Spiraling Out of Control

A/n alright this is the completely re-done version of my first story A New Adventure. I decided to delete A New Adventure because it was horrible and here is the new re-written version of that story. This story will be different in many ways from A New Adventure.

I’m sorry in advance for any grammar errors I missed. I honestly scoured this thing several times to make sure it was alright.

Pairing: Molly/Aikka

Summary: It’s been 1 year since Oban ended. Molly is now 16 and hasn’t seen Aikka in over a year. While on earth she has made many new friends but not everything is all its cracked up to be. After one of her friends betrays her after Aikka comes to visit, both Aikka and Molly’s lives begin to spiral out of control as they make new allies, enemies and learn things that they never thought possibly about themselves.

Chapter one: Where a Prince Returns

Molly sat staring out the window of her history class. She couldn’t believe it had already been a year since Oban had ended. She hadn’t seen her boyfriend Aikka since the last day on Oban after they defeated Kanaletto and Jordon became the Avatar. Molly let out a sigh and turned her head back to face the front of the classroom. They were still studying the first French Revolution and it was getting boring listening to her teacher drone on and on about all the hangings and bloodshed

Molly’s eyes began to wander about the class. Next to her sat a girl with long blond hair that had red tips and red bangs. She had bright green eyes and she was wearing a blue tank top and black tight jeans. This was her friend Cassity Shiera. She had been one of the first few people to befriend Molly when she first came to this school. Cassity was open minded and was not quick to judge others, but she was quick to take action. If any one of their friends was ever in trouble Cassity would be right there to help them.

Molly then turned her head around and glanced at the boy who sat behind her, who was her friend Darian.

Darian was always a strange one. He had spiky midnight blue hair and reddish brown eyes. He wore a white shirt with ripped sleeves at the shoulder and baggy jeans. Darian was the only one of Molly’s friends who didn’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend and sometimes it was easy to see why. Darian wasn’t exactly the warmest or most open minded person in the world. They just took it as him secluding himself since when he was four years old his parents and baby sister were killed somehow. He never said how they were killed he would always try to avoid the subject when people asked. After his parents deaths he was adopted by the Contesa family but Darian still kept his last name of Dorena.

Molly’s eyes then looked to the desk nearest the door where Mari Contesa, Darian’s adopted sister sat. Mari had fiery red eyes and red and green hair. She was wearing a sleeveless button up blue shirt and green pants. Molly didn’t talk to Mari for she was a little on the weird side.

Behind Mari sat Molly’s friend Minaria Kou who had black hair with blight blue bangs which was up in a pony tail. She had brown eyes and was wearing a green strapless top and a purple skirt. Behind Minaria sat Minaria’s boyfriend Kailin Matsumoto. He had bleached blond hair and bright blue eyes.

“Evey.”

Molly looked up and sat her friend Leya staring at her.

“Yeah?”

“Stop day dreaming and pass the homework back.”

Molly just smirked at Leya and took the papers and passed them back to Darian. After that the bell rang signifying lunch break. Molly grabbed her stuff and left the room. She then made her way up to the roof where everyday she and her friends would eat lunch because it was relatively quiet on the roof.

Many things had happened in the one year since Oban had ended. She had started racing for her father barely a month after. Some of her friends had started a band which was getting to be a hit. She had made more friends than she could count and some of them were very high up on the social ladder.

As Molly was about to sit down on the roof she could hear voices coming up the stairs and turned to see her friends Sheska Junsen and Karine Takahashi coming up on to the roof. Sheska had green, blue, and red hair with purple eyes. She was wearing a green top that stopped at her midriff and black hip hugger jeans. Karine had purple hair with sea foam green eyes and she was wearing a long sleeve pink top that said ‘bite me’ on it and a pair of tight denim shorts. The two girls had been friends since childhood.

Almost all of Molly’s school friends were 16 except for Karine who was 15 and was to turn 16 at the beginning of April which was in 2 weeks. Also Darian and Mari were two of the oldest. They were both 17, but Darain was soon to be going on 18 in June while Mari had just turned 17. He was the oldest of the juniors in the school.

