Sara went through her whole day talking to Gil. She wondered how she might someone so nice; no one had ever been nice to her. But, it wasn’t long until Sara went off the deep end. It was Sara and Gil’s final period of the day when he came over. “So I see you finally have someone to talk to freak,” David Hodges was such an ass and both Sara and Gil wanted to kill him.

“What the fuck is you’re problem?” Gil stood up and looked at Hodge’s with all the hate he had.

“There is nothing wrong with me but, there is something wrong with you’re whack job of a girlfriend! I bet when her dad was killed she was happy.” David looked at Sara and seen the hatred. Sara grabbed a hold of David’s neck and started to squeeze. David’s face started to turn bright pink then purple. Before David completely lost oxygen the teacher came over and pulled Sara away from David.

“Sara let go of him!” Her math teacher, Albert Robbins, yelled at her to let David go. Sara done as he said and let him go. David was gasping for air when she let him go; by now all of the students are gathered around hid recovering body.

“God you are a freak!” David’s voice was weak and barely auditable.

Sara moved away from his body and walked over to the classroom door. ‘What I am going to do now,’ Sara thought quite hard about her options.

“Sara go to the office now!” Mr. Robbins screamed at her. Sara didn’t argue she walked down the hall and walked into the office. There principle, Conrad Ecklie, was going to be furious at Sara for almost killing a student.

Gil was still there in class when he remembered about Sara not speaking, “Uh Mr. Robbins?”

Albert looked up from David, “Yeah what is it?”

“You sent Sara to the office and she doesn’t speak. But, she’ll talk to me through sign language. Do you want me to talk to her?”

Albert thought about it for a second and then nodded, “Yeah if she will only talk to you then it’s for the best.”

Gil nodded and walked to the office.

Whenever he got there he heard the principal yelling at Sara, “Why did you almost strangle that boy?” He heard no response which didn’t really surprise him.

The receptionist looked up at him and smiled, “Is there something you need?”
Gil nodded, “Mr. Robbins sent me to talk to Sara, the one he’s yelling at. She won’t speak to anyone but, me. I talk to her through sign language.”

The receptionist nodded, “Okay I will tell Mr. Ecklie and he will let you talk to her.” She walked over and knocked on the door.

Ecklie answered the door in an angry tone, “Yes?”

“Sir the girl you’re talking with isn’t going to say anything. She doesn’t talk to any one but, this young man,” she pointed over to Gil. “She talks sign language with him.”

Ecklie sighed, “Alright come in here and talk to her.”

He looked over Eckile’s shoulder and seen Sara sitting there freaked out. Gil walked over to Sara and she immediately tensed up. He kneeled down beside her, “What’s going on?” He asked her in sign language.

“I didn’t mean to I swear! Whenever he started talking about my parents I went off the deep end!” Sara sighed and drooped her head.

“Wait what about you’re parents?” Gil was curios as to what Hodges had meant earlier about her being happy that her dad was dead.

Sara sighed, “My dad was shot five years ago that’s why I moved here. I moved away from California with my mom. We had to get out of there it reminded me to much of him.”

“Oh Sara,” he wrapped her in a hug and just stood there. For about five minutes they sat in silence just looking at each other. Something was different than just friends after that moment in Ecklie’s office.
