First Snow

“It’s the first snow,” he said bluntly, making his companion look up at him.

“What do you mean?” his partner asked with a quizzical expression on his face.

“Since we’ve been together,” he replied, walking further into the white powder, turning his face into it. The flakes melted on contact with his skin. “This is the first snow since then.”

“Your point?”

“Does there need to be one?” he retorted.

He didn’t answer, just stood there silently.

Kurama walked over to Hiei then and leaned down. “I think we need to mark this occasion with something.”

And he kissed him.
