"Ooh!" Squealed Hana as she pointed at the doll in the shop window. "Oh, Kiba look!" She squealed again. The doll Hana was pointing to was a lovely Gothic Lolita doll. The doll was wearing a lacy black and purple Victorian styled dress. It had short cropped purple hair and was holding a black umbrella with white frills that was pointed at the end. It was slightly larger then normal porcelain dolls, but that just brought more attention to it. "Kiba isn't it beautiful?" Hana asked with a sigh as she clutched to her brother’s arm "Don't you like it too Kiba?" She asked pulling on his arm for his attention.
Kiba could only nod nervously in reply, his face slightly pale at the sight of what he considered a rather spooky doll.
"I would LOVE to have it." Hana hinted, emphasising on the word love. "I wonder if I could ever get it..." Hana pondered, watching her brother out the corner of her eye. Kiba thought for a moment before nodding and pulling some money out of his pocket.
"KIBA!!!" His twin sister squealed attacking him with hugs and affectionate kisses. "Thank you so much!" Looking at the doll again a thought crossed Hana’s mind "Hmm, I wonder what I should call it."
Kiba muttered some rather taboo names under his breath whilst giving his sister a fake smile. "I'm sure you'll think of a good name, imouto!"
"Hidan! I will name the doll Hidan!" Hana said giving her brother a wide grin. "Come on! Let's go get it!" Hana said dragging her brother into the shop.
Kiba walked steadily to the counter, promptly ignoring the other rather suspicious items in the shop. Barely notice much other than cobwebs, the skull on the shelf and the old, almost dead man behind the counter. Standing on his tiptoes so he could see over the counter, Kiba put his money down. "I would like to buy the doll in the shop window. The one with the purple hair, please sir." Kiba politely asked. The old man reached into the display case and pulled out the doll, handing it to a rather ecstatic Hana. "There ya go Hana. I’m happy I had enough money for the doll!" Kiba said grinning at his sister.
"Thank you so much Kiba." Hana said in a rather awed voice, as she held the doll in a rather delicate embrace.
Slowly a light began to grow in the dolls eyes, almost as if it was awakening.
Hidan...hmm, not a bad name. It looks like it's time for me to play again...
For some reason Kiba gave a shiver, almost as if it was a premonition of bad things to come.

As the Inuzuka twins arrived back home, they both entered the kitchen feeling rather hungry. "Want something to eat Hana-chan?" Kiba called feeling rather chirpy for some reason.
"Yes please! What about you Hidan?" She asked the doll. Not expecting an answer, but because she felt the doll was precious to her and she wanted to act as if it was real. Turning her head back to Kiba she missed Hidan’s answer.
Kiba looked up, wondering if his sister would stop speaking to the doll and tell him what she wanted. "Well?" So only Kiba saw the doll smile, then nod and point to the biscuit tin.
Time to play...
Kiba dropped the juice he was holding, spilling it everywhere. He pointed at the doll, eyes wide with fright. "Ha-Ha-Ha-Hana-chan! It talks!" Kiba cried in horror.
"What does?" His sister asked confused.
"The doll!" Kiba answered, his hands trembling.
"What game are we playing?" Hana asked with a happy smile, coming to the conclusion that her brother wasn't serious and was merely playing with her.
The doll’s eyes sparkled with amusement and eerie giggles began to resonate through the room, only audible to Kiba.
Kiba frowned as he watched the doll. "Never mind, I'm just tired that's all." He said giving a sheepish laugh and reaching for a towel to mop up the mess he had made.
"Aww..." Hana said with a cute pout.
"I'll clean this up. You go to your room, OK? Then we will have some supper."
"Okay, if you say so..."
As Hana left with the doll, the doll gave Kiba a wink.
I'll play with you later...
Kiba gave a small shudder and watched his sister’s back as she walked down the hall.
Reaching her room, Hana put the doll down on her bed. "We will see each other later, OK?" She said as she propped the doll up carefully against her pillow.
Oh we'll definitely see each other later. Once I'm through with the mutt I'll come for you Hana. You’re my playthings...
Kiba gave another shudder. He really didn't feel too good about that doll. He finished making the dinner and looked up relieved when Hana walked back into the kitchen.
"I made soup!" He said grinning.
"What kind?"
"The kind you eat silly."
Suddenly eerie singing began to float through the house.
Blood red soup.
Blood red soup.
Eyeball surprises in your blood red soup.
The song continued floating around and two objects fell into the soup bowls, un-noticed by the siblings. Still grinning Kiba put the soup bowls on the table, sat down and picked up a spoon. The siblings started to slurp up the soup, suddenly Hana stopped eating.
