Disclaimer: I do not own the Jonas Brothers.
“You’re an idiot. You know that right?” Kevin said.
Joe just sat there staring at the floor. He knew it was a stupid thing to do, but he felt he had to and nothing could change what you had to do. Not even love.
He cringed at that word. Love. What a horrible word. He couldn’t even take to think about love. It always sent him thinking about Peyton and that was something he just couldn’t do.
Ever again.
“She hates me,” Joe said still staring at the floor.
“Did she say that?” Kevin asked. When Joe told him what happened, he couldn’t believe it and he still couldn’t. Kevin thought Peyton had a right to hate his brother.
“No, but I know she thinks it,” Joe mumbled. He hated talking about Peyton, but he had to talk to someone.
“Not to be like mean or anything,” Kevin began, “But don’t you think she has a right to hate you?”
Joe just looked at Kevin in shock for a second. Then finally he realized Kevin was right. Peyton should hate him. He hated himself anyway.
“I’m sorry Joe,” Kevin said as he got up to leave Joe alone.
“Me too,” Joe practically whispered.
He held back tears until Kevin left and then was shocked when they fell down. He didn’t cry over girls, but that was just it. Peyton wasn’t just some girl. She was the girl. The only girl and because of his stupidity she was gone.
And this time, she wasn’t coming back.

Peyton’s P.O.V.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Peyton mumbled as she recognized the guy sitting next to her. It was the same guy that talked to her last time. The one that made her realize that she couldn’t leave Joe.
“Sorry, I fly a lot,” the guy replied, “You look upset again.”
Peyton just rolled her eyes and looked out the window.
“Not to be mean or anything,” the guy said, “Just stating a fact, but please tell me it's not over the same guy.”
“One, this is none of your business. Two, I don’t care about your facts. And three, it is the same guy. Yes, I am the most idiotic person on the face of planet,” Peyton said.
“Actually, I think this guy would be the most idiotic person on the face of the planet if you ask me,” the guy said looking at a magazine.
“I wasn’t,” Peyton replied.
“Well, then I’m just stating facts,” the guy replied.
“What are you reading anyway?” Peyton said pulling the magazine to her.
“Just about some guy in a band and his unknown girlfriend,” the guy said, “She’s probably really ugly and doesn’t want to show her face.”
He laughed at his stupid joke.
“Probably,” Peyton mumbled looking away.
“I wonder what she had to do to get with him,” the guy said smiling as he read the magazine.
“You know you don’t know anything about them so you should just stick to stating facts,” Peyton said annoyed, “And your own life if you don’t mind.”
“Well, it’s not bothering you is it?” he replied.
“Actually, yes it is,” Peyton said.
“Why? These people have nothing to do with you,” he said, “Unless you have some close personal relationship with Joe Jonas.”
He had to look back at the magazine to find the name.
Peyton just looked at him and then finally started looking out the window again. Peyton was starting to hate this guy who kept on stating facts.
Peyton just wanted to crawl in a hole and leave the world behind. This stupid world that just kept on getting worse.

2 hours later…
The stupid phone that Joe gave her started ringing. She hated that phone. It always reminded her of Joe. Of course it would. He did give it to her.
All she had to do was keep a strong hold on her cell phone and none of this would have happened.
Wasn’t that great to think about?
“Hello?” Peyton said.
“It’s Nick,” Nick said.
“Oh, hey Nick,” Peyton said, “Did you hear anything of Destiny?”
“No, sorry,” Nick said, “But you said you would call when you got home and you never did.”
“Sorry, I just got off the plane and I totally forgot,” Peyton replied.
“Well, Jo… I mean I was worried,” Nick said and then he said Ow like someone hit him. Peyton just closed her eyes and tried not to think about the person that probably caused Nick to say Ow.
“Sorry,” Peyton said, “But I’m fine and please call me if you hear anything.”
“I will the second we do,” Nick replied.
“Well, hope to hear from you soon,” Peyton said.
“Yea, me too,” Nick said and they hung up.

With the Jonas’…
“Sorry,” Nick said as Joe gave him an evil look.
Joe rolled his eyes and then saw Kevin rolling his eyes at him. Kevin was older and wiser, but clearly annoying.
The annoying part was that Kevin was right.
“I just don’t get it,” Nick said, “Why would she leave now? When we don’t know anything about Destiny.”
Kevin gave Joe a look that Nick didn’t see.
Nick waited when no one answered.
“You don’t know?” Nick asked, “Or you don’t want to tell me?”
“I don’t know,” Joe said, “I guess things just weren’t working out between us.”
Kevin wanted to smack Joe in the head, but held himself back. He would “beat him up” later.
“That doesn’t make any sense,” Nick said, “You guys were great last time I saw you.”
“Well then I guess you weren’t really looking,” Joe said staring at the magazine in his lap.
Nick just shrugged his shoulders and thought about Destiny. It was the only thing he could do. Wait and think about Destiny.
Kevin was trying to figure out Joe’s motives and Joe was pretending to read an article in a magazine. He was truly focusing all of his energy on not thinking about Peyton.
The three guys were silent in deep thought. It would have been comical if they weren’t sitting in a waiting room.
