Prince Komali of the Rito Tribe stood on the small rock ledge of Dragon Roost Island, in his left hand he held a pink daisy, in his right he held a sealed envelope. The envelope and daisy were for Medli, who the Prince was going to pledge his love to! Or at least try. But the poor Prince was so overcome by nervousness he could barely stand.
Medli, whom had just recently come back from the Earth Temple, now that Ganondorf had been sealed, stood playing her golden Harp on the rock ledge higher above Komali. She was playing the only song she ever did now, the Earth God’s Lyric. It was such a beautiful song, Komali smiled, but he still couldn’t relax. He couldn’t. He was about to tell Medli, but he was too nervous. “I… I can’t d-do this!” Komali cried. He quickly dropped both the daisy and the note onto the ground and dashed off to his room. Going to mentally kick himself or practice his love speech.

Quill the Rito Postman came onto the rock ledge that Komali once stood on, it had been a busy day of delivering mail and he was ready to relax. He was about to walk up the ledge that lead into the Central Rito Mailroom, also known as his home, when he saw a pink daisy and a sealed envelope. Quill glanced at it, before he picked up the letter, he left the daisy for it had wilted. He turned the envelope over in his tanned hands and read the letters written in red ink on the back. They read, “To Medli, from Prince Komali.” Quill smiled. He knew Komali was finally going to do it! But he seemed to need some help. Quill grinned a huge grin, perhaps it was not too late!
----
“Link,” Quill said politely. “I, and Prince Komali need a bit of help.”
Link nodded, he had not yet left Outset with Tetra and her pirates yet to find a new Hyrule and Quill was happy to have caught him at the right time.
There was a reason Quill needed Link. He needed Link because Medli liked Link more then Quill, and the whole idea of Quill giving Medli a love letter might give her the wrong idea of Komali.
“Thank you, Link,” Quill said, happily clapping Link a little hard on the back. “This will mean a lot to Komali. Now, I’ll fly you to Dragon Roost. OH! And could you pick a flower before you go?”
Link nodded, then he quickly turned and ran off.

Medli stood on a high rock ledge, standing there, facing the open sea, playing the Earth God’s Lyric. She stopped for a minuet and let the sun soak her pale skin. She lowered her harp and stared out into the vast ocean. In the distance she saw Fire Mountain, and a few islands whose names were unknown to Medli. She was about to raise her harp and continue playing her harp and she thought she heard footsteps. She turned and looked around. Nothing… odd. She was about to turn when she saw a envelope and a bouquet of pastel blue, yellow, and pink daises next to it. Medli cocked her head to one side. Putting her harp behind her back, she walked over to the envelope and bouquet. She lifted the bouquet up along with the envelope. She lightly opened up the envelope and took out a piece of paper. In red ink, it note read:
Dear Medli:
I have always wanted to say this; ever since I first saw you, I always knew… I loved you. I used to be childish and a big… baby. But you were there, you never left. I acted like a big jerk when I was a scared little kid, but you were there. I guess you could say… this is a love note. Because Medli, I love you. I couldn’t dream of a world without you, I honestly couldn’t. When you vanished, I thought you left me, I did. I wanted to give you a flower, but I couldn’t. I’m sorry if I hurt you, and I want to make it up. But Medli, I love you. I do now, and I always will. Perhaps we are to young to love, but I still love you. And I hope… this letter proves it too. Medli, don’t ever change. Please, always be who you are. Because Medli, that is why I love you.
Prince Komali.
Medli’s eyes filled with tears. Prince Komali had said so many words, when all he needed were three. She took the letter and flowers and dashed to Prince Komali’s room.
----
Prince Komali stood with his back to the door, staring at some of his plush toys from early childhood. They reminded him of what he was, a child. He was angry with himself, he was about to slam his toys onto the floor when Medli dashed into the room. He gasped and half turned to find Medli throwing her arms around him, holding a bouquet of daises and a note. “I love you too!” she cried, eyes filled with tears.
Prince Komali threw his own arms around Medli, and hugged her. Laughing, he looked on past Medli and saw Link, standing in the open doorway, a big grin on his face.
