A/N: I had the sudden urge to write a descriptive piece of work. It turned into a Dasey one-shot so here it is:
The Many Words for Beauty
The streets could no longer be seen. They had been hidden beneath a thick, fluffy layer of frosty white substance called snow. The golden sun above shone its rays down onto the surface causing it to glitter and shimmer a dozen rainbows. The site was almost blinding as it was so pure and bright that you almost had to close your eyes if you wanted to go out to explore. The weather was cold and frigid. Not a single soul could go out without surely freezing to death in shorts and a T-shirt. The wind was icy and the breeze carried the snowflakes as if they were passengers on a subway train. When the flake had contacted with the rosy, pink color of your cheek, it prickled but the burning sensation went away as the passenger melted into a droplet of water that dribbled downward, plunging into the ground below.
I gather a heap of snow together in my mitts and clasp it into a hardened ball of light, frozen raindrops. The sphere is sent air-born and it collides with your shoulder blade. It disperses as you swipe your hand over the clump and shoo it away and off of your jacket collar. I can see the cheery sparkle in your crystal blue eyes as you follow my example and wail one at me, hitting me roughly in the chest. I stumble backward a bit but regain my balance and get ready to fire back.
Our childish behavior results in foolishness for I have gone overboard, underestimating my strength, and thrown a ball so fiercely that you tumble into the ground, landing face up. I spring to your side, eager to apologize for my stupidity but instead, when I reach your fallen figure, my ears ring with the musical echo of your joyous laughter. I stare confusedly at you just as I would have if you were an alien with three heads. 'Shouldn't you be mad? Angered? Furious?' But no, your happy and laughing oh so merrily that it's as you've caught an illness and passed it on to me for I erupt in laughter as well.
I collapse down alongside you and turn to my side, using my elbow to support my build. I gaze at your beauty and you turn to stare back at me. I feel my cheeks getting hotter so I turn away but you see through the blushing. Out of the corner of my eye I see you smile warmly back at me.
Soon, I am hovering over you, my arms stabilizing my weight. Your hands are placed gently in the center of my chest. I expect you can feel the indents of my six-pack because I watch your eyes wander down to where my ribs are.
I examine your elegance beneath me: your eyes, your nose, your cheeks, your lips, and all an ideal representation of culminating flawlessness. It is your eyes I long to gaze at; your nose I hope to rest mine on; your cheeks I wish to brush my callused hand against; and your lips I aspire to feel amongst mine.
The distance between us diminishes and my head bows down to completely rid us of the space between our mouths. Mine is chapped and your is soft, just like the kiss we are now experiencing.
The visions around us are long forgotten and forced into the back of our busy minds. Your hands entangle themselves in my disheveled mass of hair. Your chocolate brown locks are fanned around your head like the sun, which still, surprisingly, gleams above. We both come away, a tad disoriented, for a very needed gasp of oxygen. I search your facial expressions for anything that might of hinted that I did something inappropriate. The evidence line draws blank. All that greets my eyes is the delicacy of your pleasant grin, which only allures me to go in for another kiss. The second attempt is more passionate and in the latter, I admit those five exquisite words.
"I love you Casey McDonald."
A/N: I hope you enjoyed it. I think it was pretty good. Don't forget to RxR!
