Good Enough
Under your spell again.
I can't say no to you.
Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand.
I can't say no to you.
Arya screamed and slammed her fist against the mirror, shattering it. Sobs wracked her body as she stared helplessly at her distorted image in the fragmented mirror. Dark Violet, almost burgundy colored blood dripped down her hand. Arya let out a gut-wrenching sob, as she staggered back against the green tiled wall and slid to the floor. rebuild
Shouldn't have let you torture me so sweetly.
Now I can't let go of this dream.
I can't breathe but I feel...
She honestly didn’t know what was worse. Being pregnant with that bastards child, or having the man she loved more than anything try to kill her.
Good enough,
I feel good enough for you.
Maybe Lhikan was right. Maybe she wasn’t good enough for love. Maybe she truly didn’t deserve happiness. She always knew that her ‘Father’ hated her, she just could never figure out why. But now, now she knew. She now knew why Lhikan could hardly stand to even look at her. It was because she wasn’t his daughter. She was a Darkhunter’s. A murderer’s.
Drink up sweet decadence.
I can't say no to you,
And I've completely lost myself, and I don't mind.
I can't say no to you.
But not just any Darkhunter. She was the daughter of Nidhiki. Ex-Toa Mahi of Air. A Toa who used to be on Lhikan’s team. But then he betrayed Metru-Nui, and was banished, along with his girlfriend, and Arya’s mother, Krystal. Years later, Nidhiki killed Lhikan’s brother, Shruikan, his wife, Nina, and poisoned his fiancée, Kaylani in cold blood. She died they day before they’re wedding.
Shouldn't let you conquer me completely.
Now I can't let go of this dream.
Can't believe that I feel...
Arya pulled the small figure close to her. Keira. Onewa’s daughter. Arya was shocked that the Stone Toa had left his only child on Metru-Nui, but she brushed the feeling off. He didn’t care, so neither did she. She would raise the kid. Teach her to defend herself, train her to use her elemental power…and give her the childhood Arya never had. She toyed with an auburn curl, and a soft smile played across her lips. Arya set the six-year-old down on the small make-shirt bed, and slipped out of the room, picking up a few items of the splintered dresser.
Outside, she snapped her fingers and a small flame issued from them. Arya leaned forward and lit the cigarette, inhaling deeply. She idly wondered when Natay was coming back. She had left a month or so ago on a mission to kill some evil guy called Anubis. She dropped the joint with a yell of shock as there was a bright flash, and a toddler appeared before her.
Good enough,
I feel good enough.
It's been such a long time coming, but I feel good.
A note was pinned to the front of the soft orange blanket surrounding the child. Arya reached forward and took the note. Her violet eyes widened in horror as she scanned the note.
Natay Mahi was dead.
Arya felt sick. Her godmother, her only living relative was gone. After only a year of knowing her…
Arya nearly dropped the note, however, when she read that the kid was, in fact, Natay’s daughter. Her name was Nicole Naterdrea Mahi. Age two. The reason the Great Being’s had saved the child was because she would one day save the world, and the Great Spirit, Mata Nui.
“Holy f…” Arya murmured. She glanced up at the child began to stir. Wide liquid sapphire blue eyes looked up at the Elemental Toa sleepily. Arya unconsciously took a step back. She felt as if someone had punched her in the gut. She was looking into the eyes of Keira Metru. The same sapphire eyes she had inherited from her Father. Onewa Metru.
‘She fucked Onewa?’ she thought, taken aback.
Nicole cooed, and with difficultly, sat up. Arya’s eyes softened, and she reached down, and scooped the toddler up.
“You know, you’re kinda cute.” Arya murmured softly as Nicole curled up against her chest.
And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall.
Pour real life down on me.
'Cause I can't hold on to anything this good enough.
Am I good enough for you to love me too?
Arya squeezed the girl gently. “I’ll keep you safe. I promise.”
And so Arya Metru now had another ‘daughter’ to raise. Little did she know, that by the same time next year, she would be raising her own four daughters, and about eight orphaned children of other Toa. They kept her strong, her love for them was enough for her to want to straighten up her life. And you know what?
So take care what you ask of me,
'cause I can't say no.
She did.
