Mai watched the TV as the news reporter described how many people had been killed right in front of the burning Domino High School.

"Over 200 people have been killed in the bombings and the death tolls is expected to rise."

"No…..it's a lie….."

A Year ago

"Congratulations Mai, you win…" said an exhausted Jounouchi before he passed out and the light green energy started to take his soul.

"JOUNOUCHI!" screamed a terrified Mai as she catched his body.

"I know that I would never se your face again…." Stammered Jounouchi "I'm glad you never got your soul taken…."

His body became comatose as he pushed Mai out of the orichaelchos.

"NOO!" screamed Mai as her Orichaelchos necklace smashed into pieces.

Present

"The attacks happened at 11:30 am, here in Japan, the fire fighters are still doing a body search." Reported the new reporter.

Just then Shizuka screaming at a stretcher covered in blood was shown in Mai's face.

"Jounouchi…." She sobbed "Why, why did you die in this bombing, you were just a CHILD!"

"The only known survivor was famous duelist Yuugi Mutou, he survived because he was late for school, Mr. Mutou, please tell me what you saw?"

"MY FRIENDS DYING, AND THEIR BODIES HAVING SHEETS PULLED OVER IT'S HEAD NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" Yuugi covered the camera.

Mai was stunned, Jounouchi and the others were all dead, killed by the attacks, they were only seventeen.

Near her Valon was just as stunned as was Vivian Wong, the Hawkins family were just as stunned, Rebecca was stunned to see Darling's friends dead and torn to pieces as was Professor Hawkins.

Meanwhile Amelda and Rapheal both saw the news also and were also stunned, and in Japan a young Judai Yuki held his head in agony as his parents ran to him.

And the Tenjoin Quartet looked at the fire with sad look in their faces.

"Onee-chan, are those people alright?" asked Kenichi to Asuka.

"I think they're dead…." Said Asuka.

And in Egypt, Mariku, Ishizu and Rishido saw the new also, just as stunned and sad as the others.

And back in Japan, the Marufuji and Manjome families were watching the fire also.

"Don't worry, Sho-chan, they might not be dying…" said Mrs Marufuji to her youngest son.

"Don't worry my sons, you three won't get killed like they were" said Mrs Manjome to her three sons, Chosaku, Shoji and Jun.

Shizuka cried on her brother's covered corpse, he was taking away so horrifically and quickly that she never got the chance to say goodbye to him.

Mai looked at the TV as the reporter named the casualties of the accident, then he said the very name Mai did not want to hear on the casualties list.

"Jounouchi Katsuya"

She fell down crying her head off.

She looked at a photo from Duelist Kingdom, she never got to say good bye when she last saw him, she was a BITCH, A FILTHY STINKING BITCH!

Mai wished she didn't join the DOMA gang, ever, otherwise they would have last seen each other in Battle City when she drove off to America or at least fought together instead of on opposite sides.

She curled into fetal position and sobbed her heart out, Valon and Vivian comforted her.

Yuugi arrived at Mai's place and they held each other crying their hearts out, weeks after the accident.

"Jounouchi…..I'm sorry….." sobbed Mai. Jounouchi's spirit was watching and tears streamed down his brown eyes.

"Sorry, Mai…"
