green. He wore glasses and all black. He sank down on to his bed, his face red. The middle child was a girl, Kotone. She had sandy blonde hair and robin-egg blue eyes. And for some reason she always wore long sleeved shirts, even on hot days. Finally there was Hikaru. He was a mini, yet happier, version of Taro. He was small, seven, and looked a lot like his brother. His dirty blonde hair refused to lie flat and they had emerald green eyes, though he wore no glasses. But he also carried around an old stuffed bunny, Mr. Floppsy.
Kotone dropped down on to her bed, looking furious. “Yeah, it did. But Mr. Wonderful decided he would pick another fight in gym. We had to wait on him after school while he ran two miles. And we had to wait in the frickin’ rain.” Kotone crossed her arms and glared at her brother.
“At least onii-chan got some exercise out of it.” Hikaru said with a smile. He hugged Mr. Floppsy and continued to smile. He was the only one of the Inaba kids who smiled on a regularly basis. Henri, out of the seven years he had known them, had never seen Taro smile. And Kotone’s smile was granted once every other month. Never around Christmas.
“Shut up, Hikaru.” Taro snapped. “No one wants to hear any of your happy sunshine crap, ok?” He sank down on to his bed and rolled over, his back facing towards his siblings.
Kotone hissed, “Don’t talk to him like that just because you got into a fight! You should be apologizing to him! He can’t go h… come back here without us. And I can’t come back here without you. So you made him sit in the rain for two hours!”
Hikaru smiled and shook his head. “I don’t mind, sissy. I like the rain.”
“The love never ends.” Henri said with a smirk. “So let me guess how your days were… Taro, you’re your usually cheery self… Kotone good as usual… and Hikaru perfect as always! Did Mr. Floppsy have fun at school today?”
Hikaru nodded and grinned. “Yep! Mrs. Martin taught us how to paint today! I painted a picture our family!”
At the word ‘family’ a tense silence engulfed the entire room. Even Kotone’s cat, a orange and yellow Maine Coon named Hotaka, seemed to get stiff as he curled up on the end of Kotone’s bed. The word ‘family’ was like a curse word to orphans. Well, most orphans. Not Henri. He smiled.
“You can show me later, squirt.” Henri said, still smiling.
The silence lifted and the kids began talking again. Five older kids left to go up to the roof. Two younger girls went off to play with the dolls in the playroom. Then the door opened and Miss. Parker, an old African American lady, led a fourteen-year-old boy in. He was carrying two suit cases. His hair was blonde and his eyes were green.
“Well would you look at that…” Taro muttered as he sat up. “Fresh meat!”
Kotone glared at her brother and stroked Hotaka. He was a huge cat, though that came with his breed. Henri often called him ‘Titan Kitty’ and when Hikaru was young he worried Hotaka would crush him. “Ignore him. He’s forgotten what it’s like to be a new kid. I’m Kotone.”
The boy flashed her a small smile as he passed and set his things on an empty bed. He began unpacking silently and everyone began talking again.
“Children, it’s dinnertime. Tar-oh my… why are you three all wet?! Go dry off. Henri go get the little ones rounded up. Then can you get the older kids on the roof? Thanks. Ok children come on.” Miss. Parker said, leading the kids out.
The children obeyed, though two stayed behind. One girl, Lena, and Taylor. Lena had semi-dark skin, short brown hair, and dark brown eyes. She eventually sighed and got up. She stood and began to walk out, clutching the cross on her necklace. Though she didn’t go to the cafeteria, she turned and began to wander aimlessly down the halls. After Taylor had unpacked his things, he didn’t know where to go. So he followed her.

Kotone sighed and dried Hikaru’s hair off with a towel. “Sorry I bit your head off, Taro. I’ve been stressed lately.”
Taro frowned and looked at the floor has he dried his hair off. “No, it’s my fault. I shouldn't have even picked a fight. But you know how I get.”
Hikaru raised Mr. Floppsy. “Sissy, Mr. Floppsy isn’t dry yet.” He made one of Mr. Floppsy’s arms move feebly.
Kotone sighed. “I’ll put him in the drier, ok? Now come on, I want to get there before all they have left is stale bread.” Kotone took Hikaru by the hand and began to lead him and Taro down the hallway. Ahead they saw the new boy, Taylor, and a girl around nine.
“Hey! Guys!”
Henri ran out of the computer room. “Guys look at this… I was looking for a book in the computer room and the computer turned on by itself and there’s this weird welcome message…”
Taylor and the girl, Lena, stopped and turned around to look at Henri. Taro raised an eyebrow and looked at his sister, who had a strange look on her face.
“I’m serious! Look!” Henri said, gesturing for them to follow them. He led them into the computer room and pointed to the screen triumphantly. “See?!”
Taro leaned over and pushed his glass up the bridge of his nose so he could see better. “It says… welcome to Windows. Henri what are you smoking? It’s the same has always. Is this some kind of joke?”
Henri frowned. “No, it says ‘You six have been chosen. Do you wish to accept?’ and then there are to buttons that say ‘Decline’ and one that says ‘Accept.’”
“I don’t see it.” Kotone said, narrowing her eyes at the screen.
“Neither do I.” Lena said, looking doubtful.
“What does it mean by ‘chosen?’ Does that mean someone wants to adopt us or something?” Taylor asked.
“It better not.” Kotone muttered. “Click accept Henri.”
Henri shrugged and clicked ‘accept’ then… something strange happened. The screen went black, then began flashing different colors. Six beams of light shot out of the screen. As if by instinct everyone caught the one that was zipping towards them. Emerald green for Henri, light blue for Taro, red for Kotone, gold for Hikaru, orange for Taylor, and purple for Lena. Each light settled in their hands, then cooled leaving a device.
“What. The. Fu- heck.” Taro said, looking at his young brother. “What are these things?” he held up a light blue and white device.
“It looks like a handheld game or something…” Taylor muttered… flipping his orange and blue device over.
The screen went white and something’s head came out. It brought it’s arms out and began pushing on the monitor. “Guys! I’m stuck! Give me a shove!” He yelled, looking at the monitor. As a response it was sent flying and it crashed into the wall. “Thanks G…”
A blue dog with boxing gloves and a bandana leapt out. “Any time.”
Next came a yellow and white fox. She leapt out and landed on two feet. “Way to Agumon…”
The orange dinosaur rubbed his head. “I can’t help it!”
A cream puppy leapt out next, landing on the keyboard. She giggled and jumped down on to the floor. “Can we play now?”
Next came a lioness. She had tan fur and a cream underbelly. Her tail was long, skinny, and whip-like and had two golden spikes at the tip. And she had a golden mark on her forehead: a triangle with a star inside and dots around it. She landed on all fours. “Agumon how can you possibly get stuck?”
Lastly came a grey one. He had white hair ont he top of his head, black horns, wings, and a forked tail.
“Your Lena?” the fox asked, looking at the nine-year-old. “Your… shorter than I imagined.”
The orange dinosaur walked to Henri and grinned. “Hi! I’m Agumon! I’m your digimon partner!”