Sheska was one of Molly’s friends who was high on the social ladder. It had taken about a month for Molly to realize that Sheska was the daughter of the Earth Federations stingy old president. It actually came in handy to be friends with the presidents daughter incase anyone of there friends got in trouble.

When Sheska saw Molly she said, “Hey Evey you got here fast.”

“I left right after class. Got a problem with that Sheska?”

“No, it’s just you got up here before Tai did. Since his class is on the third floor and yours is on the first. Did you run up here?”

“I was hungry and wanted to get up here quickly.”

“So have you heard from your elusive boyfriend yet?” asked Karine

“No, I haven’t.”

“Maybe he forgot about you.”

Molly turned to see her friend Tai Takamichi who was also Cassity’s boyfriend come onto the roof.

“What makes you say that, Tai?” asked Molly

“Well the planet of Nourasia is similar to the cultures of India, China and our own Japan hundreds of years ago. Since Aikka is the prince of Nourasia I’m sure he probably has a fiancée that he is being forced to marry. So you might very well find your self dumped or if he still loves you he might make you his concubine.”

“Tai, stop filling Evey’s head with such notions.”

Tai turned and sat Cassity walk past him and over to Molly.

“Cassity, I was only telling her all the possibilities. Besides my mother just went on a trip to Nourasia since she is the Secretary of Foreign Relations.”

“So did she see Aikka there, Tai?”

“I haven’t asked her but….”

“Tai will you just be quiet.” Said Molly as she sat down, “I want to eat my lunch without people annoying me about my boyfriend.”

Tai just kept his mouth shut and sat on the ground and began to eat his bento box lunch. About 10 minutes later Leya, Darian, Minaria, and Kailin showed up and the group ate lunch in silence with tension in the air leaving the late arrivals to wonder why Molly was glaring at Tai.

Two hours later the last bell finally rang dismissing Molly and her friends from school.

As Molly walked out of the school gates her friends Minaria, Kailin, Cassity, and Darian caught up with her.

“Hey Evey do you think we could come over and go swimming?” asked Cassity

“Sure, but Darian no cannonballs please. We don’t need another mini tidal wave.” Replied Molly glaring at Darian

“Hey that was an accident!” retorted Darian

“Whatever let’s go.”

As Don was about to leave his house to go pick up Molly from school when the door bell rang. Don walked over to the door and opened it and was very startled by the person on the other side.

“Hello is Molly here?”

“No, I’m sorry she isn’t home, but please come in. She should be home soon. She probably just got out of school.” Replied Don

Aikka simply nodded and walked into the house. Don led Aikka to the living room and he and Aikka sat down on one of the many couches.

“So what brings you to earth, Prince Aikka?”

“I am here to see Molly or Eva as you call her.”

“It’s been over a year why have you come now?” asked Don

“There were many things that needed to be straightened out on Nourasia.”

“Well I hope you enjoy your stay here on earth.”

Aikka simply nodded as he looked around the room and took it all in. About 15 minutes later voices could be heard outside.

“Eva must have brought some of her friends.” Don listened for a moment, “It must be Cassity, Kailin, Minaria, and Darian.”

Don then got up and walked out of the room followed by Aikka. Don led Aikka out a back door and onto an open back deck. Aikka saw 5 teens on there hover boards in there swim suits flying around. Aikka blushed when he saw what Molly was wearing. She was wearing a tight blue bikini that had a black strip going across her breast and the top showed an ample amount of cleavage. The top was tied around her back and her neck.

Aikka then watched as Molly and Cassity both jumped off their hover boards and dove straight into the pool. They were soon followed by Minaria, Kailin, and Darian was last.

When the others were in the water Darian jumped down and as he did he pulled his body into the shape of a ball. When his friends saw this they scrambled to swim out of the way. As Darian hit the water he caused a huge splash which caused water to spray out of the pool for more than 3 feet.

When the water died down Molly swam over to Darian and yelled while hitting him on the head,

“You idiot! I told you no cannonballs!!!!”

“Hey you didn’t have to hit me, Evey.”

“You deserved it!!!”

