Summary: A slight AU of “Truth and Consequences”. What would happen if Sylar didn’t call Mohinder from his house. Slight Mohinder/Sylar and Mohinder/Matt.

“All right,” Mohinder says, hanging up the phone. Matt follows him as he crosses the room to his bed, tossing a bag onto the rumpled blankets.

“I don’t – I don’t know why, after everything that he did to you, and to Molly that you are so willing to just run back into his waiting arms whenever he calls!” Matt hisses, glaring at Mohinder.

Mohinder shoves past him, carefully folding the shirts he’s holding and placing them into his bag.

“I’m hardly running into his arms. He has someone with him who needs help. A girl.”

“And what about us? What’s Molly going to say when she realizes that you’ve gone off with the bogeyman?” Matt’s voice rises slightly.

Mohinder glares; zips up his bag. “If I go with him, occupy him, he’ll be too busy to go after you two.”

“Mohinder,” Matt says. When Mohinder turns to look at him, he continues. “Are you doing this for us? Or for you?”

Mohinder’s reply is in the shadows under his eyes and the slammed door.
