People say she’s only in my head
It’s gonna take time, but I’ll forget
Say I need to get on with my life
They don’t realize
Jason is starring out the window in his penthouse. Liz went upstairs hours ago to go to bed but Jason can’t because everywhere h looks he sees Sam. He can see her on the couch laughing and she has been at the pool table bent over playing pool. Jason can’t take it anymore and gets his jacket and keys and leaves. He needs to go for a ride on his bike to clear his mind.
It’s when you’re dialing six numbersjust to hang up the phone
Jason gets to his bike and pulls out his cell and dials Sam’s number only to hang up before he dials the last number
Driving cross town just to see ifshe home
He rides to Sam’s home just to see Lucky’s truck parked there Waking a friend in the deadof the night
Just to hear him say it’s gonna
be all right
Jase pulls out his cell and calls Sonny. Sonny tells him that everything will be all right and the he should go back home. Jase does but finds a beer and plays pool instead of going to bed. When you’re finding things to donot to fall asleep
‘Cause you know she’ll be there
in your dreams
After he plays the game he goes back to the window to watch the sun rise.
That’s when she’sMore than a memory
The next day Jase is down at the warehouse looking at the things Sam wrote to him and then he lights a match and sets them on fire.
Took a match to everything sheever wrote
Watched her words go up in
smoke
Then Jase took all of Sam’s pictures and tore them up but he found that it didn’t help him at all and only made him miss her more then ever.
Tore all her pictures off the wallsThat ain’t helping me at all
‘Cause when you’re talking outloud but nobody’s there
“Why did you have to leave me Sam?” Jase asks out loud. “Great now I’m talking to myself.” Jase says.
You look like hell and you justDon’t care
Sonny comes in and sees Jason. His hair is longer and he has bags under his eyes and he looks like he hasn’t shaved in weeks and he looks like he hasn’t eaten in weeks either. “Jase, you look like hell.” Sonny tells him. “I don’t care.” He says.
Drinking more than you everDrank
Jason walks past Sonny and gets a beer. “How many have you had of those already?” Sonny asks him.
Sinking down lower than youEver sank
“Jase, this isn’t like you.” Jason just looks at him and than looks at the one picture he didn’t tear of Sam as he drank his beer. Sonny just got up and shook his head as he walked out of the door.
When you find yourself fallingDown upon your knees
After Jase heard the door shut he feel down on his knees and clutched the picture closer to his chest.
Praying to God, begging himPlease
Jason looks up at the sky. “Please send her back to me. I promise to make it up to her. I just need her.”
That’s when she’sMore than a memory
Jase picks his phone up and dials her number just to hang up before she could answer.
‘Cause when you’re dialing hernumber just to hang up the phone
He walks cross-town to her home only to see her outside playing in the leaves with Lucky, Emily, and Nikolas. Jase hears her laugh and turns and walks away.
Driving cross town just to see ifShe’s home
Jase calls Sonny and tells him about how he feels like he really has lost Sam for good.
Waking a friend in the deadOf the night
Sonny tells him that everything will be all right.
Just to hear him say it’s gonnaBe all right
When you’re finding things to do
Not to fall asleep
Jase continues to walk around town to avoid going home where he know Liz was and not Sam.
