Lone Night

A lone wolf ran across the forests of Virginia, it ran with no pace but for enjoyment. It was not often the wolf would run and tonight she was free to run distances instead she danced in the moonlight. Now and then she would run half way up a tree only to back flip off it and landed into a jogging pace before heading off again.

She made no sound to let her presence be known even when she wanted so badly to howl at her Mother Moon thanking her for the freedom. The wolf soon grew wary of the night for she missed her pack and needed to arrive at home before Father Sun appeared. She walked slowly to a stream drinking her full then turning toward home and setting off into a shocking race. The wolf ran enjoying the feel of the wind tinkling her beautiful golden fur matching her honey brown eyes.

She ran without stopping and came to a slow jog once the scent of the pack entered her nostrils here she was safe. Slowly jogging past a willow tree the wolf disappeared from sight and out came a girl of the age of 22 years. She wore nothing to cover her light brown skin and its nakedness from the night air, yet the cold did not bother her.

An ancient house stood before her surrounded by a white picket fence, before the porch stood inch long grass covered in earlier dew. The creatures fell silent as they watched the girl walk gracefully across the distance and enter the house before making their usual calls.
