A/N: I had this scene stuck in my head for the longest time now. Originally, I was going to make it into a comic strip, but it was very hard to draw Itachi in the same position for nine panels. Oh well. Warning: Itachi and Zabuza OOCness.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. If I did, Zabuza would still be alive. May his soul rest in peace.

A sandwich, a ghost, and Itachi.

Itachi and Kisame were sitting at the kitchen counter. Itachi had his elbow on the counter top, and one of his cheeks in his hand, staring off into space. Kisame, meanwhile, was busy making a beautiful sandwich. Unfortunately, he found a flaw in his creation. “Needs more mayo.” the shark-man said to himself. He placed the sandwich back on the plate and walked over to the fridge.

About a second or two later, Zabuza’s spirit appeared. Even near blind, Itachi could tell the difference between a living person and a spirit no longer among the living. So instead of going, ‘Hey, it’s an intruder. Might as well kill him.’ like usually does when he encounters a non-Akatsuki member in the hide out, he went ‘Holy crap! It’s a dead guy!’. In his head of course, since shouting things out loud very unlike him.

Zabuza turned to face Itachi and place a transparent finger to his bandaged lips. “Shh… don’t tell anyone about this.” said the dead assassin. He picked up the sandwich off the plate, and in a ‘poof’, disappeared.

Kisame walked back over to the counter, completely unaware of his late rival’s visit. Naturally, he noticed the plate was empty. He then looked at Itachi, and gave his partner a look of disapproval.

End.

A/N: Even after death, Zabuza commits evil deeds. Even though said evil deeds are rather petty compared to the ones he did in life. R&R please.