"Aniki, what's this?" Hana asked, looking up and holding up a circular object. Kiba turned pale, and cautiously looked down at his own spoon and saw another eyeball. Quickly grabbing the eyeballs he threw them in the sink.
"They’re eyes! Don't touch them!" He yelled also throwing the soup bowls in the sink.
"What? How would eyes get in our soup!" Hana asked with an incredulous look on her face. "Come on Kiba you’re not being any fun!" Hana said assuming this was another game, she really wanted to know what they were playing now.
"What do you mean? You can't eat those!" Kiba cried pointing towards the sink.
"There weren't any eyeballs and you know it." Hana replied putting her hands on her hips in an authoritative manner.
Eerie giggles sounded again.
Not only do I have my eyes on you, but the walls have ears as well. I see you my pets. I hear you my pets. Come play with me, my pets.
More giggles sounded.
"Will you stop it already Kiba, it's not funny!"
Kiba gave a shudder and looked around frantically. "I'm not being funny!"
You’re such an amusing plaything...
"Ca-Can't you hear that!" Kiba said, his eyes wide with fear.
"Hear what? Oh wait, yes. Yes, I can. It's the sound of my brother being an idiot. I'm really hungry and you’re just playing games!"
Kiba frowned at Hana. "Maybe I just need some sleep."
"Fine." Hana said with a huff "Go to bed if you want!"
Kiba pointed to the fridge. "You go ahead and eat... I'm going to sleep."
"Okay then. Night!"
Kiba cautiously walked toward his room, his eyes on the walls and wincing at every creak the floor boards made.
A gentle humming began to sound, closely followed by another eerie song.
Snip and snails, and puppy dogs tails.
A yelp came from Akamaru accompanied with a giggle. Kiba ran to the noise, only to find a tail-less Akamaru. In the kitchen Hana stopped eating her food, "Akamaru?"
"HANA!" Kiba cried. "Akamaru's hurt!"
"Kiba! What happened?" Hana called back as she ran to her brother.
"I don't know! One minute he yelped the next he has no tail!"
"A-Akamaru" Hana whimpered seeing the state of the dog. "We need to get Akamaru to a vet. And fast, he's bleeding everywhere. So much red..."
Kiba picked up Akamaru and carried him to the living room. He laid him down on the dog bed before he started trying to stop the bleeding with his jacket. "But the vets are closed for the holiday! And Mum and Dad aren't home for the weekend either!"
A puppy’s tail fell on Kiba’s head. Blood also started to drip from the ceiling. Up on the ceiling a message was written in blood:
Hello, my new play things. This is my greeting!
Next to the message the kitchen knife was embedded in the ceiling.
"Kiba!" Hana screamed in horror. Giving a yelp, Kiba threw the tail off his head and to the ground. Hana began to shake in fear and tears also began to fall. "W-What's going on?"
"I-I think it's Hidan!" Kiba answered looking at the message. "We have to leave. NOW!"
More singing begins.
Run rabbit
Run rabbit
Run, run, run
Grabbing Hana’s hand, Kiba made a sprint for the front door.
Eerie giggles followed Kiba through the house.
You can run, but you can't hide. You’re my new pets now.
Kiba winced at the giggles. He was almost at the door. Suddenly there was a yank on his arm, looking back he saw Hana had tripped, shakily she got up again. "You okay sis?"
"Akamaru you'll be okay." Hana said looking at the whimpering bundle in Kiba’s arms. "Yeah, I'm fine, just worry about Akamaru."
The singing starts up again.
Gonna catch you
A loud bang came from the front door.
Gonna get you
The door bangs again.
Gonna make you scream
Another bang sounded.
Gonna make you cry a river of red
The bangs got louder.
"Wh-What are we going to do!?" Kiba stuttered.
"Let's try and go to our neighbours!" Hana suggested seeing her brother scared and clueless. Nodding at Hana’s suggestion Kiba backed away from the door grabbing Hana’s hand and dragging her behind. Reaching the living room, he collapsed in the middle of the room in a sitting position.
"W-What are you doing!?" Hana stammered out.
"Do you want to see what's on the other side of that door!?" Kiba asked incredulously. "Because I don't."
"What are we going to do?" Hana asked with a sigh. "Let's try the phone!" She yelled, wondering why she hadn't thought of that earlier.
Nodding Kiba picked up the phone, dialed the number and handed Hana the receiver. "We'll call the neighbours."
"Parents first" Hana, said dialing the number of their parents hotel. "Damn, no answer!" Hanging up she tried the neighbours instead.
"Are they picking up?" Kiba asked leaning in to listen.
"I didn't even hear a dial tone." Hana answered with a solemn face. "What's wrong with this?" She yelled, chucking the phone against the wall. Calming down a little bit she turned to her brother. "Should we try to leave by the windows?" Kiba nodded in reply, so Hana went to the window.
