I am doing a challenge over a community in LJ and they 50 prompt to write. So I came up with a little story. Snippets of a larger story really. But I hope you like it. Here is the first snippet of the story.

Prompt 45. Curse

Ichigo/Rukia

The night was dark and the stars shone brightly like beacons of silver fire. A cry was heard amongst the burning fire and blood.

“NOOOO!!!!” The little boy screamed desperately as they tore him from his dead mothers side. “Mommmyyyyy!!!!!!! Let me go!!!! Mommmyyyyy!!!!!!!!!”

Rukia, who stood a few feet away, closed her eyes and turned her head from the heart wrenching sight. Ichimaru and Tousen carried the boy away and placed him before Aizen who held a black orb in his hand. He smiled and the orange haired boy screamed as the black orb was inserted in his eye. He convulsed and then stilled as he collapsed on the ground.

“Was it successful?” Ichimaru ask and Aizen smiled.

“Yes, the boy was a success. With proper breeding the demon inside him will become unstoppable,” Aizen answered and then left leaving Urahara and Rukia to take the boy and placed him under Yamamoto’s care.

Rukia placed her hand on the boy’s forehead and then caressed his cheek. Another one under the curse, she thought. A tear slipped past her eye and landed on the boy’s cheek. Unknowns to her the demon licked his lips inside the boy.
