She knew there was something different. Something...unusal about the other king sitting across the table from her. Unlike Raizen, he hadn't the muscular build or large hands. Unlike Yomi, his voice seemed fake and his face hidden.
Why were so many bandages needed? What could have happened to scar his face in such a way he would be ashamed enough to hide it? And what was with the handcuffs?
Bella didn't know. She hadn't even been queen for an entire week yet...she still knew so little. But she did know this one was different.
His general sat to his right, his eyes more than once had drifted over to Bella. He frightened her, but she knew Yomi would allow no harm to come to his love. Raizen sat at the head of the table, his general kneeling not far behind him. She could tell he wanted to intimidate the new queen and king, but for some reason she felt no fear near him. She even felt like he was a perfect candidate for a prank. She giggled softly to herself, catching her husband's attention next to her.
As the meeting wore on, Bella found herself staring at the other king across the table. He sat with majesty and sort of held a femenine atmosphere about him. She was curious about this king. He was different.
His only visible eye was wild and reminded Bella of a frightened deer ready to attack when cornered. She didn't fail; however, to notice it soften a bit on meeting the new queen.
Bella sighed and patiently waited for the meeting to subside. Yomi did most of the talking, as she was too uninterested to put forth her two cents. She had grown use to Raizen's deep voice and pierced general's constant lustful stare.
But as they departed for home, her thoughts trailed back to the other king. Bella finally smirked and grabbed hold of her husband's hand. Knowing she was up to something, Yomi gently squeezed her fingers.
Before leaving once and for all, Bella turned and unexpectingly waved a friendly good-bye to the other king as he departed with his general. He awkwardly stared at the new queen. Bella giggled and rushed to re-join Yomi. She wasn't all that sure about the idea when they first became queen and king, but now she was confidant it would work...since Yomi and Raizen had yet to know...that she wasn't the only queen ruling over Makai.
