There are no slippers in this dance. Only shoes. And maybe they could be forgiven, for not dancing close enough. It's awkward, this blushing and shuffling of feet.

Sirius stares captivated, while others do their best to ignore, a waltz with no witches at all.

His body goes through the motions- raise of arm, turn of wrist, and pink robes flare in the spin. But he is the dizzy one when she is done, for he has seen the slightest ghost of a kiss shared between two wizards with a self-conscious glance around the room.

And he wants that waltz.
