Hello! So sorry it took me so long to get this up. I know a lot of you have been waiting anxiously for it and again, I’m sorry. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter, again, I am so sorry it took me so long.

Chapter 2:

Sixteen Years Later

In memory of the great hero Hercules

A loving husband and father

And a hero unlike any other

Sophia ran her fingers over the inscription on the statue of the statue of the man that it described. She looked up at the tall statue, there was something about it, something familiar but she couldn’t put her finger on it. Sophia sighed, as she looked down. She wondered who his wife and child were. She didn’t know much about this hero except for the fact that he did many great things and that he died when trying to save the world once again.

“Sophia!” Sophia jumped and whirled around to see the stocky goat man named Phil marching towards her.

“Phil,” Sophia breathed. “I was just on my way to the coliseum.” She said.

“Yeah, yeah, save it,” Phil replied as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the coliseum.

“I just got side tracked,” Sophia said.

“You do everyday,” Phil retorted. Sophia bit her lip. He was right. There was something so familiar about that statue, like it was from a past life. Every time she passed it on the way to the coliseum, she always stopped at the statue and stared at it, hoping to figure out why it was so familiar. Sophia sighed as she allowed Phil to drag her to the coliseum for intense training.

“Can’t you tell me anything about my father or Hercules? My mother doesn’t have to find out about it.” Sophia begged to Phil as she lifted a weight above her head effortlessly. She was super strong. She didn’t know where she got it from, just that she has had it since birth.

“Enough talk, more lift.” Phil ordered. Sophia huffed as she continued lifting the weight. No one would tell her anything! All she ever got was ‘he died before you were born’. It was frustrating. Sophia wondered if Hercules was her father but she never found out about him either, just that he died a long, long time ago, way before she was born, even before her mother was born so that ruled him out as an option. Maybe she was a descendent of his? You know, maybe?

Sophia sighed as she finished her last rep and put the weight down.

“Are we done yet?” She asked Phil.

“No we are not done,” Phil replied, putting his hands on his hips. “There is still a lot more training to get done.” Sophia glared at him before sitting down.

“I’m not doing anymore training until you tell me about my father.” She said, folding her arms across her chest stubbornly. Phil opened his mouth but Sophia stopped him, knowing what he was going to say. “And more then just the ‘he died before I was born’ story. Seriously, that gets old.” Phil sighed and looked down, he looked sad.

“Never mind, kid.” Phil said. “We are done training for today.”

“Phil,”

“Just go,” Sophia threw a concerned look over to her teacher, coach and friend before standing up and walking out of the coliseum. That was always how he looked whenever she asked about her father. Sophia sighed before she headed back towards her house.

Sophia bit her lip as she tossed a salad for dinner. She wanted to ask her mother about her father again. She knew she’d get the same answer she did everyday from everyone; ‘he died before you were born’. She didn’t even know why she bothered any more but she couldn’t stop the words from spilling out of her mouth.

“Mom,” she began.

“Yes?”

“Could you, um, tell me about…dad?” Sophia heard her sighed and bit her lip again.

“Sophia how many times must we go over this?” Meg asked.

“Please mom,” Sophia begged, turning around to face her mother with her pleading, blue eyes.

“No,”

“But mom why not?”

“Because I said so.”

“But it’s not fair!”

“Sophia, do not argue with me!” They glared at each other before Sophia turned back to the salad. It wasn’t fair. She had a right to know about her father! They didn’t have a right to hide him from her. Sophia licked her lips. She would have to find out about her father by herself. But how would she do that, exactly? Sophia sighed as no ideas popped in her head. Was there someone out there who really didn’t want her to know about her father?

Alright guys, at long last, there it is! I really hope you enjoyed it.

One more thing, I want to put up a new story and I have a poll with some of the stories I have on the waiting list and I want to put one of those on after I have updated all of my stories at least once. So, go to my page and on my profile, near the bottom, there are some stories with their fandom and the pairings that they have and then go vote for the one you want. Alright, that’s it, R&R please!

Next story to be updated; Harry Potter Twisted!
