Yeeeeah, I know I’m bad, I am sooo bad about updates but this story can be a continue or a one shot depending on how many reviews I get. I am looking for five at least, per chapter if it is continued. :D This is post-Eclipse.

I was running, running hard, still a werewolf. I was in so much pain! Why wouldn’t my chest stop hurting? It was like it was splitting in two—or was that my heart? Bella…she’d done this to me when she chose the filthy bloodsucker over me! I love her…she said she loves me but—why the bloodsucker?! She’d damned herself to a life with a bloodsucker…More tears, I’m going blind from this pain! Why won’t it stop?!
Maybe—if I was imprinted this pain would go away…but I don’t know if it will ever pass…Bella was my soul mate! I ran until the area was unfamiliar, sure I was in the woods and I could follow my trail back but I didn’t…I would just wander, crawl into a corner and die. Then no one would have to see me like this…
“Daddy! Let’s make camp over here!” called a girl’s voice. From how it sounded, she couldn’t’ve been much younger than I am. I peered through the forest to see. It was hard to see through tears.
“Sure, Jo, this looks like a good spot. Jeez, sometimes I could swear you’re a boy with how much you love this camping stuff!” he laughed. A pinecone was promptly thrown at him and it bonked off of his head. The girl and her father laughed. “You throw like one, too!”
“Daddy!” she whined, her voice was sweet as a bell. I immediately fell in love with it. I could feel my body calming, I was able to change back, finally. I threw my pants back on in a hurry—people were around, after all.
I couldn’t see as well, but from what I could see, the girl had chin-length dark brown hair, her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue-gray, they were hard to look away from. A wave of emotion came over me—it was more than my heart skipping a beat or time stopping and for a second all of my pain went away. When I was back, it was there again and I scowled at myself. There was something about this girl—why did I suddenly want to know--…
“Imprint!” I gasped.
The girl looked up and glanced around in the trees in my general direction.
“What is it, Jocelyn?” he father asked, a little concerned.
“Huh…must’ve been a bear or something…” she replied.
“A bear?!”
“Kidding, Dad.” She laughed. “I was faking you out!”
“Well, while I pitch the tent why don’t you go and gather some firewood? Stay close.”
“I will, Daddy.” She replied, rolling her eyes slightly, “I’m not a little kid, y’know.”
“I just don’t want my baby getting hurt.”
“Okay, if it weren’t for the fact that you were actually camping, I’d say you sounded like Mom!” she laughed.
“Too bad she hates the wilderness!” he agreed. They laughed and she headed out into the wood.
It was weird, I felt like there was an invisible force—pulling me to her. I stepped out into view of her when she came near and she stared at me unfazed.
“I thought I heard someone…” she muttered, looking annoyed and defensive.
I threw my hands in front of me in defense. “No, I—I was running and I…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for it to look like I was spying…”
“Hm…” she sounded skeptical. “Are you a lost camper? Where are you from?” she asked. “What’s your name, by the way?”
“Jacob Black…I’m a Quilette from La Push.”
“Heh…you’ve come a long way…you’re in Cheney…” she breathed, a little shocked. “Did you drive up here, is that what you meant by saying you ran?” she asked.
“It’s…complicated…” I mumbled but I managed a grin. “So…who’re you?”
“Jocelyn Fascino. I’m actually from Port Angeles, so, I don’t live too far from there.” she said with a smile.
“Small world.”
“No kidding!” she laughed. “Hey, you came alone, right? You wanna have dinner with my father and me?”
“Sure!” I replied enthusiastically. I’d do whatever she wanted me to because I knew she was destined to be mine forever.
“Great! Help me with firewood and we’ll call it even for giving you food!” she laughed.
I grinned. “No prob and I can hunt if you’d like, too.” I offered.
“Actually…I’m a vegetarian…but Daddy eats meat so…only if you want to.”
“Well, I don’t want to waste any of your supplies!” I defended. She laughed again, clear as a bell.
“Silly, there’s a center not to far from here that doubles as a convenience store, we’re good to go!” she informed. “Besides, we wouldn’t want you getting lost!” she insisted. I grinned—it seemed to be a habit around her, grinning. “C’mon!” she called, heading toward her camp after we’d both gathered a fair amount of firewood.
“Daddy!” she called. Her father peered over from his truck bed, he was unloading their duffels into the tent. “Well, well, who is this?” he asked in a friendly but suspicious manner.
“Daddy, this is my friend Jacob Black, he lives in La Push and he’s camping here, too!” she said excitedly.
“Really now? You came camping all by yourself? How old are you anyway?” he asked, still skeptical.
“Sixteen.” I informed proudly, I was well aware of how old I actually looked, though.
“So he’s only a year older than me!” Josie beamed. Fifteen? That wasn’t so bad!
“Hm…”
“Sorry, if I’m intruding!” I apologized. “I can go if you’d like--.”
“Don’t be silly! Stay for dinner!” Josie offered enthusiastically.
“Jocelyn--.” Her father started.
“Relax, Daddy, it’s only dinner!” she insisted.
Well—at the very least I could say dinner was awkward but after a few minutes her father and I began to really get along. He invited me to stay for a bit longer and roast s’mores. As I did, I told them a few legends—they, of course, would never believe them and then I took my leave.
“Waiiiit!” Jo called. It was dark and I sighed a little but I was glad she was eager to make me stay as long as she could. “Before you go, I want to give you my cell number!” she insisted, grabbing my wrist and etching it into my palm with perfect penmanship. I tried to do the same into her palm, giving her my number.
“I don’t have a cell, actually, but that’s the house number.” I said. She nodded and grinned before dashing back to the fire lit camp. It was dark so I watched after her before turning back into a werewolf and running back toward home. The run seemed shorter as my thoughts were focused on the girl. I would definitely wait for her call! It wasn’t until the others were back in my head questioning me about Bella and who Josie was, that my chest hurt again. Was I really so fickle as to cast Bella aside already? Ouch. I was heartless.
