Marian looked out of the window. There was a storm coming, she could feel it. She watched the skies, and jumped at every clap of thunder. She wished robin was here to hold her. But he had left. A week ago he had told her that he was going to meet an old friend who may be able to contact King Richard. He would be gone for less than 2 weeks. She had been reluctant to let him go, but knew he must.

“wait for me?” he asked.

“of course” she replied and kissed him softly on the lips as he walked away.

Only two weeks she reminded herself, if that.

A flash of lighting. She couldn’t bear it anymore. She had to go to the gang, just to see a friendly face. She dressed in her nightwatchman outfit and silently exited the castle; she was amazed that she could leave with such ease. After trekking through the forest for about half an hour, she saw the cave that they were in. there was a faint light coming from it. She smiled to herself and went inside.

Tears of hope run down my skin.

They magnify the one within
And let the outside slowly die.

“Lady Marian!” much cried, “how good to see you.”

Marian beamed at much, “I’m sorry I’m here, I just needed company.”

They all noticed the sadness and loneliness in her voice and let her join them without a word.

Little john stiffened.

“what?” Djaq asked.

“can you hear that? It sounds like a horse……” they all listened in silence, and when they recognised the sound they ran out of the cave and saw Robin riding towards them on a beautiful black stallion. He dismounted and took a couple of steps.

“Robin!” Marian cried, and without another thought, she ran and threw herself at him. She kissed him passionately and he returned the kiss and lifted her off her feet.
