Epilogue.
He stepped off the plane and put on his dark sunglasses, the glare of the sun hit the private jet on a Las Vegas private airstrip. No one would ask questions this way, this way he never entered Las Vegas.
He repositioned his sunglasses, spotting the limo that had pulled up on the runway, eh smiled – even here he had contact.
He strode towards the limo, flashing a wad of cash at the driver before getting into the back, “You know where to go.”
The driver nodded, knowing not to ask any questions about the mysterious man in the dark suit and sunglasses, “certainly sir, right away sir.”
He nodded his approval and leaned back into the seat, it was time for a fresh start, a new life without any interruptions.
No one could stop him here, after all, there were no such things as super heroes in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas crime lab was buzzing with activity; both day and night shifts were working together to solve a case that was giving all those involved a major headache...
“Don’t tell me, another mysterious electrical death?” Grissom looked at the three bodies in the morgue – their latest triple homicide.
“I’m sorry Gil,” Doc Robbins told Griss, “They’re all the same as the last nine, perfectly healthy, except for one thing.”
“Electrical overload – normally only caused by lightning strikes,” Grissom muttered, “No entry or exit wounds and no source at the scene – in fact, no evidence at the scene...”
“Are you sure you’re not looking at body dumps and not actual crime scenes?”
Grissom nodded, “positive... in all my years I’ve never seen anything like this...”
“Same Here,” Robbins sighed, “and I have a feeling these won’t be the last one’s...”
Grissom nodded in agreement, “Las Vegas has a new serial killer, and we have nothing, absolutely nothing.”
“Time to go public?”
Grissom nodded sadly, “time to go public...”

“Sara, have you slept at all?” Greg questioned his team mate, walking into the break room to se Sara bleary eyed and half asleep – coffee in hand.
“What?” Sara blinked, “Um no... I’ve been here since...” she blinked again and paused, “You know, I really have no clue...”
Greg shook his head, sitting down at the table he asked, “how’s it going anyway? Found any links yet – apart from cause of death of course.”
“Well,” Sara scooted across the table to be closer to Greg, “We’ve determined that all twelve victims are large business owners – we’re talking cooperate high end, huge market share holders.”
Greg nodded, “We?” he asked with raised eyebrows.
“Nick stayed up with me,” Sara muttered with a grin, “I think he went to find Grissom...”
“Grissom’s about to hold a press conference – we’re going public.” Greg told her.
“About time to,” Sara mumbled, “twelve is a pretty extensive number.”
“Twelve?” A shocked voice came from the doorway, “I leave for four hours and we’re up to twelve?”
Cath entered the room, looking refreshed but utterly confused at what she had just overheard.
“Hey Cath, how did Lindsey’s concert go?” Sara asked, offering Cath a coffee.
Catherine gratefully took the coffee as she sat down on the opposite side of Greg, “Linds was great, she really has a talent for dancing – but enough about my amazing daughter,” Cath grinned at them both, obviously very proud about Lindsey, “What’s the deal with the new victims?”
“Same as always,” Greg told her, “exactly the same – Sara and Nick found a link though.”
“Really, do tell?” Cath asked.
Sara was about to “tell” when she was interrupted by Nick entering the break room and telling them all,
“Hey Guys, Griss wants us all at the press conference.”
“All of us?” Sara asked, “That’s new.”
“It a high profile case Sara, not to mention a headache for the Sherriff,” Nick commented with a roll of his eyes, “Do you know where Rick is?”
“He’s in trace with Hodges,” Greg told him, getting to his feet, “we’ll get him on the way.”
Catherine sighed, “I feel another double shift coming up.”
They all laughed, “Yeah Cath, I would agree with you on that one,” Nick grinned, “And Griss said this may be just the beginning...”

In down town New York, the Baxter Building sat, its majestic architecture stunning passer-by’s, home to the fantastic four and silent as a mouse before the door to the main lounge was thrown open...
Sue Storm walked through the open door into the lounge of her home – clearly frustrated.
“Sue could you please just wait and...”
“Wait?” Sur spun around on her heels and glared at Reed who had just entered after her, “I waited for you for five years Reed and then I find out that you... you!!”
Sue made a frustrated sound before throwing her hands up in the air and turning her back on Reed again.
“Wait Sue!” Reed ran after her, grabbing her arm, “let me explain, please.”
Sue’s eyes glowed with fury, “there’s nothing to explain Reed, now let go of my arm...now!”
“What’s – What’s going on?” Johnny and Ben entered the room to see Sue and Reed staring at each other.
“Let go Reed,” Sue growled through her gritted teeth, Reed did, Sue gave him a dirty look before continuing to walk away.
“Ah, Sue...” Johnny blinked as he watched his sister, he had never seen her like this before, “Sue what’s wrong?”
“Sue,” Reed called out to her, “Please, don’t you think you’re over reacting?”
Sue froze, “Over reacting... over reacting?” Her voice was iciy as she turned to face him, her face streaked with tears, “I can’t believe you! I can’t...” She looked shocked for a second, hurt even, before the fury returned to her face.
Pulling her ring of her fingers Sue threw it to the floor and yelled at Reed, “You can have that back too! Because you mean nothing to me now Reed, nothing!!” She spun on he heels as tears chocked her words.
Sue ran the rest of the way to her room – slamming the door shut in one final statement.
Reed just stared at the ring on the ground in complete shook, “I... I... I can’t believe she would...”
Ben carefully picked the ring up for him, “maybe she just needs to cool down a bit... what?”
Johnny had made a disapproving sound between his teeth, “Sue does not need to cool down,” Johnny growled, “Stretchy her must have blown it big time.”
“Johnny, you and I both know that Sue can over react and...” Reed’s voice trailed off as Johnny stormed up to him and glared right in his face.
“I have never, ever, seen Sue like that before,” Johnny whispered icily, “so I’m guessing she’s not over reacting,” he glanced at Ben and laughed coolly, “and if you did something to make her that upset, you really deserved what you just got.”
Johnny turned around, walking up to Sue’s room, almost as furious as she had been.
“Don’t listen to matchstick,” Ben muttered, trying to comfort Reed, “He really doesn’t know anything about real relationships.”
Reed sighed, “I don’t know Ben... I really... I don’t know...”
“Sue will forgive you Reed, she just has too...”
Meanwhile, Johnny had taped on Sue’s door and entered to find her sobbing on her bed.
Sue looked up when she heard him enter, “I’m – I’m sorry you had to see that I...”
“Do you want to talk about it?” Johnny asked quietly.
Sue shook her head, the tears returning to her eyes.
“How’s about a hug then?”
Sue nodded, the tears escaping her eyes to drip down her cheeks.
Johnny walked over and sat next to her on the bed, drawing her into a sympathetic hug as Sue cried on his shoulder...
