There were many things Cloud could do.

1. Let anyone with ten miles of the poor thing know how angsty he was.

“Damn it, Cloud!” The ninja yelled, tugging at her short hair. “If you don’t haul your ass and get over it now, I’ll do it for you!!!!”

Of course, that only made him sulk more…and made Yuffie all the more frustrated.

2. Wield humungous swords that were at least twice his tiny body mass.

“Holy shit!!” The blond man screamed, having barely dodged the younger male’s weapon in the middle of fighting. “Watch where you swing that thing, asshole!”

Simply ‘hmph’ing, he resumed, chopping random enemy’s heads’ off.

3. Another thing that should have been obvious by now…was that he a wonderful knack of knowing just what to do to piss people off.

“Ugh, you drive me up a fucking wall, Cloud!!!!” His childhood friend yelled. “You’re so stupid!”

Which led him to his usual emo-kid state.

4. Make friends he hadn’t tried to make. (Even though he drove them nuts.)

“Yo, man, glad you could make it!” The black man with a gun for a right arm smiled.

The red-cloaked figure nodded his agreement, and the three shot and hacked at the enemy.

5. He…had a knack for being the idol of kids.

“Cloud!” All the children in town pooled at his knees in hundreds, all smiling and tugging at his thin, surprised hands. “Cloud, you’re so cool!” “Cloud, play with us today!”

The poor thing just grinned and bore it, taking turns with them until he’d hung out with every child in the city.

6. Catch the attention of females more often than necessary.

“EEK!!” They would squeal, which drove his sensitive ears insane. “Cloud, We love you!!!! Ah, CLOUD!!!!”

Discreetly, he snuck away each time while others took notice and fumed that they had bothered him.

7. Be the best family man ever.

Tifa smiled, even as she wrote it, recollecting the events that had brought each number on.

“Tifa!” A boyish voice called. “Tifa, we’re waiting for you!”

Without further ado, she stood and padded down the steps to the kitchen, the same expression on her face.

“Hey, Tifa.” She was mildly shocked to see the spiky, blond hair, a shy grin on his face, and a wave of his hand. “Nice to see you again.”

Her face brightened even further when he engaged in happy conversation with the now-older Denzel and Marlene about what was going on in their lives.

Taking her place at the table, next to Cloud, of course, they had a normal family dinner, with everyone in place.

In an unusually flashy way, he kissed her cheek, regardless of the fact that the kids ‘eww’ed in the background, snickering at their care-takers, and just as soon returned to his meal.

Blushing and stuttering, she tried to recollect herself, only to earn more chuckles at her expense, even from Cloud himself.

8. And never cease to amaze me. She added mentally. Ever.
