hey guys!! sorry i haven't updated in a while but i lost my fanfic note book and had to re-write this so its re-done exept for the first two chapters. just to clear every thing up this is set the year AFTER the Christmas Party. Its June by the way. so it the June After the Party!! They are all just re-meeting for a summer celebration. Tamara is now almost 2 years old. KEY PIONT: this is sat about 203 years after Gabriel and Lucian were trapped in the ground. Tamara has just turned 2 so Gabriel has only been awake for 2 and a half years. remember that it will help you out. and BTW Skyler is Razvan's daughter in this.

Dark Surprises

All Carpathians had gathered together in their homeland to once again celebrate a reunion. Not a holiday reunion (pretend it’s June) just a “family” reunion. As the sun set over the mountains Gabriel Daratrazanoff rose from the earth and woke Francesca, who was sleeping next to him.

“Good morning love.” he whispered as he clothed them and pulled her to him, teasing as his teeth scraped along the pulse.

“Don’t even start Gabriel. Thanks to you I didn’t get any work done.” Francesca said trying to push him away.

“I just want to spend some time and talk with you.” he said pulling her closer, looking into her eyes.

“Yeah well that’s what you say I’ll the time and all it leads to is a replay of last night. Now I’ve got work to do so..” she said pulling away and walking to the chamber door looking over her shoulder “if you really want to talk to someone go talk to one of your brothers.”

“Oh please, Gregori can’t handle anymore stress right now. He has his hands full with Miley and Amber right now and Savannah’s mood goes between her motherly instinct and wanting to strangle Gregori for not letting her do anything.” Gabriel said following her to Tamara’s room.

“I would bet she is. Miley and Amber are 4 months old and Gregori still won’t let her leave the house alone. Now like I said before I have work to do so go talk to either Lucian or Darius.” She said picking Tamara up and walking down to the den. “Can you put her in her play pen please?” she asked handing the toddler to Gabriel, who placed her into the pen as Francesca pulled out the stained glass piece that she’d been working on the night before.

“Darius is to busy with trying to keep Tempest from killing him and destroying everything in sight. I’ll tell ya, she has the worst case of mood swings I’ve ever seen in a pregnant woman. By the way did mention that it’s a boy? I bet Darius is silently saying to himself ‘only 6 more weeks and it will all be over’. And on top of that he’s still trying to figure out ways to get rid of Julian.” He laughed. “And I would go talk to Lucian but ever sense Jaxon became pregnant 2 months ago she’d been over protective of him and her mood swings are violent. She’s almost as bad as Tempest is and just so you know I do value my life and I’d like to keep it. Speaking of women where is Skyler?” he asked raising his eyebrows.

Francesca didn’t look up as she replied, “ She and Dimitri went out to look for some wolves.” Gabriel growled when she said Dimitri’s name. Francesca sighed, “ Gabriel, when are you going to realize that he’s her lifemate and you can’t change that?”

“ She’s been spending a lot of time with him and I don’t like it.” He said looking at Tamara. Then looked back over to Francesca as she got up and walked over to him placing her arms around his waist.

“Ever sense she and Dimitri sat down and talked one on one, her confidence on herself and her trust in him has improved.” She said looking into his ice black eyes. “ She trusts you with her life and follows you. When you get upset or angry with Dimitri she feels like if you can’t trust him neither should she. Just give him a chance and get to know him. He’s her lifemate he isn’t going to hurt her." she said placing her hands on his cheeks placing her lips on his and whispered. “ Now go do something and leave me be.”

Gabriel was about to deepen the kiss when a loud “thud” came from outside the front door. “Stay here.” He whispered and hid a compulsion in the command to make sure she stayed there. He scanned the area and found nothing. He opened the door and imbedded in the siding next to the door was a note attached to the wall with a black and silver dagger. “What the hell?” he said pulling the dagger free and read the note.

FOUND YA!! WATCH YOUR BACK!! (A/N: picture this in fansy writing!!)

Those five words were above a symbol that Gabriel knew. A bold black capitol D with a silver lightning bolt through it. Gabriel’s eyes widened in shock as he stared at the symbol. That symbol was the same symbol that only cretin people in his family used.

“Gabriel what is it?” Francesca asked with fear in her eyes.

“I don’t know.” He whispered taking his eyes off the note and looking around.