“Will you two stop fighting.” Said Cassity pulling Molly away from Darian

“Fine I’ll stop as soon as Darian says that he will never do another cannonball!!!”

“Fine I’ll stop.” Replied Darian

“Hey, Evey are you expecting any visitors today?” asked Minaria

“No why?”

“Because your dad is standing on your porch with some Nourasia.” Replied Minaria

Molly turned and when she saw Aikka she gasped and yelled,

“Aikka!”

Molly then quickly climbed out of the pool and ran up on to the deck and hugged Aikka who hugged her back.

Molly then pulled away remembering she was soaking wet and asked, “When did you get here? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”

“I wanted it to be a surprise, Molly.” Replied Aikka

“Well it’s a wonderful surprise. Oh I want you to meet some of my friends. This is Cassity, Kailin, Minaria, and Darian. You guys this is my boyfriend Aikka.”

“So we finally get to meet you, your elusiveness.” Said Cassity, “Well Tai was wrong about one thing, he hasn’t forgotten about you.”

“Cassity, Tai is always wrong.” pointed out Minaria

“So true but I still love him.”

“Let’s go inside you guys and get changed. I really don’t want to stay in this wet swimsuit even though Aikka seems to like it.” said Molly

Molly then began to laugh as Aikka blushed a bright red as they walked back into the house. Aikka and don walked back into the living room while Molly and her friends disappeared up a nearby staircase to change back into their clothes. After about 20 minutes Molly and her friends came back into the living room. Molly sat down next to Aikka while Cassity, Minaria, Kailin, and Darian sat down on another couch.

“So Eva how was school?” asked Don who was standing in the doorway to the living room

“Boring. Nothing happened today and I was hoping that Takumi would do something brainless so I could beat him up.”

“Well I suppose your friends are staying for dinner so do you want me to order pizza or Chinese for dinner?”

“I’d say Chinese we had pizza las time.” Replied Molly

“So you want the usual beef and broccoli, mandarin platter, veggie fried rice, white rice, general sous chicken, loe main, and crab rangoons That should be enough.”

“Thanks dad.”

Don then left the room leaving Molly and her friends alone. Molly then stood up and walked over to the cabinet below the TV and asked,

“Hey while we are waiting do you guys want to watch a movie.”

“How about we watch Saw III.” Suggested Darian

“Darian I don’t think Aikka for his first time watching a movie here on earth would want to see a horror movie like Saw III.” Said Kailin, “How about we watch Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings.”

“Fine then lets watch Lord of the Rings. We watched Pirates last time.” Replied Darian

“So Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring it is.” Said Molly as she pulled out the movie from the cabinet and put it in the DVD player. Once the movie was in Molly got up and said,

“I’ll be right back I’m going to make some popcorn and get some sodas.”

Molly then left the room for the kitchen. After a few minutes Darian got up and said,

“I’ll be right back.”

As Darian was about to walk out of the room Cassity asked,

“Where are you going Darian?”

“I’m just going to call Mari for a second to tell her I’m going to be home late. Considering the first movie if over 2 hours long.”

Aikka watched as Darian left the room he noticed Cassity, Minaria, and Kailin give him a weird look be he turned back to watch the movie.

As Molly waited for the popcorn to finish popping Darian came into the kitchen.

“Evey, we need to talk.”

“Talk about what Darian?” asked Molly

“It’s about Aikka.”

“What about Aikka, Darian. Spit it out already!”

“I just don’t trust him. I mean he doesn’t even call you by your real name. Also he’s an alien and some aliens shouldn’t be trusted.”

“Darian, I’m fine with the fact that he calls me Molly, but why don’t you trust him?”

“I just don’t. His planet was once the slave of the Crogs.”

“Stop it Darian. The Crogs are dead and you’re beginning to sound like Jordon when he first met Aikka.”

“I’m only saying this to protect you. I heard what Tai said from Karine. What if Tai is right and he has only come here to break up with you because he has a fiancé on Nourasia. Do you really want to get your heart broken and possibly end up as his concubine?”

“Darian I doubt that is Aikka’s reason for coming here. And if you ever say anything bad about him for the rest of the night so help me you will find your self thrown in my pool before anyone can stop me.”

