Title: Something New
Summary: An Ace crossover with ... well, that would be giving too much away. So you'll have to guess.

Ace watched as it walked down the road. It seemed to be looking for something.

Better take care of it before it hurts anyone, Ace thought. He flew silently down to stand behind the thing. When he was standing on the ground, he readied a lightning bolt and yelled, "Hey, you!"

The thing jumped around and got hit straight in the face with the lightning bolt.

That should do it! Ace thought gleefully. But to his surprise, the thing wasn't hurt! Now it was actually mad! It roared and jumped towards Ace. He had to fly to get out of the way. It roared at him, even angrier now that he had evaded it.

Suddenly, something came running up quickly behind the thing. Ace thought it looked like a human with a sword, but it was moving so fast he couldn't see it properly. It jumped up and brought the sword down hard on the thing's head. The skull cracked and the thing disintegrated.

The human (maybe he was a human with super powers) landed and sheathed his sword. He was wearing strange black clothing that Ace had never seen before. He looked up at Ace.

"You can see those things, can't you?" he called up.

"Can't everyone?" Ace asked, confused. How could anyone miss the thing, it was so big and ugly? And he'd said 'those things'? There was more than one?

"No, they can't. Thanks for distracting it. Not that I really needed you to, but it made it easier for me to get it."

"Who are you? Do you know what that thing was?" Ace asked.

"I'm a soul reaper. And that was a Hollow. They eat souls. It's our job to get rid of them."

Interesting, Ace thought.

"Hey! Do you know anything about the strange things we've been hearing about lately here? And what are you? You aren't human," the guy said suddenly.

"I'm from the sixth dimension. And the strange things you've been hearing about are probably Lord Fear and his minions. Don't worry, my friends and I are taking care of them," Ace answered.

The guy sighed. "Well, they aren't Hollows, so they aren't my business." There was a beeping sound and the guy took out a mobile phone. He read the message and made an annoyed noise. "Not again!" He looked up at the sky, shook his fist and yelled, "This is supposed to be my day off!" He took off running.

That was new, Ace thought, watching him go. I wonder if Mark knows anything about these 'Soul Reapers' and 'Hollows'? He made a mental note to ask and flew away to see if Lord Fear was causing more trouble somewhere.

The crossover series was Bleach. I know I'm a bit late in editing this. I just got busy and forgot about it until now.
