Author's Note:

Thank you all for being so patient with me! Aww, if I wasn't in school, the posting would be quicker than it is!!

Oh, well.

Anyhoo, I've noticed that Naruto and Sasuke have a weak interaction with the other characters; well, I'm gonna change that! It might not be much, but the interaction will increase. All you gotta do is bear with me here; I've appreciated how you all are patient with me in the past, and I still am. I just hope I don't ruin your well-earned chapter.

Anyway, here it is. Chapter Six of Blue Eyed Miracle!

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, which, for me, is a very true and disappointing fact.

Chapter 6: Under The Full Moon: Part 1

Burning yellow eyes bore into a pair of dark eyes that hid behind glasses, both of the owners seeming to have a non-verbal conversation at the moment. Suddenly, the one with yellow orbs spoke, his voice silky and low with a hint of hissing, like that of a snake.

"Tell me, Kabuto... have you found what I seek?"

The man in question nodded, pushing his glasses up casually, as he stared at his boss. "Of course I have, Orochimaru-sama. Everything you have asked for, including the Sand Demon, is within the chamber."

"And what of the children?"

"They set off for Tsunade's mansion at dawn. I'll set everything up before she can return from her job."

The man grinned lustfully, a grin that even Kabuto found quite disturbing, as the pale snake-lover licked his lips with his abnormally long tongue, slickening them with saliva.

'Just wait, my precious Sasuke... I'll get what I want, and the death of your kitsune monster will make things all the while sweeter...'

Onyx black eyes gazed over the massive body of blond fur intently, watching the animal breath lightly in his sleep. The dark gaze flipped over from the kitsune to look at all the others surrounding them, all of their small bodies pressed close to one another, as they slept relatively peacefully.

But, to the Uchiha child, this wasn't a new scenery.

In fact, he had gotten use to waking up to the scene each and every night for about a month, and it amazed him how easy it was to sleep outside, away from home, and still feel protected; he knew it was because of his pet kitsune he was currently using as a pillow.

Ever since his classmates first started teaching Sasuke how to at least walk, every thing had begun to become successful. He could walk without a problem, now up to trotting and sprinting in short periods of time. Hell, the kids even had meetings about when, how and where to train the Uchiha, and they're only in Kindergarden!

Super genius children, what can I say?

Back to the main point here, Sasuke really couldn't get himself to sleep, his mind trained on the announcement Shikamaru gave the other day.

Courtesy to Akamaru, Naruto had said that they were all going on a trip, and this is with the supervision of both him, Akamaru and Kakashi.

Just call it a fieldtrip... only without a bus, and a lot of walking.

This was comfirmed when Kakashi had said so himself that they'd be leaving in the morning, and it made Sasuke a little nervous; the trip itself was extended, and he didn't really know if he could walk for so long. But, he was sure everything would go smoothly, seeing Naruto would be there as the self-permitted protector.

'But it won't, if I stay awake...'

The boy knew that staying awake for the whole night won't do him any good in the morning, but his body refused to listen to him, not when there were birds constantly chirping ; the boy could have sworn he saw one of the birds smirk mockingly at him.

He sighed lightly before he snuggled against Naruto's shoulder, causing the fox to grunt and move his head to rest on the boy's body, his spiky mane ghosting over him like a curtain and shielding him from the outside cold. The Uchiha rubbed the kitsune's snout gently, wanting comfort for reasons unknown, and smiled, recieving the comfort when the fox opened his eyes to reveal deep, cerulean blue eyes.

Naruto twitched his ears sleepily, concious enough to know that Sasuke should be sleeping, before nuzzling the boy's face gently in greeting. Sasuke kept himself from giggling when the wet, black nose tickled his cheek, watching as the fox sleepily purred at him before placing his head in his lap, long fur warming him as the animal moved.

Sasuke found himself relaxing more than he already was, running his fingures through the blonde mane, as, suddenly, sleep began to take over him.

'It's gonna be a long day tommorow...' He thought tiredly, sleep finally seizing him, allowing his body to rest for the day ahead.

The day was, indeed, very long and filled with hazards; bugs plagued the travelling group, and everywhere they turned, they found some kind of homicidal animal... namely, in Ino's opinion, rabid squirrels. And, to top it off, the children were chased by a stray dog who found it amusing to try and bite at the kids, even Kakashi's, ankles... at least until Naruto scared him off with a loud snarl and glowing cerulean eyes.

So, to put it simple, the day had gone anything but smoothly, and Sasuke had never been so glad to see a destination in his life.

Tsunade's mansion.

Why they all had to go and stay at a mansion that had a hazard filled forest as a backyard was beyond Sasuke, but what made him mad about it all was that they went through the forest, a full two hour walk, when they could've just gotten there by car in thirty minutes...

He blamed Kakashi for the whole thing.

The person in question let out a loud sigh as he plopped down on the couch of the main living room, closing his eyes and resting his head against the comfortable armrest. The children all plopped down where they were standing, feeling too tired to move any further. Naruto layed down and allowed Sasuke to use him as a pillow, something the boy was getting addicted to; anyone would, if their pet was a lot more comfortable than the softess pillow.

