The Intellect of Love -Chapter 1
By now Tory would have thought that Colin would have given him a little leeway. They were friends now, right?
So why was it that whenever they were together Colin would almost always practically ignore him?
As the bus they were on rocked about, Tory tried his best to get even a slight response form Colin who simply stared blankly out the bus window.
Tory tried to drum up a conversation using every subject imaginable, school, Mandy, at one point even mentioning Dr. Garrets.
But nothing seemed to move Colin enough to respond further than a simple “Mmm… or Ah.”
‘God I wish he would just talk to me!” exclaimed Tory to himself as the lay back onto his side of the bus seat in defeat.
Their time together was always like this and frankly Tory was getting sick of it.
He absent- mindingly ran his hand through his thick red locks and let out an exasperated sigh.
When he became ‘friends’ with Colin he thought his dull life would have finally ceased, but now things were just like they used to be and Tory didn’t like it one bit.
‘Why am I going to do now?” Tory asked himself.
The bus then made a surprising stop and practically pulled Tory into the seat in front of him with the force.
As he heaved himself from his position on the bus floor a glitter of black caught Tory’s eye which kept him there.
The figure to which the black glitter belonged to then emerged from beyond the crowds of people that secluded him and was revealed to be a boy, probably Tory and Colin’s age, who slightly resembled Colin himself.
His hair, though jet black, shone brightly as it desperately tried to decide in which side of his head it wanted to reside.
His eyes glowed a deep gold yet also emitted an aura of innocence which seemed to captivate Tory.
Tory continued to stare at the stranger despite not knowing exactly why. He took in every one of his beautiful features and it wasn’t long before he felt blood rushing to his cheeks and a warm feeling in his upper stomach.
“Tory, Tory!” yelled Colin wanting to get his attention.
Tory at last snapped out of his trance state and looked upon him hoping he wouldn’t notice his flushed cheeks.
“Yeah.” He answered shyly.
“Come on, we’re going to miss our stop.”
Colin motioned for Tory to stand so they could exit the bus, even as Tory had turned his attention back to the new mysterious boy.
As he and Colin stepped off the bus Tory knew he would probably never see the mysterious stranger again but secretly he had a hope he would.
Once he had sad his good-byes to Colin and rustled Paul up with his truths, Tory rushed up to his room and grabbed one of his long deserted journals and started to scribble furiously.