"Is it opening?" He asked as he put Akamaru back in his dog bed.
"Ngh, it's stuck! Give me a hand!" With Kiba’s help the twins pried open the window.
How much is that doggy in the window?
Hana jumped out the window quickly whilst Kiba just jumped away from the window at the sound of the singing. "D-Did you hear that?"
"No. I didn't hear anything."
The doggy in the window...
"You can't be serious!" Kiba yelled, his whole body shivering in fear.
The one that's all cut up
Kiba's eyes went wide and his breathing increased.
"Hurry up Kiba! Let's get out of here!"
How much is that doggy in the window?
Kiba gave a nod to his sister.
That doggy in the window...
He quickly tried to jump out the window.
The one that's covered in blood
Kiba covered his ears. The window slammed down on Kiba’s torso, the glass shattered and blood sprayed everywhere.
"KIBA!!!" Hana cried.
Kiba coughed a little trying to catch his breath.
"Are you okay?" Hana screamed at him.
Kiba gave a small nod. "Damn, that hurt."
"Can you get out?"
"...Only if I go back in."
"Good luck Kiba..." Hana said as she tried to sneak away.
"No way!" He said grabbing her hand. "If I don't make it, neither do you!" He said dragging her back in the window along with himself.
Hana began to cough, the coughs got deeper and she started to cough up blood. Unexpectedly she coughed up a nail. "Hmm, must have been in the soup."
"Must have." Kiba said in agreement.
"Now then, let's hurt whatever is messing with us!" Hana yelled grabbing a baseball bat from the living room. Their Dad loved to collect sport equipment.
"It's your doll."
"Kiba, don't be crazy! How could it be a doll?"
That's right my pets, come to me.
"Because it is! And yes I am crazy... thanks for noticing." Kiba replied grabbing a knife.
"Kiba." Hana said turning towards him, her eyes not quite looking at him though. Suddenly without warning she attacked him, smashing the wooden bat against him. Kiba yelped in surprise and desperately tried to block and dodge the attacks. It wasn't hard though. Her attacks were rather dazed and weren't quite reaching him.
"Hana! Stop it! What are you doing?"
"I don't know! I can't see! It's like someone is controlling my body!!"
"Snap out of it!" Kiba yelled, shaking his sister by the shoulders.
Hana’s body shook, and her eyes slowly began to focus on him. "Kiba! I am so sorry! I-I don't know... Kiba!" She wailed clutching at him.
Kiba shook his head. "It's ok. Let's just find a way out."
"Alright."
The eerie giggles sounded again.
Time to play with the girl...
"W-What was that?" Hana asked her eyes wide with shock.
"We have to stay in this room Hana. We don't know exactly where it is."
"O-Okay."
Two Inuzukas sitting in a room
One goes boom, the other meets their doom.
Kiba listened to the singing voice trembling. "What is that?" Hana asked, now able to hear the voice.
"It's your doll, the one we bought earlier."
"But how could it do such a thing! It's not alive, right?"
"M-Maybe it is."
"But how!? This is so bizarre! Kiba... I am so sorry. This is all my fault! If I hadn't of asked you for the doll in the first place... This is all my fault!" Hana cried, burying her face in her hands.
"No, it's fine. We'll be ok."
"How can you say that!? We're going to die here!"
"Don't say that!"
"Then what!?" Hana yelled.
"It will be fine! We'll get out... somehow."
"I hope so. God, I hope so."
Hope is a candle that glows brightly in the darkness, now watch me blow out that flame.
"Who is this!? What do you want?" Kiba yelled.
"Why are you doing this?" Hana called out.
To play...
"Can't we play a game like hide and seek?" Kiba said shuddering.
"You’re mad!" Hana yelled.
It's simply a game.
"We don't like this game!" Kiba called back.
But the rules are the rules. You have to play. It will only get worse if you don't.
"If it's a game, then Kiba and I will win for sure!"
You better hurry, because the odds are against you.
"How do you win? Please at least tell us the rules!" Kiba begged.
Find me and the game ends... That's if you can actually get near me.
"And if we don't find you?" Kiba asked.
Then you die.
The television suddenly turned on and the fridge door opened, the bloody corpse of Akamaru fell onto the floor and eerie giggles sounded once more. Kiba screamed, tears rolling down his cheeks. "AKAMARU!"
"No! NO!" Hana cried clutching her head in misery. "We'll find you! And we'll kill you!" Hana yelled through her tears, Kiba also gave a nod through his trembling.
"Yeah, we will."
"You'll pay for what you did to Akamaru!" Hana screamed standing up. "Let's check my room, where I left her for clues." Kiba gave a nod and followed his sister, and the eerie giggles continued to echo through the house.