"Well, now, it seems everyone's exghausted."

All eyes shifted to land on the dirty-blonde haired woman walking in the living room, arms crossed over her chest, as she looked over the exghausted group. Her honey-gold eyes landed on the sleeping form of Kakashi, his snores muffled slightly behind his mask; the doctor rolled her eyes.

"He made you all take the long way, eh?"

"Yes! He didn't even tell us that there was a road leading to this place!" An angry Kiba yelled, Akamaru barking his agreement, as the boy shot up from his spot against the wall, glaring half-heartedly at the napping teacher. Shino shook his head at the sudden loud outburst, and Shikamaru sighed, scratching his head.

"What a drag..." Neji snorted at the lazy comment, letting his head drop to his crossed arms, using the folded limbs as a pillow. Chouji, who sat beside Shikamaru, munched happily on a potato chip, not looking tired at all; the boy surprised Sasuke with his endurance and stamina.

The rest of the children just groaned out a 'yes' in response, making Tsunade smirk somewhat in amusement. But, having a heart, the woman moved around the room to stand before everyone, getting the children's attention with a loud grunt. "Okay then, kids, if you want to take a nap for a while, just follow me. I'll lead you all to your rooms." She announced, turning towards the stairs.

Everyone, except Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke, obliged, following the doctor upstairs to the warm beds that were promised to them.

As they dispersed, it left Naruto, Sasuke and the sleeping Kakashi alone in the living room, the area slightly darkened by the curtains shielding the sunlight. The kitsune was fast asleep, snoring lightly as he dozed, while he curled up slightly in response of Sasuke's petting, his tail thudding against the floor gently.

The boy giggled when Naruto seemed to smile at something goofily, twitching an ear every now and them, while his tongue hung out from the side of his closed mouth.

This entertained the raven for a good few seconds, until something caught his eye, causing him to turn to look at what interested him. There, on the fireplace's banister, was a, orange and blue picture album, the name Naruto written neatly as the cover of it, while a few small pictures of the mentioned fox decorated the cover. Sasuke stood up slowly, trying not to wake Naruto and to keep his balance, and made his way over to th album, standing on his tiptoes to grab it and slide it to his arms.

The boy then went back to the fox and sat down, leaning against his side, as he opened the book, his eyes trained on many pictures. A lot of them were of a younger Naruto and Tsunade, both grinning in every snap-shot, and many of them were of a puppy Naruto alone, his lips curled in, what appeared to be, a large friendly smile.

There was one that caught Sasuke's eye in an instant; it was a photo of a huge fox that was two times bigger than a school bus, blonde mane tipped with rusty red hairs, and crimson red eyes glowing brightly against the moonlight. A small smile was plastered on its lips, the blood-red orbs staring straight out at the viewer, as it seemed to wag its tail- all nine of them.

That caught Sasuke off gaurd, suddenly remembering the name of a kitsune his mother use to say during bed-time stories.

'The Nine-tailed Fox?' He asked silently, staring into the crimson eyes, as if trying to read them. While the creature was completely adorable in the picture, being only a pup, it had this intimidating look to it, although the kitsune looked as if it wouldn't purposely hurt anyone.

What surprised the boy even more was the familiar shape of Tsunade, looking small compared to the huge beast, a huge smile on her face as she hugged the animal's ear, perched directly beside it on its head; she looked like she was having the time of her life.

"Find this photo interesting, Sasuke?"

The boy, upon hearing his name, jumped slightly in surprise, turning around to gaze at the amused look Tsunade was giving him. He nodded his head in answer, looking back at the picture, as Tsunade sat down beside him, suddenly pulling the small raven into her lap along with the book; Sasuke found that he didn't mind the gesture.

Besides, her busty chest made a comfortable pillow.

"Do you know who this is, Sasuke?" She asked, her voice forcing a vibration through the child's body. He stared at the picture before looking up, seeing her eyes on him. "Isn't it Kyuubi?" She nodded her head, smiling down at him, before leaning forward, rocking his body in the same direction. "I suppose you can say that. But, tell me, who does the fox look like?"

Confusion etched across Sasuke's adorable features before he turned to the picture again, looking as closely and intentively as he could. Dark eyes widened a litte when he did find a resemblence to the kitsune in the photo and the kitsune he owned.

"...Naruto?"

Tsunade grinned at him before turning to look at the said fox, stroking his ears delicately, as she sighed. "I'll let you decide if it is Naruto or not. But, for now, get some rest. You've had a rough day today, and you'll going to need all your strength tommorow." She adviced, smiling when the child nodded in affirmative, despite his current confusion.

The doctor gently took the book from him and set him back against Naruto's side, standing up and walking out of the living room. With her out of the room, it left Sasuke with both the sleeping forms of the kitsune and Kakashi, and the vulpine's purring was slowly lulling his senses gently. He fought a yawn, only to fail, and shrugged to himself, figuring that there was no point in fighting his exghaustion.

