TITLE: Viva Las Vegas

It was a hot and sunny Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, 16 year old Phil Diffy, his girlfriend Keely and his best friends Seth and Tia had just arrived at the Montecito Resort and Casino. Seth´s parents had invited the four teens to spend a weekend with them in Las Vegas.

"I can´t believe that we are really here" said Keely who looked out of the big window of the two bedroom suite, the four were staying in.

"I know it’s’ so awesome" replied Tia who stood next to Keely.

"And here we have the living room area, I hope everything is according to your wishes" said casino hostess Samantha Jane Marquez, who just came back with the boys after showing them their bedroom.

"If you have any more questions or wishes just call me, It doesn´t matter if it´s three in the afternoon or three in the morning"

"Thanks a lot we´re more than fine Miss Marquez" replied Phil.

"Perfect and you can call me Sam"

"Thanks" answered Seth playing with one of the remote controls.

"Enjoy your stay" said Sam before she left the suite and headed for the elevators where she met Danny McCoy, head of surveillance and security.

"Hey"

"Hey Sam you look kinda stressed" commented Danny

"This whale, Mr. Wosmer, who comes from some small town I´ve never heard of, just checked in, He´s the ketchup king of California, and he comes here with his wife every year but this time they brought their 16 year old son and his friends, so now I gotta play babysitter all weekend" explained Sam.

"It could be worse" replied Danny.

"Stop talking, That´s a really nice suit you´re wearing" said Sam before she gently touched Danny´s arm.

"What do you want?" asked Danny.

"Mr. Wosmer said that his son is into computers so I thought that he´d like a tour through the surveillance room"

"Anything for your whales, and their kids"

Phil, Keely, Seth and Tia were still in their suite and Seth was still playing around with the remote control and tried to find the perfect mix of light and music, when suddenly the phone rang.

"Let me answer that," said Seth and ran to the phone.

"Hello...Wow, we´d love to do that!...Ok.Bye."

"Who was that?" asked Tia

"That was the hostess chick and she invited us to a tour through the surveillance room, she said we should be at the front desk in 20 minutes," explained Seth.

"That´s so cool;" exclaimed Phil.

"That sounds really boring," said Tia.

"I don´t think I’m interested in seeing a bunch of computers and TV screens," said Keely

"Well if you don´t want to go, we´ll just do something else," said a disappointed Phil

"You can go if you want Tia and I can just do something else," answered Keely.

"You´re so awesome," said Phil and gave Keely a quick kiss.

"I know,” said Keely with a wide smile.

"So where are you guys going?" asked Seth.

"The pool?" suggested Tia

"Just what I was thinking," replied Keely.

"Ok we´ll meet you later at the pool," said Phil before he and Seth walked to the door.

"Hey, I thought she said you should be there in 20 minutes," commented Keely.

"Yes, but we don´t wanna be late and this is a big hotel," answered Phil before he and Seth left the room.

"I don´t believe this they’d rather look at some computer stuff than go to the pool with us," said Keely.

"Face it our boyfriends are geeks," replied Tia and shrugged her shoulders.

“Wow this place is massive” Seth commented as he walked out the elevator.

“Yeah it’s pretty big, I hope the girls don’t get lost on their way to the pool” Phil replied.

“They won’t and if they do I hear this place has over a thousand cameras, this tour is going to be so cool” Seth said really excited.

“Ha I hope so, now where is the front desk?” Phil asked twirling himself around as he looked.

Seth also looked around but he was puzzled, then Phil caught it out the corner of his eye.

“Oh there it is” he said slightly pulling Seth.

“So who’s this kid again” mike asked Danny as they walked down the large casino stairs.

“All Sam said was he likes computers and cameras and that his dad is really important” Danny replied.

“Right so where is Sam?” mike asked looking to Danny for the answer.

“How should I know” Danny replied looking out over to the desk.

“Danny you always know” mike replied.

“We got kids at front desk lets go” Danny said walking off.

Mike rolled his eyes and followed Danny.

Phil and Seth stood at the front desk aware that they were early, just then two guys in suits rather intimidating walked over towards them.

