(Two weeks later)

Well everything was starting to go back to normal. Darry was out of the hospital. He got a new job at the bank across town. He didn’t really dig it, but it paid good. Johnny was still pretty upset about what happened at school. He’s a little happier because after school we went to Two-Bit’s house, while he was at my house, and went all the way. It really hurt. Two-Bit is still suspended for slugging a teacher. He was doing a little better. Dally had a cow when he heard about what happened. He wanted to jump all those kids. He talked to Johnny over and over about what happened and explained to him that kids these days are bastards. Sodapop got a new job as a janitor at the school to keep an eye on me. He really seems to like it. He’s a little upset about leaving Steve at the DX on his own. Me, I’m just dreading school. I don’t want to be around people that would hate me if they knew how I really am. But, I have to get through school anyway. I still have Johnny and the gang so, I’ll be okay…