Molly then took the popcorn out of the microwave, opened it, and stuck it in a bowl and grabbed a pack of soda and quickly walked back out of the kitchen.

When Molly entered the living room she found Kailin intently summarizing the movies for Aikka.

“Okay, listen up Aikka the first movie is like this.” Kailin began to stomp around the living room, “Then the second movie is like this.” Kailin kept stomping and then jumped to the side, “And the third one.” Kailin opened his right hand and used his left one to pretend as if something was falling.

“Kailin, I think you’ve confused Aikka now.” Said Minaria trying to stifle a laugh at look on Aikka’s very bewildered face

“Whoops sorry, um the first movie they begin their quest, the second they’re still on the quest but they get side tracked because of an obstacle/detour, and the final movie their quest is over.”

Aikka slowly nodded his head in understanding but smiled when Molly sat down next to him with a bowl of popcorn and two cokes. She then handed another bowl of popcorn to Cassity along four cokes. Darian then came back into the room and Minaria asked,

“What took you so long? Was Mari giving you a hard time?”

“Yeah, she was. She was babbling on about how I should be more open, and more trusting of people. I don’t know where she got such and idea that I’m not trusting or open from.” Replied Darian as he sat down on the couch next to Kailin sending Molly a glare, which no one except Molly noticed and glared back

For the next two hours the 6 teens watched the first Lord of the Rings movie while eating popcorn and Chinese food. When the movie was finally over it was already 6:30 and it was getting dark. Kailin, Darian, Minaria, and Cassity all left Molly’s house with Molly saying goodbye to them.

After her friends left Molly picked up all the Chinese food containers and through them away along with what was left of the popcorn. After she was done cleaning Molly flopped on the couch with Aikka and began to watch the second movie.

As Cassity, Minaria, Kailin, and Darian walked down the pathway that led from Molly’s house to the main road Cassity broke the eerie silence that had come over the group by saying,

“So Darian what did you talk about with Eva when you went into the kitchen.”

“What makes you say I was talking to Eva, Cassity?” asked Darian raising an eyebrow.

“Because it is obvious that you don’t like Aikka.” Replied Cassity, “You have ever since I met you in the 6th grade have had trouble trusting people. It’s more so with Aliens than people here on earth. I remember you were on the verge of biting Asana’s head off when you found out she was getting engaged to Jehan.”

“I did not try and bite her head off.” Retorted Darian

“Well it sure sounded like you were. Besides you shouldn’t take anything Tai says so seriously. You should know by now he is wrong about 95 of the time.”

“But what if he is right this time? Have you ever though of that Cassity. He is a prince after all. He probably is engaged to some aristocrats’ daughter back on Nourasia.” Said Darian as he left the group turning left as they got to the main road while the other three turned right

“You know Darian and Tai might actually have something this time.” Said Kailin

“Not you to, Kailin.” Said Minaria looking exasperatedly at her boyfriend

“Well I won’t believe anything until there is cold hard proof that he is here to dump Eva for some crazy fiancée.” Said Cassity as she walked ahead of the group

It had been 3 hours since Molly’s friends had left and Aikka and Molly had been sitting on the couch watching the second Lord of the Rings movie. Aikka seemed to be enjoyed the movies. Don then walked in and said,

“Eva you should get to bed. You have school tomorrow remember.”

“Yeah, I know dad. I was just about to head to bed. I’ll show Aikka where his room is.”

Don just nodded and then left the room. Molly then led Aikka upstairs and showed him the guest bedroom which was right next to hers. She also showed him where the bathroom was the end of the hall. Before she left for her room she gave Aikka a quick kiss on the lips.

After Molly got into her room she quickly changed and got comfortable in her bed. She soon found her self in a dreamless sleep.

A/n: Wow that was long. Took of awhile considering I hand wrote it first and then typed it. So yeah what do you all think of this version. Please review and I’m sorry if I missed any grammar errors. I scoured this thing about 10 times and even read it out loud. So please review and tell me what you think. Also the idea for Kailin’s explanation came from my friend Alison who did the exact same thing during fourth period study today.
