So I keep telling people I'm not a writer but here I am posting something I wrote. I did this for me so I really don't mind whether or not you review. That being said, if you do want to review - keep it real and honest so I know how you really feel!
Disclaimer- I don't own CBS, CSI, Jorja or Billy or their characters. I do have a couple hondas, a house and a bottle (well now half a bottle) of wine.
The sun was setting as the couple exchanged their “I Wills” and after a few snapshots the reception began. The botanical garden served as the backdrop for their wedding and butterflies were swirling all around the guests as they took part in the cocktails and hor deurs’. Catherine and Warrick are having a conversation next to the cake table. The small and simple confection is fondant-covered and shaped as a bee hive with two little bees sitting on top. A secret tribute to the day he asked (in a round about way) and a day she said yes (in a stunned but sure way). Brass strolls up with a glass of his favorite drink in his hand and points to the cake-“Who’s the Winnie the Pooh fan?” Warrick snickers… “I think Grissom must have had a part in the cake design”. “Let’s be glad it’s not a spider!” quipped Cath, gaining chuckles from those around her. “I don’t think Sara would of cared anyways” Brass noted with a smile as he pointed his head toward the newlyweds out on the dance floor. Sara is a vision in a knee-length sleeveless dress in the lightest color blue you could imagine. Her hair worn down and curly- just like she knew he loves it. There are no accessories adorning her except for the exotic lily pinned into one side of her hair. She has just enough makeup on to pull out the best of her features while maintaining her natural beauty. Grissom is looking every bit the part of a groom in his dark navy suit- his hair showing a few curls and his cheeks smooth as silk. Both lovers are lost in each other’s souls- now one soul- and dancing as close as two clothed bodies can as a slow song played for their first dance. Neither normally partaking in public spotlight- they don’t even notice that others are there in this moment. Neither dared to talk during the dance- and only as the song comes to an end does Grissom whisper into her neck those words that would be all she needed for the rest of time. “ I love you Mrs. Grissom”. Coming out of their trance by the crowd’s applause and whistles, they both turned a dark shade of pink and grinned as they stepped off the dance floor as other’s came on as a fast song began.
They ended their night with one last simple kiss in front of their loved ones and rode off into their version of forever and happy ever after. They didn’t promise each other perfection- or even the thought of it, but instead the idea that they were simply meant to be and that was enough for a lifetime.
