A poem based on chapter 34, of Vampire Knight, story and art by HINO Matsuri.
It was midnight, I should have slept.
But I cannot, because it kept haunting me.
Those illusions, those bloods haunted me.
It scared me, and I don’t know what to do.
He came to my room, asking if I am alright.
Through fear, I suddenly tried to strangle him.
He closed his eyes, surrendering to me.
And I suddenly snapped out of it,
wondering why I did it like that.
The story changed elsewhere, to the vampires.
The meeting between them, who are blood-related.
He said something of the past, and the other attacked.
But he was defended, afraid of injuring the body.
He continued with his tale, and hinted about her.
And shortly after that, he disappeared in a flash.
She was crying, still afraid of the blood and illusions.
Until he came, and carried her elsewhere for safety.
They hid, far away from everybody’s eyes.
He gently put her on his lap, looking at her with gentle eyes.
She was trying to reach the skies, but closed it over her heart.
He looked at her eyes, and did the honorable thing.
He bit her, as she closed her eyes.
How it was a romantic tale, and as I, the reader, could have shed a tear.