So, he curled up, nudging closer to his gaurdian fox, before allowing the friendly darkness of sleep take him, a small, content smile gracing his lips.

Shikamaru listened closely to the conversation going on downstairs, ears pressed to the floor to attempt to hear what Tsunade was telling Sasuke. Occasionally, he would hear his classmate's voice, but not as much as Tsunade's, as they spoke; according to the few words he managed to make out, he figured that it all had something to do with Naruto, and the full moon.

But, the information finally stopped, as he heard Tsunade tell the boy to get some rest; he figured that, after a good ten minutes of silence, that Sasuke had fallen asleep. 'Ugh, what a drag...' He thought to himself, now having nothing better to do.

'Just when it was getting good...'

As the boy moved to get up, he suddenly stopped, hearing a deep voice from the room just below him; it had to be Kakashi, seeing that he was the only man adult in the house. His voice was low, but loud enough to hear through the floor's hard surface, and it was filled with something akin to cation.

'Catious... about what?'

The nervous feminine voice that followed it confirmed that something was, indeed, ingaging itself, something that the adults didn't like, apparently. Shikamaru, looked around the room, seeing that everyone was asleep, before getting up, swiftly but soundlessly making his way down the stairs.

He turned the corner and stopped just outside the living room, standing flat against the wall in the hallway, and he listened closely, the voices of the two adults loud enough for him to hear clearly.

"...n't the safest place to be, seeing that Orochimaru's still at large."

Kakashi began talking.

"True enough. However, knowing Orochimaru, he'll be able to track us down without problems; he knows a lot of cycotic people just like himself around the country, and leaving isn't the best of ideas."

Shikamaru heard Tsunade falture at the statement, a grunt sounding from the blonde haired woman before she spoke again. "I guess you're right... But, if we do stay here, we'll have no other choice but to at least find another gaurd for the children; Naruto is strong, but even he can't keep deflecting that pedophile's attempts forever... It may even eventually kill him."

A pause.

"...What about Jiraiya? He knows the toad chief, and I'm pretty sure he'll lend us a hand when needed."

"Yes, he would, and he is a good option... but it's not too wise to have a man walking around with a huge toad behind him. What I mean is that we need something about the same size as Naruto, maybe even smaller or bigger, as long as the demon is strong enough to protect and gaurd."

"...Shukaku. We can have Naruto speak with Shukaku... but that in itself may be too risky for him."

"I know that, if the reason is Sasuke, that brat would do anything to keep him safe, including the boy's classmates and family; so, we'll go with both of your plans, Kakashi. As for right now, we need to keep a watchful eye out... It's safe to say that we may have visitors some time during your stay..."

Shikamaru's eyes widened, realizing that, indeed, it was possible for Orochimaru to know where they were currently. 'How can I miss that!?' He mentally yelled to himself, smacking his forhead.

But, he stopped, running up the stairs and back into the rooms his classmates were in, closing the door behind him. The young boy then woke everyone up swiftly, kicking some of them out of their bed if needed be.

"Wake up, you lazy bums!"

Akamaru, the first to be woke, growled lowly and sulkily, glaring at Shikamaru. 'You're one to talk, boy...' But, his grumpy mood soon changed as Shikamaru began to speak to the sleep-hazed children.

"Hey, Shika, what gives? Why'd you wake us up?" Kiba asked, rubbing his eyes to try and rid them of sleep.

"It's about Orochimaru."

This statement immediately pulled the last remains of sleep and drowziness from the children, all of them now wide awake and alert. "...What about him, Shikamaru?" TenTen asked slowly, eyes narrowing with wariness.

"I heard miss Tsunade and Kakashi-sensei speaking in the kitchen, and they have worries about it all. They said that, with all the attempts Orochimaru's gonna have on us, especially Sasuke, it'll become too much for him... it may even result in his death, depending on the circumstances."

The kids all gasped, and Akamaru let out a distressed bark, but Shikamaru shook his head.

"Don't worry; the adults are working out a way that can prevent that, but that isn't the biggest problem now. The problem is that Orochimaru is still out there, and Tsunade said that there is a very possible chance that he might know where we are."

The room was filled with silence, the aura of fear mingling in the air. Everyone looked at each other, unsure of what to do, but Neji took care of the problem, speaking up.

"Well, then, we must make sure that nothing will go unexpected as it can get. I suggest that we keep watch; two of us will keep vigil on the roof for a certain amount of time, and we'll each take turns so we can keep ourselves rested." Everyone agreed to the plan, but before any further details could be said, a loud explosion sounded, shaking the whole house in it's wake.

The children all cried out is shock and fear, and, as another explosion erupted, the smell of smoke filled their noses, comfirming that they had been attacked.

That they were now inside a burning mansion.

TBC...

Finally, I posted up Chapter 6! Granted, it was a little short, but still, I'm quite happy with this chapter...

But I still think it was a bit rushed, and it could've been written better. Meh, oh well.

I'll start Chapter 7 when I can, and, to those who have read my Bittersweet fanfic, the next chapter will be coming up soon!!

:D

Happy Hunting:)