“Hey I’m Danny McCoy and you are” he asked holding out his hand towards Phil.

“I’m Phil diffy; this is my friend Seth Wosmer” he shook Danny’s hand.

“Well this is my friend mike cannon”

“Head of surveillance” mike cut in and held out his hand.

“Oh” Seth replied with joy and shook his hand.

“Actually I’m head of surveillance, so which one of you has the dad and which is the guest” Danny asked.

“That would be me” Phil replied aware that Seth was nervous.

“Actually it’s me” the nervous Seth cut in.

Mike and Danny smiled at each other obviously it was a sign of Phil and Seth’s friendship to take the fall for one another just like himself and Danny.

“Let’s show you boys around” mike and Danny said together.

Entering the surveillance room Seth couldn’t believe his eyes, he could see everything in the hotel, he smiled at Phil and Phil smiled back.

“What does this do?” Seth asked looking at something which reminded him of a joystick for a computer game.

“Ah now this is really good” mike said moving over to Seth.

“What’s it for?” Phil asked moving closer to mike.

“This does every guys fantasy” mike said grinning at Danny.

“Come on mike just show them already” Danny said a little annoyed.

“Ok Danny here is the perfect example he uses it to follow a one Miss Samantha Marquez” mike said grabbing hold of the remote.

“I do not” Danny said throwing himself down into a chair.

“Whatever” mike replied with a large smile.

“Now where do you guys want to go with this baby” mike asked Phil and Seth moving the camera about.

“Oh the pool, that’s where our girlfriends are” Phil said with a smile.

“Pool it is” mike replied and switched the camera to outside.

“Wow that’s amazing” Seth said scanning the pool area.

“Now which two belong to you guys” mike asked looking around the sides of the pool.

Danny slouched in his chair and flicked through some paper work.

“Oh there they are” Seth said pointing Tia and keely out on the camera.

“Pretty ladies” mike said with a smile “oh their on the move, lets follow them” he added and moved the camera with them.

“Cool” Phil and Seth said in unison.

“More than cool” Danny said then instantly shook his head as mike, Phil and Seth turned towards him “nothing” Danny shrugged.

“So what does he do?” Seth asked mike looking at Danny who had begun reading something.

“Everything Sam tells him to” mike said quietly and smiled.

“I heard that mike, and no I don’t do everything she says” Danny replied and Phil and Seth smiled and kept quiet.

Just then Sam walked into the room making all heads turn her way.

“Danny I need your help, follow me” she said and walked back out.

“Run along Danny” mike said and laughed.

Danny scowled at mike but rose from his seat.

“Move it McCoy” Sam shouted.

Danny rushed out the room.

“Told you everything she says” mike said to Phil and Seth and all three of them laughed.

“Thanks for the tour” Phil said politely.

“Your welcome guys” mike replied.

“Yeah thanks but we better go join our girls” Seth said with a smile.

The boys walked out of the surveillance room, mike went back to the camera and switched it back to the inside and placed the camera on Danny and Sam.

“Mike is always right” he said to himself and started to laugh to himself.

Sam and Danny were in the hallways that lead to the surveillance room.

"What do you want now?" asked Danny.

"Mr. Wosmer just lost a 100 grand at the craps table, and he asked me how the kids are, he wants to keep them occupied." said Sam

"We just gave the boys a tour through the surveillance room and now they are about to join their girlfriends at the pool, What about his wife she can do something with the kids" answered Danny.

"She´s at the spa and the tour is not enough; Mr. Wosmer is a bit concerned that something could happen the kids have never been in Vegas before, so I told him that you will keep an eye on them" explained Sam moving closer to Danny.

"Why should I do that?”Asked Danny.

"Because I told him that your gonna do it" said Sam before she turned around and walked away.

Danny wanted to go back to the surveillance room but was stopped by Ed Deline, president of operations at the Montecito, who just came from his office.

"Danny, why were there just a bunch of kids in the surveillance room?" asked Ed.

"Well Sam said..."

"I don´t care what Sam said, next time you are going to ask me first," said Ed.

"It won´t happen again." answered Danny.
