Yuna sat on her bed, wondering how it all was possible. She had spent nearly a year following clues, hunting spheres, completing missions, reuniting a pair of ancient lovers, and fighting a giant killer machina while she searched for him, and Tidus was finally back home. She could hardly believe it; even pinching herself to make sure it wasn’t another dream. She smiled as she stood up and walked out of her hut. As she walked outside, she saw that Tidus was talking to Wakka again, catching up on blitzball, no doubt. Yuna silently crept up behind Tidus and then wrapped her arms around his waist. He turned and looked down on the ex-Summoner. He hugged her back as he smiled. “I’ve missed you so much.” said Yuna.

“I’ve missed you too, Yuna.” He said. ‘I can’t believe how much she’s changed.’ thought Tidus. ‘Who would’ve thought that Yuna’d become a sphere hunter? And now she’s a Gunner? How much did I miss?’

“You didn’t miss that much.” said Yuna, as though answering his thoughts.

“How did you do that?” he asked, startled.

“Do what?”

“You know, that little mind-reading thing.”

“She didn’t read your mind, silly!” said Rikku as she nearly jumped on his back, ruining Yuna’s moment.

“Rikku! How ya been?” asked Tidus as he ruffled her hair. He couldn’t help it, she was like the little sister he had always wanted. “Great! So has Yunie told you who got a crush on her since you’ve been gone?” she asked. “Who got a crush on you, Yuna?” “Yeah, tell him, Yunie!” said Rikku, jumping up and down slightly. Yuna’s cheeks turned a light pink while she laughed nervously. “Well, Brother did.” she said. Tidus got a blank look on his face. “Brother? As in, Rikku’s Brother? Your first cousin Brother?” “Uh, yeah.” “That’s just sickening.” he said a he made a face. Rikku chuckled as she pulled on his arm. “Come on, Tidus, there are some people you need to meet!” Tidus smiled, trying to keep up with the hyper Al Bhed before she pulled his arm out of his socket. “Careful Rikku, this is my blitzing arm!” he chuckled. Rikku just giggled as she pulled him over to Paine, who was deep in discussion with Baralai. Rikku let him go. “Hey Doctor P! I want you to meet someone!” said Rikku. “Sorry about the interruption, Baralai.” said Paine, looking at Rikku as she said “interruption”. “I’ll make sure she’s dealt with later.” Rikku let out a little noise that sounded like “Susso!” before backing away slowly. Paine let out a dark chuckle before turning to Tidus. “Paine. Nice t o meet you.” she said as she shook his hand. “I’m Tidus. So has Yuna told you all about me yet?” “Yeah. She was so exited when she found that sphere with Shuyin in it. Of course, she thought he was you, but that’s beside the point. She rambled on and on about how kid, sweet, and tender you were.” Tidus blushed a little as he smiled. Yuna only talked about his good qualities.

Before he could take the conversation further, Rikku was once again dragging him away, this time towards Wakka and Lulu. It wasn’t until he got near that he saw the bundle of purple and yellow fabrics in Lulu’s arms. He was also nearly stunned to see Lulu smiling at the little bundle. Rikku let go of his arm before introducing him. “Tidus, this is Lulu and Wakka’s son Vidina!” said Rikku. Lulu just shook her head slightly at the hyper ball of blonde energy known as Rikku. Tidus looked into the bundle and saw Vidina’s face. He had traces of red hair like his dad’s, but when he opened his eyes, Tidus could see that they were Lulu’s deep red. He smiled at the baby boy, who giggled in response. “How old is he?” asked Tidus. “He’s only a week old today.” said lulu. “I never thought you’d be the maternal type, Lulu. And when did you hook up with Wakka?” “Wakka and I got married a year ago. We realized that we liked each other, and then it just clicked.” she said as she just kept smiling. Tidus then walked toward Yuna, who looked like she felt neglected.

He picked her up bridal style and kissed her feircly. When he pulled away for air, Yuna looked completely daze. Rikku let out a wolf whistle and yelled “Why don’t you two get a room?” Yuna turned an interesting shade of crimson, and Tidus carried her into her hut.
