We must hurry! They are waking." A male voice spat, almost in a whisper. "Kana, we cannot rush this!" Hissed another, he continued in a softer tone, "If we rush, the cores will not fuse properly, and oh, what a mess we would have then." He slightly shook his head. The man, known as Kana, continued with his work, almost like he hadn't heard the other man. Kana continued to type away, a beeping sound filled the air. "Kana! I told you! Stop it! NOW!" The second man shouted. Clenching his teeth, Kana continued. "Kana! Stop!" He shouted, making a grab for Kana's wrist, and pulled him away from the computer. Falling back into a chair, Kana began to laugh. "Your too late Miho!" Kana's crazy laughter filled the air. The second man, now known as Miho, started typing away. "Dammit Kana, shut up!" he growled.

The laughter suddenly stopped, "Wh-What are you doing Miho?" Miho turned around, "Fixing your mistake!" he growled with anger in his voice. "Miho, you fool! You cannot stop it!" Kana stood and grabbed Miho's shoulder and tried to pull him away from the computer. Miho spun around and backhanded Kana across the face. There was a look of shock on Kana's face, had the normally peaceful Miho really hit him? Snapping back to reality, Kana grabbed Miho's shirt collar and lifted him about a foot in the air. A smirk appeared on Kana's normally angry face. The younger man struggled to break Kana's grip on his clothing, but it was no use. "Y-You..." Was all Miho managed to choke out.

Suddenly, a blinding light filled the room. It was distraction enough for Miho, who kicked Kana in the stomach. He fell to the ground with a thud, gasping for air. Miho then looked up, and noticed what the light was from. Five tubes, glowing a bright green. The light now showed what the dark room looked like. Aside from the five glowing tubes, there were a bunch of empty ones lining the wall as well. Along with the computer in use, there were three more.

The two men were still staring at the tubes in disbelief. In each of the five tubes, was what looked like a child. They we floating in what looked like water, and the looked as if they were sleeping peacefully. "Miho?" The older partner asked, in a whisper, as if he would wake the children if he spoke any louder. "Yeah, Kana?" The younger partner replied. Both of the men stood. Miho was staring at the ground, with a look of sadness on his face. Kana put his arm around him in an attempt to make him feel better.

"It's... It's begun."
