Chapter 1) The news

Isabella Swan – Cullen wasn’t stupid, no on the contrary if she wanted to she could be one of the smartest people in the country and possibly the world. But at the moment she might’ve as well been the dumbest because she knew that she had been possibly sitting on their bathroom floor for over and hour just staring at the little plastic stick she held in her hand. Positive, for the first time since her marriage she thought nothing. She was speechless she inclined her head towards the mirror; she slowly got up and paced back to their bedroom.

As she lay she had thoughts going threw her head, how was she going to tell Edward, that she was pregnant? How? They had barely talked for months and it didn’t help that he was having an affair what was she to say? ‘Edward, I’m pregnant from one of our unintentionally sex revenues?’ No, she wasn’t stupid, Edward wouldn’t’ believe her it would probably be just an excuse from her to get him away from this mistresses and his job, his new wife. She felt the tears sting her eyes, from the very beginning of their relationship she had known having a relationship with him would be challenging, but he had assured her it would work out she was his and only his. How stupid had she been? To believe he had loved her when she was eighteen all the way until now. She had been blind.

She glanced at the clock next to their bed 9:15 PM. Figures he wouldn’t be back for another few hours, which was how it always was now since his promotion. He always said it was the only way to afford all of this wonderful hell. From the beginning she had only wanted him not his money just him. But she knew better he was supposed to be back at 8:00 PM, he was with her again. She knew it. How could she not have seen it coming Lauren Mallory his ‘secretary’ the one who had single handedly taken her happiness away. Edward hadn’t been home for days now; everyone thought that they had the ‘perfect’ marriage, if they could only see what really went on behind the mask.

Isabella Swan – Cullen had, had enough she wasn’t going to stand for this any longer, if Edward could have his own separate life then so could she, he clearly wanted Lauren and she wasn’t about to stand down anymore. That night Isabella Swan – Cullen wasn’t Cullen any longer just Swan, she took off her wedding ring to love and cherish what a lie. Grabbed her car keys and left him behind, after all Isabella Swan wasn’t stupid and at twenty four she had all it took to take him down. She wondered if that job with Jacob Black was still in play she did have to start somewhere. She touched her stomach and knew that her baby was growing inside her, she smiled and whispered to him or her.

“Soon, you will meet mommy.” Just because he was leaving him behind didn’t mean he hadn’t left her a gift.

Edward Cullen had well known for the past few months that his wife was getting steadily unhappier. But what could he do there was work, and Lauren. Don’t get him wrong at the beginning he hadn’t been interested in Lauren, but as the months went by he couldn’t help but lust after her, lust that was what it was. He had tried, many, many, many times to break of the affair but he couldn’t’ he always went back. It was a need a desire a drug. He lusted after Lauren he was a male, but he knew that one day he would push his wife over the edge so this was it, no more Lauren he swore to himself. He was going to gain back Bella.

But as Lauren invited him inside her home he couldn’t help but think maybe one last night. He woke up with a start at 10:00 PM, shit he had to go but he found Lauren peacefully sleeping at his side, he got out of her bed quickly and put on his clothes with speed, but when he glanced back at the bed he saw that Lauren was awake.

“Where are you going?”

“Home.”

“Why? You could always stay.”

“Lauren, I can’t anymore its over.”

“You always say that and always come back, admit it you love me!”

“No its just lust, Lauren this time I’m serious, I’m leaving.”

“But Edward!”

“NO!” I left her house; I quickly started up my Volvo and sped of to Bella. I got there, but I didn’t see her Bugatti in the driveway but I did see Alice’s Porsche. I got inside, to see Alice collapsed on the couch; she looked up at me her eyes puffy, stood up and pointed at me.

“YOU! Edward Anthony Cullen! How could you! I knew that one day you would push her too far and you have! And now she’s gone!” And she collapsed into tears again. I gathered my sister into my arms she pushed me away and looked up at me she slapped me with all the force she had.

“Just look at what I have in my hand.” I looked at her hand and saw Bella’s wedding ring, I looked up at Alice and she looked at me, what had I done?

“Where is she Alice?”

“I don’t know! I was coming over to take her shopping and I looked around for her, and she wasn’t here so I waited and then I saw the ring, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that she left you!”

“Are her things still here?”

“Yes.”

“Then she has to come back, maybe she’s just gone to scare me Alice.” But I doubted it in my heart.

“How much do you want to bet? You drove her away Edward!”

“I know. “ I felt the tears gather in my eyes. Why had I been so stupid, how could I have been so stupid! I knew that girls like Bella only came once in a lifetime and once they were gone they were gone. How could I have let my angel go away? Why?

“Edward, I think you should come with my tonight to tell the family. “ I just followed Alice out the door, and faced the warm April air, I would get her back, I thought as I got into the passenger seat of Alice’s Porsche.
